Cute. Another A+ from Melissa & Doug!

Melissa & Doug products never cease to amaze me. I bought this for my 2 year old as a Christmas present with the extra personalized option. It is made of quality material, comes with a fire extinguisher and a megaphone (doesn't actually work) that doubles as a siren (requires batteries), a helmet and a badge that is removable. This is probably the only con: the badge is clipped onto the jacket and comes off frequently. He doesn't notice not having it, but I am sure there is a way to attach it better, perhaps a small piece of Velcro. The personalized name was the added bonus and I was surprised that it shipped in the same amount of time. I am going to look into buying different dress-up play gear like this for the future. It is definitely cute!

Fireman costume

This is the cutest fireman costume! It looks exactly like what was in the picture. My son wore it for Halloween and it fit him perfectly. He is a 3T for reference. He continues to play with the costume. The material is good quality. The horn actually makes a firetruck sound. The hat is a little large and even with the plastic insert to adjust it, it kept coming off. I decided to secure it inside with some hot glue, but otherwise, I have no real complaints. The jacket is thick enough to wear on cooler days. I like the attachment holder for the fire extinguisher. The jacket hits my son in his thighs. There is no part of the material that seems to bother or rub him. I would recommend this outfit for anyone that has children who love firemen!

Great roll play or costume. Good quality, Moms Pro and con review

My 2 and 3 yr old boys love it. We have had this for over 8 months and my children still like to play with it. It comes with the jacket that closes with Velcro, plastic badge, fire extinguisher that squirts water, bullhorn that makes a siren sound , and an adjustable helmet. Pro Great price for roll play or costume fire extinguisher squirts water bullhorn makes siren sounds durable for play nice quality fabric Belt attached to jacket with areas for bullhorn and fire extinguisher Jacket has true reflective fabric on it and "Fire Cheif" printed on the back true to size Con bullhorn is not a true bullhorn..only makes siren sounds bullhorn broke the first month from rough play The plastic inside the helmet to adjust it to size fell out the second day we had it. Worth a second, third purchase

My five year old loves this costume so much he wore it to a costume party, for his birthday party and for actual trick or treating. There was no talking him into a different outfit. With that said, the costume has taken a LOT of damage. It has run through the washer so many times and it still looks like new. Everyone complimented his "Fire Chief" outfit and he just beamed wearing it!

Wonderful play costume!

My 4 year old firefighter loves it! The name tag adds a special touch with room also for a small ID photo. I expected it to be paper but it's plastic like a credit card. The horn takes 2 triple A batteries and the sound is realistic like a fire siren but surprisingly not terribly loud. The extinguisher is light weight and has no sounds or anything which is fine. The jacket closes with velcro. It is light weight but not cheap feeling at all. The reflective material is functional and realistic. I do wish it was a little bigger, sleeves longer, as it now fits my 4 year old perfectly but my son is taller and comparison in size to a 5 or 6 year old. It's going to make a great Halloween costume paired with the firefighter rain boots I bought on Amazon and black pants.

high quality

Great fireman outfit. The outfit is made of high quality material and not just that cheap plastic I was use to play outfits or costume for kids being made of. The hat fits my 3 year old well. The bullhorn makes siren noises and there is a play fire extinguisher. My son love anything to do with firemen so he love this play out. It is a little big on him, but not too big that he can't wear it. I recommend this high quality dress up outfit.

Really great role play costume that doesn't break/tear easily.... And my son has put it through a lot!

My son LOVES this costume. He is average height and weight for a 3 year old. The jacket could fit a 5 year old, but I like that he has room to grow into it while still fitting him enough to play in it now. The accessories are durable and realistic and the jacket is excellent, heavy-duty quality. The reflector stripes actually do reflect, too, which is a fun component. The hat, which can take a real beating and still come out without a crack, sometimes falls off, but there is an adjustable part inside that helps once you get the right fit. My only issues is the velcro holders for the megaphone and fire extinguisher. The holder is two straps that velcro together, but it is very challenging for my son to maneuver the velcro and position the toys simultaneously to hang them there on his own. Overall, though, my son is VERY happy with his firefighter costume. It is absolutely worth spending a little more on this specific firefighter costume for the quality.

The firemen there were fantastic with him and he felt so cool

My son absolutely loves this! He is 4 1/2 now and has had a blast with this! We went to the Fire Department in our town to donate some outgrown coats and he wanted to make sure he had this on when we went! The firemen there were fantastic with him and he felt so cool :) It is super cute and well made! I love the personalized name on his jacket also!

Fantastic Quality

Worth the extra cost. Well stitched and made of good quality materials. Excellent attention to details. Sturdy accessories. My toddler is just moving to a 3T clothing size. This is not too big, but still allows for a few years of growth. I will order more costume/play sets from Melissa and Doug. Worthy of gift giving. Overall, quite pleased with this purchase.

Three year old tested & approved!

My three year old was thrilled when I told him his costume had arrived and we were both very excited to find this high quality jacket, hat, bullhorn, and extinguisher in the package. The coat is a thicker fabric with real reflective tape (a big plus since it will be his Halloween costume) that seems like it will hold up well for a while to come. The hat is also a thicker, hard plastic of good quality. The fire extinguisher is a good size and looks realistic though I wish you could squeeze the handle for the full effect. I haven't even had a chance to put batteries in the bullhorn yet but it is also a good size and seems like a quality product. He is a pretty average size three year old boy and the coat and hat both fit him well with room to grow into it without looking oversized. His only complaint is the hat is "too heavy" but he's used to a flimsy, plastic one he got at a party so that is relative. I don't usually write product reviews but this one really earned a shout out for being a quality product that was exactly what my son & I were hoping for!
