I've had SanDisk SSD in the past, and it has been a while that I had used it for my laptop. I have a laptop from 2013, that I use for daily stuff, but no gaming. It was acting sluggish and boot/reboot times were taking upwards of 10minutes, then logging in and opening firefox/chrome took aditional 2 -3 minutes. I wasn't sure if it was the computer itself. It was not infected with malware. I decided to try this out to see how it'll work out. Once I received, I cloned the disk to this SSD, took about 4 hours for 350GB of data plus additional partitions. Popped this baby in the laptop and bootup time was 10 seconds. That was fast, and the login to launching firefox/chrome took an extra second. Shutdown is astoundingly fast as well. I've always been impressed with SanDisk SD cards, as I use it for my Canon cameras as well, but the SSD for my laptop, it made it 100 times better.

Got this for my wife's computer as we bought her a prebuilt with an i5 and a GTX 1060, and it turned that $500 computer into something you'd think was $700-800. SSDs are an amazing upgrade and this is definitely a great buy to upgrade a computer's boot drive. I don't believe it came with any software, but I could be wrong as I planned to do a fresh install of Windows anyways (had no data on old drive yet since computer was new). This is one of the snappiest SATA SSDs I've tried and it was at a really good price when I bought it. My wife's computer takes 5 seconds to boot up and there's never any lag doing anything in Windows. We're even able to store a couple games on it since we keep her documents on her original 1TB drive as a secondary.

I've always used and preferred WD drives. I have WD drives that are more than 10 years old and still going strong. SanDisk is made by Western Digital, so I felt safe using this brand. I put this drive in my 5 year old laptop after my original hard drive started showing signs of failing. I have been wanting to try SSD for some time, so I finally pulled the trigger. This drive installed without issue. It sped up my old laptop a lot. Boot up is very fast. No noise, and not being so delicate as a platter type hard drive. I think I am going to be very happy with the upgrade to SSD. So far, love it. I am planning to go all SSD in my NAS unit also which now has those old 10 year old WD drives in it.

I bought two of these 1 TB SSD Ultra 3D SanDisk's for my wife's and my Sony Vaio SVF14N's. Since I needed a connector adapter to connect the new SSD's to the laptops to clone the hdd's and didn't want to wait for shipping I bought a Apricon - Date Transfer Cable and Software from Best Buy on special. I am now using one of the old hdd's with the data transfer cable as extended storage for my PS4. Once I cloned the hdd's for each computer I took apart each one and installed the new SSD in each one of our laptops. The difference is night and day in speed. The two old hdd's were 500 gigs and 5400 rpm, so they were already pretty slow but I was not aware of how much faster these SSD's would be even though I had read plenty of reviews. Reading it is one thing but seeing it is awesome! Windows 10 boots and shutsdown in a matter of a few seconds and files load very quickly. I highly recommend these SSD's as an upgrade to make your aging laptop perform as quickly as a newer laptop or faster then a new laptop with an hdd.

Made my son's potato of a laptop start acting fast. Went from taking minutes to load Windows and like 40 seconds to open a browser, to booting very fast and the browser seemingly to open instantly. This saved me having to replace the computer. The old hard drive was a 5400k rpm drive that had a read speed of 32 mb/sec, this SSD is registering as being 324 mb/sec.

I noticed a lot of people saying they had issues upgrading their older macs to SSD. I saw where this SanDisk would not link up at 3mb speeds the Nvidia controller was capable of. Happy to report that I'm getting the full 3mb speed link and had no issues with the drive. I had to restore from a time machine back up and that took 5 days via my standard usb back up drive to the new SSD. Dont recommend that. Im going to buy a second drive and use Clones for back ups. Should have ordered the cable with the drive.

This brought life back to an ailing MacBook Pro mid 2012. Upgraded the system to latest Sierra then cloned with Super Duper, Unmounted the old drive in Disk utility and shutdown to install the ssd. Unplugged the battery, took old drive out and put in the new ssd. Upon booting, a white screen was there for a while I thought something went wrong but then the chime rang and the apple logo showed for like 20 seconds and all was good. Googled the white screen and turns out I had to select the ssd drive in the startup disk, so I did and no more white screen, the mac now powers to chime and logo to desktop in 20 seconds!!! all applications and internet are fast and I couldn't be happier with my macbook.

I dont usually but Sandisk SSD drives, as I'm more of a Crucial and Samsung guy, but a family member requested a 1TB SSD drive that was "cheap in cost", so this one fit the bill nicely. The drive arrived quickly thanks to Prime, and installation took no more than any other SSD drive. The firmware was already up to the latest build, and I didnt get any errors when I scanned the drive using S.M.A.R.T. Once I got the drive installed, it was fairly easy to clone it using some 3rd party software, and Windows knows no different. Boot up time went from a slow 1 minute 39 seconds to a much quicker 34 seconds (cold boot to Desktop). Applications open much faster now and overall I'm happy with the drive. I dont know how long it will last, however, Sandisk makes decent thumb/flash drives, so hopefully this lasts a long time, too.

DOES IT ALL! Yeah this item or SSD is one of the best upgrades ever that you could do for your computer!. Actually i have done 2 of these, As i have 1 in my Lap Top, And now this one in my DELL Desktop Computer!. We'll to keep it short and sweet, I installed one in my Laptop to chack it out, And i was 'So Impressed' I decided to to the install to my Desktop Computer as well. Granted an earlier reviewer stated that this is one of the 'Best Upgrades' ever and i couldn't agree more. As these drives instantly recognized my program so installation of the Operating system went like a breeze, As the installation was a snap,. Now - I didn't - try to transfer or clone my disk like so many do, So I - cannot - comment on that as I read that some work and others dont. I just burned my data to blank DVDs, and then just copied and pasted from the DVDs to the New SSD Hard Drive and it worked like a charm with No Muss and No Fuss period!. So Kudos to San Disk for a really 'Fine Product!. And Kudos to AMAZON both for a Bargain price, An also for - Fast Delivery!. 'Truly This Kid Is A Satisfied Camper So Buy And Enhjoy!..... Excellent SSD by San Disk. This was an excellent choice in upgrade. I did the whole upgrade my self, you just have to have patience. It did take about a full day as I was learning how to do the whole upgrade. There is free software for cloning available on-line. The resulting upgraded was from a 1TB 5400 rpm HD in my (HP 15.5 envy slim quad "2016 model" intel i7 with a Nvidia video card Laptop) to this San Disk - 1 TB 3D SATA III SSD. The results were instant once I had it all correctly installed and set. It's like a new machine and its base index rating jumped from a number close to 5.8 up to a 7.1 base index, mind you the possible highest is 7.9. There are 5 numbers in determining the result, only one of the 5 to have the highest is the SSD I installed, the hard disk data transfer rate is now a 7.9 index. My laptops performance is just incredible as I do CAD and 3D CAD. It has even improved my browser...
