I like this waffle maker, interesting idea to have the water vapor spout at the top (rather than on the sides making everything messy). It takes a bit of trial an error to get perfect waffles, here's what I learned: - the batter needs to be thinner than recommended on waffle box. (e.g, with Krusteaz supreme they recommend for 4-5 waffles 1 1/3 cups of water, I used an extra 1/3 cup) - pour the batter into each of the four holes so that all four quadrants fill equally using the provided cup (if batter is thick enough so that you can't pour batter into each of the 4 holes, then the batter is too thick). This makes for good looking waffles without holes/incomplete quadrants. - pour a little less than the recommended volume in the table of the manual, 150 mL worked pretty well 185 mL was too much and the batter would overflow in the cap which requires extra cleaning between waffle pours (this one may take a bit of practice but always err on the low side and refill a little as the batter starts cooking - you'll see it coming up at the top trying to overflow in the cup). - provided cooking time 3-4 minutes seems correct - use a thin tip chopstick to lift the waffle off from the cooking plate along the front quadrant line. They come off very easily if you used oil when making the batter.

I like the ease of this waffle maker. I purchased it because my children had a tendency to "overfill" the waffle iron most of the time...making clean-up a chore! :-( With this product...I'm happy and the kids LOVE using it! The product heats up within a few minutes...you will see the green light when it has reached the proper temperature (there isn't an on/off switch or a heat temperature gauge). The "filling cone" is a bonus because when you aren't using it...it fits under the bottom of the waffle maker. Great design! Now, you can't misplace it! ;-D The inner design is unique...it sort of look like a whirlpool funnel. *NOTE: When you initially remove the waffle you will think that the waffle will not lay flat once it's plated...but, don't worry as soon as you lay it down the "cone-shaped" waffle will flatten out (like it's supposed to). I haven't timed how long it takes to cook, but it's about the same time as most standard Belgian waffle irons, I suppose. If you "over-fill" the waffle maker...you'll know because a" tiny" half-baked waffle will still be in the cone at the top. *TIP: Use the measuring cup that comes with the waffle maker to AVOID this (I didn't use one the first time out...I sort of eye-balled it). MY SUGGESTION: USE THE INCLUDED MEASURING CUP THAT"S WHY THEY INCLUDED ONE! :-D

So far it’s great! Bought it to use along side my Optavia healthy living plan to turn select fuelings into waffles. It’s fun, easy to use, clean, and store ... though I think I’ll be leaving it out on our counter with as much as I believe I’ll be using it.

Yes, it can have a pouring problem through the top as others have noted in some reviews. Mine clogged only once, but i suspect the differences in experiences here are related to the batter being used. Also, when it did clog, i simply opened it and poured it in just like any other waffle maker. So I think of the pour on top as just an extra benefit to a standard waffle maker that I use sometimes. Most importantly, my waffles came out perfectly. Evenly crispy on the outside and soft and chewy in the middle.

I love my Belgian Waffle Maker! I found I do have to water my batter down a bit in order to get the complete iron coverage, but watering down the batter also makes the waffle come out crispier, which I'm a fan of. It's also not that difficult to clear, so I use it more often than I would if it were a pain to clean. Downsides: You can't really make a variety of waffles that you might be able to in a normal waffle iron. It has to be plain waffle mix. This is due to having to pour the batter through a four square grid, so if you wanted to put blueberries in your waffle mix, it just won't work. Other than that, I'm a fan.

Wow! I finally found a waffle maker that makes crisp, large belgian waffles, yet stays clean and is a great price. I used it for the first time on friday morning, and the instructions that it came with made fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside waffles. This morning i made a waffle with my 3 year old, and he had a blast. and clean-up was a breeze. Now obviously this isnt a cast iron waffle maker, but for the price you're paying this is excellent!

This is genius! If you follow the instructions it is mess free. I make the regular waffle recipe, from scratch all the way to box mixes, per the instructions. Don't use sprays but brush on oil. Only fill it to the amount in the supplied filler cup. Cook for 5 min. Perfect everytime and cleanup is pretty much non existent. (you do have to clean the attachment you connect to the top to pour the batter through, but that is just a matter of running it under water.) The only thing I would warn about is when you get it, be aware that the spout (attachment for the top) is attached to the bottom where it is stored. (I almost sent it back because I could not find it on opening the box). It tells you in the instructions where it is located, but how many of us actually read the instructions? :)

Despite what everyone says I love this! Not once in my life have I made waffles and I honestly prefer them over pancakes. I seen multiple reviews saying this product was crap and that things are under cooked and so on and so on. Well I call bullshit, it worked perfectly for me given the fact I had no idea wtf I was doing. As I always say, be smarter than your average dummy 😊

Great waffle maker! I have made waffles for the very first time and can only say it works great. No mess at all. I brushed the waffle plates with vegetable oil before I filled in the mix and the waffle came out perfectly without getting stuck. The waffle maker was totally clean and ready for the next waffle. The waffle mix I made was a little thick and I had to make it a little thinner to pour it into the spout. I only made one waffle and it didn't come out totally perfect. It had a few places where the dough didn't reach the surface of the plates and maybe my dough was still too thick. Next time I will adjust and I am sure it will come out perfect. Overall I am totally happy with my purchase the only thing I would have liked better if the plates would come out to clean. Great buy!

I brushed on some olive oil before the first pour, but not between pours. I had no issues with separation from the cooking surface. I adjusted the water content of the batter until it relatively filled the entire cooking area. Setting a timer for cooking time is very important. The pour sprue disconnected from the waffle perfectly every time. The pour cup handle could be a little longer. It’s difficult to switch hands when it’s hot. I ended up ignoring the enclosed pour cup and poured directly from the mixing bowl. Removing the uncooked batter from the pour funnel is a bit messy, but comes out with a little pushing. We lost about a waffle’s worth of batter in the pour funnel, so plan accordingly.
