UPDATE 6/1/18: Amazon replaced my defective unit and it works great. I realize I forgot to mention in the review that the speakers are absolute trash. But I prefer to use headphones anyway so I'm not bothered, especially for the price. This monitor is pretty great! I give four stars for one reason: I ordered two and one came opened and cracked. Once they ship my replacement and I see it in working order, I'll bump it to five stars. The variety of inputs makes this monitor easy to use and set up. This is a VA panel, so don't expect the absolute best colors and viewing angles, but I found it to be more than satisfactory for my needs. The curvature is subtle and after using it for a few minutes, I got used to it. I had to do some major calibration when I first set it up, however. The gamma and color values were way out of wack making the display look very washed out. After calibration, colors look amazing and I couldn't be happier with the build quality. Brushed metal everywhere except the front. The included stand is a bit awkward to install, but they include a small screwdriver to assist in reaching the awkward spots. It also includes good documentation and a limited warranty, but upon further reading, it appears the warranty is pretty useless because it doesn't cover shipping damage or damage caused by the user, so that's kinda dumb. For the price, however, I would gladly buy it again. And I will once they refund my defective unit. I was really disappointed that I received a cracked screen on my second one. I hear this is not an isolated case, and many other reviews would indicate theirs also had defects or likewise. Overall I'm very happy with this monitor, just be cautious about possible defects and be ready to return it if necessary. Again I'll bump up to five stars when they replace my defective unit. Thanks.

After shopping around I decided to purchase 2 of these because you can't beat the price and honestly it's 2017 I don't know why so many monitors are still over priced. This was one of few that had VESA mounting capability at this size. The only bad reviews are saying that you can't mount it, you can, it's really easy- see my photos. My mount didn't come with spacers so I e-mailed Sceptre and they priority mailed me spacers. Now I have a great curved home office at about half the cost. I've been using them for a week- picture quality is great, I mostly use them for work and don't do and gaming so i can't really speak to that. As long as they last a while, I'll be very happy, they look great.

I was nervous from the reviews that I would find dead pixels or blacks would look greyed out. I took the advice from one of the reviewers about ignoring those flaws and getting these for my new gaming system. I'm so glad I did. These monitors are gorgeous, out of the box. I was careful not to take the protection off the front of the screen until I absolutely had them in the right position. Granted, I have only used them two days now but I'm making sure I turn them off when not in use and have good ventilation in the room to not overheat the system they are connected to or the monitors themselves. I'm very pleased with this purchase. The only downside would be the speakers, they are not the greatest quality but I'm not taking anything off for them because many of the monitors available like this do not have speakers period so I felt I was getting a real bargain having the speakers included.

Most of the people's problems I've been reading on here was an experience I was having when I initially hooked up the monitor. There was a white fuzzy outline, colors were washed out, the blacks were more of a light grey. Well after reading another review on here I noticed someone said you needed to change it from 60hz to 75hz in advanced display settings as pictured. After the change the monitor was really all I was hoping for. I think many people are leaving it at 60hz unknowingly and the above stated problems remain for them. Hope this helps someone looking for an answer to the monitor problems like I was. I have no idea why you have to manually go in and change that instead of it being automatic. This has probably resulted in many returns.

I recently purchased this for a budget gaming computer I built. I was using a 32" tv monitor previously and this monitors picture puts the tv monitor to shame! This monitor is perfect size for what I was looking for. I debated on the 32" version of this monitor but decided to go with the 27". I am glad I did because it fits my needs well. I am looking into purchasing another one of these to run a dual monitor setup eventually. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a affordable monitor that works with all normal PC needs. Pros: Lightweight Sturdy Clean Look Great Picture for Gaming Easy to set up VESA Mountable Cons: Speakers have no strength to them. They do sound clear but there is virtually no thump or bass to any beats. Just good flat line crisp sound. (This is not an issue as I prefer to use a Gaming Headset or some beefy computer plug in speakers with sub woofer.

Don't understand all of the bad reviews. Mine looks beautiful and worked perfectly right out of the box. It took a day or two to get use to but thats normal getting use to any new monitor. Very bright, just perfect.

June 2, 2017. The monitors arrived well packed and undamaged. Hooked it up and didn't notice any issues at all. I was concerned after reading a few reviews of damaged displays. I bought these to update my older 21.4" displays for surround gaming. The VESA mounting standoffs were included in all 3 monitors thankfully. This is because the monitor stand attachment protrudes out the back and without it, you won't be able to use the VESA mounting points on the back. Will update this review after a few months of use. Liking it so far.

I wanted to wait till I'd had this monitor a few months before writing this review. Now after using it for well over 3 months I have to say it is by far the best monitor I've ever owned. The quality of the picture is outstanding, especially when viewing streaming video thru Netflix or Amazon Prime. The 27 inch curved screen makes for a comfortable viewing experience even from several feet away. The only negative I've found is the controls on the rear of the monitor make for an awkward experience, but since I've only had to make a couple of adjustments over 3 months, this is easy to dismiss. I'm very satisfied with this purchase and I remember being more than a bit skeptical about buying a monitor this way due to concerns about delivery in the rural area I live in. Very glad I did it!

This curved monitor is great! I bought it for my wife, but might steal it or buy another. It has a good assortment of inputs, but the main feature is the much tighter curve than some other "curved" monitors that I own. It truly makes viewing any part of the screen as good as any other. The only disadvantage is that it tilts downward, as if it were designed to be set above your head height. We put small books under the front of it to make it level with my wife's face in use. We didn't notice any bad pixels or any faults in the display.

I normally wouldn't write a review this soon after receiving an item (2 days) but I too had noticed the sort of "pixel fog" that others were describing. I tried updating drivers, going through all the settings both for the monitor and my video card, everything. Finally I noticed that, in the adapter properties, the refresh rate was set to 60 hertz instead of 75. Once I made that change, this monitor became everything I hoped it would be!* *I didn't notice that it had speakers when I bought it, so I wasn't hoping for those. If you are buying this because you want an awesome monitor with even adequate built-in speakers, look elsewhere. The speakers sound like 1990s earbuds dropped into a tin can.
