This product works PERFECTLY as described! RAVPower CAN power/charge TWO phones simultaneously, We tested it for several hours, (my wife using Google navigation + me browsing the web: 2 Samsung S5, i know, not the latest phones;)). I will buy RAVPower again for our second car. since my previous purchase of "2 packs" didn't work well at all. And btw it seems to be cheaper to buy two RAVPowers vs. my previous 2 pack "cr?p.". \\\\\\\ My previous 2 pack purchase: Smaller size wise!!! device (great , BUT) essentially similar product BUT COULDN'T charge the battery, despite the description "Dual". First my brother complained, after I let him to drive the car, I didn't believe at first, Until it happened to me. that is kinda important, when u don't know the route well/or at all and your phone battery starts dying while u r driving. the question was/is "dual" what? "holes" then yes, there are two USB "holes", but couldn't charge even one phone. I purchased the RAVPower 24W 4.8A Mini Dual USB Car Cigarette Lighter Adapter for my 2016 Mercedes GLE350. I have tried Skosche, Griffin, and another, but they would not work. Problem is that there are two prongs designed to connect with heating element in cigarette lighter that interfere with the adapter going deep enough into the socket to make contact at the tip with the positive 12v DC. This adapter has a longer tip which solves this problem. Also it is sufficiently small enough that when removing the usb cables I can still slide close the console cover without removing the adapter. Both usb sockets worked to charge my iPhone6s plus and iPad 5th gen. I don’t have a tool to easily measure the charge current so can’t comment on that and can’t comment on long term reliability. 5 stars for now.

my last review I mentioned DOA and I offered a 1 star rating cause of this. COMPLETE REVERSAL-I received a 2nd one and this one works properly. It is small in size which is exactly what I was hoping for. It is far less inconspicuous as compared to many other typical larger ones. PLUS, this one fancies not just one USB port like my older one but 2 USB ports. Both ports will charge at the same time. I tried this out in my Honda element but I needed to use pliers to remove it. I bought this to use on my Kymco Like 200 scooter which came equipped with a cigarette light input. This is why I purchased this unit. I inserted it and tried to remove it and it came out easily like it is supposed to. I guess the Honda element has a tight cigarette light input.

Tighten the head down just in case

Bought this in January, a little over a month ago. When I got it, it looked well made so I plugged it into my car and left it. Enjoyed the 4.8A speeds. Today, however, I unplugged it for the first time to move it to my truck. When I pulled it out the cap wasn't attached to the body, and I lost the little metal contact piece that is supposed to be the nose. Apparently these parts just screw together and mine wasn't all that tight. Be warned. UPDATE: Their Customer Service team contacted me and offered a replacement for my product. Awesome dealing with them.

Would purchase again

Works great. I like that it's small and has two ports, so both me and my passenger can charge our phones at the same time. Also, I was worried that it would be so small that it would be stuck forever in my car's cigarette lighter, but it's not. That ridge around the top edge sticks out enough that you can easily remove it with no problem. Seems well-constructed, and I like that it's made of mostly metal and not cheap plastic.

Fast charging, lights up, snug fit, quality housing

Starting to like RAVPower's products a lot more. Starting from their 13400mAh Portable Power Bank to the dual USB charger and now this mini one, all three products have been working well for me. The charging is fast especially if you're using a 2.4A USB inlet. I can finally close the door to the cigarette port that i stuck this charger in! Its a snug fit, has a nice housing, and one of the ports lights up blue so you can see in the dark. However, if i try to pull my usb cord out, the charger will come with it too so maybe you have to hold it down slightly in order to prevent the charger from popping out. Overall good quality build and will recommend for people looking for a small charger.

This works really well! I bought it because of it's small size. My cigarette lighter port is really close to my manual transmission shifter, and I found that my old longer charger would get in the way. Not this one! It's easy enough to remove when I get out of the car as well. It seems to charge my iPhone 6s+ pretty quickly, even when using my bluetooth adapter plugged in at the same time.

I truly am amazed at technology, and how devices can be made smaller but yet do more. This charger plug is no exception. I know a gazillion personal pictures of this thing have been uploaded to give you a sense of just how small it is, but let me be the first to compare it to the size of a human finger (a thumb to be exact, and a left thumb to be even more exact). I guess if this is just going to live in your cigarette lighter plug, the tiny form factor many not be necessary. However, if you need to throw it in your jeans pocket to carry it around, it might just get lost in there while trying to fish it out around your car keys! Enough about size...being able to charge both mine and the misses devices while on road trips is essential. Ask yourself when the last time was that you had to make that life-altering decision with your significant other of who should get to charge their device..."I'm at 32%...oh yeah...I'm at 19%". Sound familiar?! That'll be a thing of the past with this dual port charger, and everyone will live happily ever after! I hope this helps!!

Very nice value!

This is a solid product! The mini-charger puts the ports just above the lighter socket so if you are in need of something low-profile to fit a covered or retractable socket, this will do you very well! There is a dim blue led within the charger that indicates power. It is not distracting at night but can be hard to see during the day. Personally I prefer this to something brighter. The charger can handle 5 volts (USB) with 2.4 amps in each port. (5 volts * 4.8 amps = 24 watts) This should be sufficient to charge most phones and tablets without a problem.
