This seat is amazing, so useful, very sturdy. I read a few reviews when looking to purchase that said it was wobbly on the toilet bit I found that when using forward on the toilet seat instead of toward the back of the seat like the instructions say to the seat will teeter forward. A con would be that this seat would be difficult to unfold one handed but possible if you have a minute since you have to hold the grey buttons on the bottom to completely unfold or close the oxo seat however that is what make the seat so secure and sturdy and well as safe. And if you're concerned about the back of your little ones legs touching the toilet seat especially in a public place is would recommend getting sa fabric or disposable seat cover to place under the oxo seat since it does not cover the whole seat and must be placed further back on the toilet. Compare to the kalencom seat this one seems much more comfortable and contoured. My 18lb 6 month old sits perfectly on this seat for ECers who are wondering if this seat would be small enough. Something to consider is that the splash guard is a little short for boys, it could easily be a messy situation if not sitting or aimed properly . However for me, the cons far outweigh the pros and the convenience and ease of this product it s a multi functional travel potty that would sit any baby able to sit themselves what more could I ask for that your can take anywhere? Love love love

Wonderful for using on the go, in the car. We were waiting in the car for my husband to get coffee, and my newly potty trained son announces he has to pee. I ask him if he can wait until we get home. He says "Nope!" I whip out this potty and ask if he would pee on this. He says "Yes!" I set it up, and sure enough he peed in it! You can use the bags they sell for this potty, and you can easily attach your own grocery store plastic bag. So glad I bought this!

Best thing ever. For potty training this really is essential. Now we can leave the house and not worry. Toddler says "pee!" and we can accommodate. Useful in a public bathroom, parking lot, side of the road, etc. Best features: The plastic bag covers the entire seat, so this thing always stays clean. Plus it has a travel bag. Tip: after using it, prep a new bag for it before putting it back in the travel bag. Then when you need it, it's all ready to go.

We used the potette with our first two kids and I loved it, except how hard it was to click the legs into and out of the standing position. When I saw the video for this travel potty, it looked like it would be much easier to set up and it is! I love that I'm not having to grab ahold of the bottom of the leg that has touched the floor in a public bathroom in order to close the legs. With this one, you just push a little button and the legs easily close.

I love this portable potty so much, I bought an extra to put in my husband's car! I just use grocery bags instead of buying the expensive OXO versions. As I unpack groceries, I set aside any bag that has NO holes in it. I then double bag 2 of the good bags and fold 6 half-size sheets or 3 full-size sheets of paper towels. I carry a bunch of these in each car at all times. I have 5 kids, 2 of which are toddlers who cannot "hold it" as well as the rest of us. So these have saved us over and over. If we are on a road trip, or too far from a public restroom, or whatever, my little ones can go potty wherever we are. I have even taken them to the lake or beach and created a little "restroom" using our 3-sided beach cover. Great for camping so you don't have to take them out in the dark to the porta-potty at the campsite. They are also great for public restrooms. Those who hate sitting their little kids on public toilets - this is for you! You fold out the legs an extra click and bam, you have a seat that sits on top of the public toilet, so their little bums do not touch the public seat. Voila! Once my kids start having kids, this will be my first gift at the baby showers!

I just recently potty trained my daughter and I wanted to make sure that when we went out anywhere I would have a way for her to use the bathroom. Initially I bought it for the stand alone feature, like if it was an emergency and I needed to pull over for her to go to the bathroom I could. Turns out I never had to use it for this reason yet, which I am absolutely ok with. I have used it in MANY times in public bathrooms. I was a little hesitant that it wouldn't work in certain situations, but I was wrong. I have used it in park bathrooms that have no actual lift up seat on them, I have used in in port-a-potties, and I have used it in normal bathrooms. It fits great in all these circumstances. An unexpected plus is that my daughter likes to hold the side of the toilet seat when she goes to the bathroom and its nice because she can actually put her hands on the flip out legs and I don't have to worry about her touching the public bathroom at all. And lastly, when you take your kid to the restroom, you might as well go too. Well, I was in a hurry to use the bathroom because I just wanted to get my kid out of there before she touched everything after she went, so I didn't bother to put the potty seat away, I just used it too. And I gotta say, it was so much better than squatting or putting my own butt on the public seat! Only slightly embarrassed for having used it! :)

We LOVE this travel potty! It works great, slides right into our diaper bag without taking up a ton of room, and it is so easy to use. We brought it on vacation with us, we bring it to the state park, and to family members houses - my son loves it! I love that it can stand up to use with the bags and also can sit right on top of an adult size toilet. We have used it on top of several different toilets and have had no issues with the seat not fitting. Sure, if my son wiggles a little, the seat does, too, but it's a universal design. It is going to fit some toilets better than others. Overall, it is GREAT! Gives me great piece of mind knowing that no matter where we are, my son won't have to wait to use the restroom. Buy one today! You will not regret it!

BEST PURCHASE.. one complaint at end of review. TIP: I bought biodegradable grocery bags to use instead of their refill bags. Got a stack of 100 for $7. They work great, and I feel a little better for the environment tossing bowel movements in the trash. I am concerned about plastic. I drop a tissue or napkin down there to help with any splatter. Easy. Seriously, I keep in my car. So easy to pull over and let the child use this and not run into a store. It folds out and can use on any potty to keep them from falling. It is VERY easy to take to the beach, or camping or even to a friends house. This is very versatile. My ONLY complaint, is I wish it stood a little taller, I really wish.. However, I love this product.

Not as compact as an older folding travel seat I had, but definitely better quality. I used it both ways. I used the stand potty in the back of the car on road trips or day trips in the outdoors; I don't like how they kid has to sit on the bag though, how uncomfortable. Also, it is quite short, so my kid's legs had to stretch out when we used it in the back of the car. I noticed it says 12mnths for the standing potty. It works well on top of home potties and in public. In public, you run into the dilemma of "do i put the seat all the way back like the instructions say and have their pants and/or legs touching that nasty part of the public toilet that their seat doesnt touch?!" or "do I have the seat towards the front and have to make sure they dont wiggle too much to fall forward?" I opted for the second. I kept it more forward then is recommended, occasionally needing to hold it down on one side with a finger (sometimes it was a tad wobbly, but definitely more comfortable...to be clear, wobbly DOES NOT mean risk of falling off/in). It comes with a plastic carrying bag. TIP FOR POTTY TRAINING PARENTS! after you get the hang of potty training: When you are out in public and you forgot the travel seat, sit the child sideways on the public toilet. This doesnt work with pooping, but its much more comfortable for them. You do have to hold the child under the armpits (obviously!), but they pee, you wipe one handed real quick and BAM get out of the stall in like a minute!

I ordered this toddler potty seat a few days ago for my 2.5 yo. My daughter has been doing such a great job at using the potty, and it arrived on our door step on a Friday. Perfect timing to go out to eat that night. It fit perfectly in her mini back pack. I left it in the plastic bag it comes with. It was a cheap easy to use plastic bag with a nylon draw string...seems like it will last a good while. Later that night we went to the restaurant and sure enough, half way thru dinner she needed to go. Off we went. I opened the bag, clicked the legs into place and sat it on the toilet. The little grey buttons are a tiny bit tough to click at first but no more difficult than learning how to get a baby seat buckle to unlatch (and those are tough with nails). Lifted my little one on to the seat and voila! Worked perfectly. I'm satisfied. I would definitely recommend this for toddlers and parents who like to take their kiddos on errands, road trips, and family outings.
