Great purchase, great customer support

The band looks great and feels durable. I am using it with my Apple Watch and a BARTON Band Adapter. However, I am unhappy with the quick release switch. After using the band for a couple of days, the quick release pin sunk inside the band and is not easily reachable anymore. It is not anymore a "swap in seconds" band, since I need to use a knife to move the pins whenever I want to detach the band. UPDATE (Nov. 2017): I contacted Barton's customer support and I have to say it is fantastic. They refunded my purchase AND sent my a replacement band, also with a gift. Wow. I changed my previous rating to five stars.

Looks Great! Super Quality!

I have just put this band on my watch, so this is just my initial impression. This band is very thick, the stitching appears to be very strong. Installation was very easy with the quick release system. Removing the old band was the hardest part, but by putting 2 regular staples together and pushing them into the hole on the outside of the band mounting ears I was able to remove the old pins with no problem. The only issue I have with the band is that the Khaki color is somewhat lighter than what it appears on the screen. But I can live with that as I'm sure it will darken with wear and dirt. *** Update: Been wearing this band daily for almost a full month and it his holding up remarkably well. I am just as happy with it now as I was when it first arrived. Definitely buy this band if you want a great quality product!

My favorite band for my Seiko 5 Sports watch

I have plenty of 22mm various bands. This is the perfect match for my Seiko 5 Sports watch. The army green canvas matches very nicely with the style of the Seiko military field watch. I wasn't that big of a fan of the original black band that came with the watch and immediately replaced it. This Barton band improves the style by a lot. Style? Great style that matches my watch. Quality? High quality canvas with nice hardware. It should last a long time. Fit and comfort? Very comfortable with the softness material and light weight and it sizes perfectly with my 7" wrist. Easy to swap? With the quick release, it is very easy to swap with various bands.... Cons? The quick release spring bar isn't as thick and strong as the manufacturer's spring bar but it doesn't really have any effect on its effectiveness. It is plenty of strong enough. The pro of quick release knob outweighs the con. I don't see the spring bars breaking off.... Also by swapping out the 22mm spring bars with 23mm spring bars in the band, I can even use the canvas band with my Fitbit Versa.

So far, so good!

Really happy with this so far! Admittedly, it's only been a week, but I much prefer this band to the one that comes with the LG Watch style, not only because I don't like wearing leather, but also because it looks better on the wrist by sitting more flush. I bought this hoping that it would prevent any sweating and it's been perfect. The color selection is a bonus! I will say, for the LG Watch Style, you will not be able to attach this band using the easy, "swappable" band feature. You will need a small screwdriver to remove the bar that holds on to the original band in order to install this one. It's still a pretty easy process that you can look up on Youtube, but it's much more work than the clip-on bands that the watch comes with. The quality of the band is great, too. It doesn't feel or look cheap or flimsy. Hoping to get it in some more colors soon!

Great band, but be careful.

So, I love this band. However, I do want to make sure future purchasers double check their watch and band before ordering. I ordered a 20mm to replace the silicone band on an Expedition. The correct band was sent, but wouldn't fit. I double-checked the Expedition band size, and yup, 20mm. "What the fudge is this Bolshevik?" I wondered aloud. Comparing the bands physically, one on top of the other, they were identical in width. THEN I discovered the issue. While the Expedition does indeed take a 20mm band, the distance betwixt holes in the lugs is definitely smaller; probably 16mm. I trimmed the bands down at the ends where the pins go through, and also had to swap back to my old non-interchangeable pins. Now, it's on, and I love it. So, make sure your band is the same width end to end and doesn't get wider or narrower at the pin end. And, why the 5 star rating if I had to deal with that? Well, that was Timex's fault, not Barton's.

Usually excellent quality from Barton, but not this time (revised to excellent)

I have reviewed these before for different purchases (for 20mm and 22mm). I recently picked up another 18mm watch, and wanted to match it with a green canvas strap so I went ahead and got my standard strap brand order in for canvas bands (Barton, obviously). Never had any issues before, and quality has been excellent throughout my years of using Barton bands, so I did not expect any issuss. Disappointed for this one though as the inner tube of the quick release pins is just a tad bit too wide to be installed on my watch. I double checked the lug width and the band width/ordered type, and it should be a fit for 18mm. I ordered these partially because of the added luxury of quick release spring bars, so while replacing those with regular spring bars is an option, I chose to just return this one instead. Sticking to 20/22mm for Barton for these in the future. Edit: I reached out to Barton, and they promptly helped me out with getting a replacement. The rep I was in contact with was direct, friendly and to the point, and a joy to interact with. Slips in QC can always happen, and Barton definitely stands behind their product and tries to make the best out of it!

This guys are the real deal! Thanks to Zach, Scott, and Clay. Awesome customer service. I bought the 22mm canvas bands in black and nantucket blue. I love how these look. They seem to be good quality and well made. Stitching looks pretty good inside and out. The quick release pins work great and make it super easy to switch between bands. I also got Barton's black adapters for my 42mm Apple Watch and they seem to be working great too. You can hear them click when sliding them in and they slide in and out as expected. The fit and color are a clear match to te watch. Time will tell how long the bands and adapters last... I'll update if anything goes wrong. But I'm absolutely loving these products and am completely satisfied with my purchase. Just wish I would've also bought their black buckle to go full black with my Apple Watch... a few pictures attached. Thanks Barton!

Putting Other Colors on My Christmas List

Just got this today so I will revise if my opinion changes. I have a Gear 3 Frontier which I wear everyday for its communication, health and safety features, so I need a band that is comfortable while driving, keyboarding, gardening, etc., dark to dark. It also needs to be easy to adjust throughout the day. The original silicon band was too stiff and too hot. Nylon bands were hot and stiff, almost cutting into the skin at the edges. The Band felt secure and was easy to adjust but was too wide for comfort and its velcro attracted lint. The affordable leather bands on Amazon look cheap and I'm allergic to metal bands. Whine, whine, whine, right? This canvas band hits all my marks. Breathable, easy to attach to the watch, comfortable width without the wider patch under the watch itself like The Band, lots of holes set close together for easy adjustment, cleans with damp cloth, fits on the charger, overall a nice compromise between sturdy and good-looking. The red is a true blue red that looks great with my black watch. I will be back for more colors.

First thank you to a youtuber i follow named EBPMAN for reviewing these and bringing these to my attention. These are the most simple, classy, elegant, stylish, but very casual watch bands i've purchase to date. I bought 4 first because i thought i would like them but wasn't sure, but these are definitely must haves. I will be purchasing the remaining colors, and would like to ask the company to please make more colors available. Durability and comfort are pretty much guaranteed with these watch bands. Highly recommended. Also the quick release pins are perfectly sized & strong something I feel that's missing from a lot of quick release watch bands.

Love this Barton watch band.

This 22mm band looks great on my S3 Frontier, really glad I got the black elite buckle too. Has been extremely comfortable so far and doesn't rub a sore on my wrist like the original silicone band. Pins were all easy to remove and install with just my short fingernails and fit perfect. The canvas at the buckle was sturdy feeling yet still easy to just use my fingernail to replace the buckle. The band appears to have a stiffer core yet the outside is very soft and comfortable even on the edges. The canvas band has no taper from watch side to buckle side, 22mm band uses 22mm buckle. Haven't had it long enough to speak about the long term durability, but the company stands by their product from what I've seen so I'm not worried. Got my eyes on a couple more colors and the gray buckle next. I will clean every week but looks like it will wear nicely over time. Would highly recommend for any watch.
