Great Toys, Great Price
I have three dogs, and two of them are rough on toys. My newest dog, a pit mix, is just learning the joy of toys, and he and my min pin, who is surprisingly the power chewer in the family, love to play tug-of-war, so I thought this looked like a good deal because I saw that it had a variety of sizes and several items that looked like good tug-of-war toys. When I opened the box and saw the toys, I was really impressed with the quality. The rope is soft but strong, and the boys really enjoy chewing on them. There was such a bounty that I was able to select a few of the extra smaller toys to bring to a friend at work who recently adopted a puppy. Given the great price and high quality, and that the purchase helps to fund animal rescue, I believe I will be purchasing these again to donate.

GREAT set of chew toys!!!
After my little Parti Yorkie kept chewing plastic stuff to bits, I turned to ropes. This seemed like a good bundle, so I bought it and tried it. I was VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!!! One thing I like is that the ropes are absorbent so I don't get handful of wet goop every time it's my turn to grab it. Another thing I like is that these are STURDY and the knots are VERY tight (I can't even untie them using two pliers!). Even though my dog is only 3.5 pounds, she enjoys 10 out of 11 toys in this set! Her favorite is the blue rope with the ball on the end. I gave the large, textured, hot dog shaped rope to my neighbor with a bigger dog because it was just a little bit too big for my dog. She chews, she tugs, and she drags around these toys and they still look brand new after two months of use. I put them all in the box again at the end of the day and the next day she gets just as excited to see each one of her toys all over again as they come out of the box one by one during playtime.

Young again!! Wow, our dogs perked up with these new toys!! We have a red-nosed pit (8yrs) & a coon-hound mix (6 yrs) who are best friends. As our pit gets older- he has developed a chewing habit & chews patches of his skin/fur til it bleeds. No bugs. No dermatitis. No skin issues- he just has a nervous tick/twitch making him chew. We put a cone on him months ago & he pulls it off. So, the toys have helped tremendously!! Giving him something to chew on & be distracted by those. It has brought out the puppy in both dogs! That's the best part! The way they have become youthful again & are enjoying themselves throughout the day. Thank you so much! Tons of fun!!!

Great buy for the price
Everything in this set, with the exception of the frisby thing, is great. Our German Shepherd puppy loves them all and they have proven to be a diversionary tactic against things like cabinet knob chewing and ankle/toe nipping. She loves to play tug and the ball has probably become one of her favs. The only recommendation is to not include the frisby as it lasted less than 10 minutes before was completely destroyed. Would suggest adding a 2nd ball in its place. Otherwise, will definitely buy again once need to replace.

Good toys.
Very good toys. Well made, and quality material. However, I bought these for my 2 yo Great Dane. He is 140 lbs and prolific chewer. The giraffe and the carrot were done for the first day. The blue "disk" took two days, and the rest of the toys are still here - mostly in tatters - but he carries them around and chews on what's left from time to time. I did not expect these - or any - toys to last very long with him. Also, I had to remove the two toys with plastic on them. (The figure 8 and the orange/white loop with the handle.) He chewed the plastic into pieces and I was afraid he would swallow some of them. Other than that, I like the toys and consider them well worth the price.

There is nothing more annoying then cleaning up the mess of the torn up toys that my mini version of Cujo leaves in her wake. Whether white stuffing or tattered casings, Tonks the impaler puts all her toys out of their misery in short order. That has not been the case with Pacific Pups. Try as she might, these rugged toys have stood up to the Tonks test. She has a very specific affinity for the giraffe rope and is constantly looking for the next game of fetch or tug of war. I would highly recommend these toys for anyone tired of cleaning up the mess left by anyone with a toothy pooch.

Original Review Revised 06/27/2019, "Pacific Pup's Reply," and a *REVISED EVALUATION*
*Based on the following email from Pacific Pup Rescue, I deleted my negative ★ review and replaced it ★★★★★ along with the following reply.* EMAIL FROM PACIFIC PUP RESCUE: "We are a small rescue and I do almost all of the work myself, so I spend a lot of time driving to shelters and don't stay on top of my emails as well as I would like. Your original email got buried in other emails. I hope to get some help soon, so hopefully this wont happen to another customer email. "In regard to the toys causing [your] dogs to cough, I am sorry that happened! We sell hundreds of these and are literally the only seller on Amazon of these toys who pays for the expensive lab testing for toxicity so I am very surprised to hear this. I cant help but wonder if the toys were packed in a [bag] that was somehow tainted. We have never had anyone claim the toys made their dog cough before. For them to make all of your dogs cough makes me wonder if something happened to your ropes at the warehouse or during shipping. It is terrible and I am glad you took them away. "I have asked the lab to retest the toys. We are devoted to rescuing dogs and the idea that something could make them sick is very disturbing. "I would be happy to refund your money and send you a replacement after they have been retested. Thank you for your email." …*END EMAIL FROM PACIFIC PUP RESCUE* *MY REPLY AND NEW EVALUATION: ★★★★★* *I appreciate your email and the proffered refund, but I don’t want a refund; rather, I prefer that you put any profit you made to good use (perhaps treats or transportation for a foster dog or a hot beverage or gasoline for you). Having traveled thousands of miles while working with a few rescues over the past 50 years, I understand only a fraction of what you do every day – rather than the dream, reality rears its head in myriad ways. After the re-test, I would be grateful if you shared the results. I would be happy to pay for as well as to test any of the rope toys with my Collies. *[On a recent late-night TV show, a professional athlete put on display a few of his championship rings – rings too large to wear. Something is wrong in society when an athlete garners oversize jewelry and what is more than a lifetime salary for most of us, while an animal rescue must beg, borrow, and steal in order to survive. (And yes I mean *steal*. After I learned that a Collie puppy 1100 miles away was staked in a back yard 24/7 where the owner abused him, and kids on bikes road in circles around him and threw stones at him – I cut his chain at 3:30AM and smuggled him through an Underground Collie Railroad to emergency vet care.) He's now one of my Collies. Has some problems, but not the same problems. Who wouldn't after experiencing 12 months of torture, abuse, and neglect? But he knows he's loved and he's happy and healthy.] *I wish you only the best in your struggle to help abandoned animals. I grew up with Collies. I've adopted 13 and feel like it should be 113. Each of us has to do what we can with what we have. "We can't help them all, but we can help this one." Nothing will ever change that. I’m grateful for people like you and organizations such as PPR. Thank you for making a difference.* ★★★★★

Amazing and durable long lasting pet toys
We have a very well loved rescue pup named Atticus. Our sweet baby weighs in at 110lbs! For years we have gone through COUNTLESS chew toys and ropes. Our baby is gentle but loves to chew , play fetch and games of tug of war. Our fur baby gets very attached to his toys to the point of whimpering when one gets destroyed. Ive researched rugged, yet fun dog toys that would last. Upon my research I decided to give these Pacific pup toys a try. I couldn't pass up the large multi pack you get for such a affordable price. Also, 20% gets donated to Pacific pups rescue. I always make it a point to donate to rescue pups. Now I have both my dog happy and all for a good cause. These toys have ALL been played with and chewed on and have held up like no other. They are the perfect size for any size dog. I even ordered a pack for my twin sisters fur babies!!! You honestly cannot get a bettet value for such well made products AND for such an amazing cause. Thank you for making my dog VERY happy. I LOVE these dog toys. Atticus says "Thank You"!!

Some of the toughest $@#& Toys My Dog Has Ever Tried To Destroy
UPDATE FROM A ONE STAR REVIEW: These are some of the better toys we have ever had. But one of my dogs is extremely large, and very aggressive with his toys! He was eventually able to tear apart the dental toys after a few weeks - the giraffe is still good and has three of his legs. The carrot was great until he finally destroyed the top of it. I guess that one should expect dental toys to get destroyed over time. The frisbee is cute, but my dog just stares at me like I am an idiot when I throw it. These are really pretty good toys over all. I do love that they go to a good cause. We rescued our dogs and I like thinking that allowing them to play helps to rescue other dogs. That was why I bought these originally. But the first order I got a bag full of absolute garbage toys. I was pi--ed off and left a one star, charity or not it seemed like they sent me some dangerous plastic toys that fell apart quickly. That was when I learned that more than one person could be selling the same product and I bought from some dude who was selling a cheap knock off. They were actually ripping off the charity. I wish they could go to jail for that. The dog charity contacted me and sent me their genuine set of toys and these are MUCH better! I only wish they had some much bigger ropes for my Mastiff. These are for medium to medium/large dogs. Not for enormous dogs. if you have a dog under 100 lbs, these toys would be great. They are great for our smaller dog, but we really need some for our giant dog.

Returning Customer
This is our third order of the Pacific Pups Products. American Bull Terrier and German Shepard mix both go crazy for these rope toys. The giraffe, ball on blue rope, and red/white rope toys are huge hits. Both dogs are aggressive chewers so I expect them to chew through one toy in a single sitting if I don't take the toy away. I can say, a few of the rope toys from last purchase are still around and have survived being outdoors through winter months, rain, snow - which speaks to the quality of the product, in my opinion. In fact, the dogs just dug up the carrot that I didn't know still existed. Pacific Pups Products are the only rope toys we buy for our dogs as we believe in contributing to a good cause. Will continue to be a repeat customer for as long as these rope toys are available.
