Perfect for sound proofing and air tightening the gap between the bottom of the front door and the tile floor, thereby cutting down on the noise and pot smoke intruding from the jackasses in the condo across the hall.

Amazing product. I laid a double width of this across the threshold of my patio door (because) I had a gap where air could escape and bugs could come in. It went down super easy, but beware, put it down straight the first time. Once it's down, it ain't going nowhere. IN FACT, we had a family bbq last weekend - 113 people (not a typo) and I thought for sure the job would be ruined. With all those wet kids and grownups in and out that door all day long, but the next morning, I was shocked to see it was still in perfect condition. I could not be more pleased. ALSO, you get a LOT of product, but it is kind of thin and I don't know if they have it in other sizes. but for what I used it for, it was perfect.

Applied in the door frame to the front door of my apartment primarily to help reduce the sound of loud music and barking dogs to the neighbors in my apartment. After an easy application with the strong adhesive backing, the difference in the noise heard from outside the door were significantly reduced. Only problem I found is the vast amount of effort it takes to open and close the door now. Would recommend something thinner than the 1/4 inch i used, maybe even 1/8.

I bought this to put around the perimeter of my new apartment front door. It worked very well! I cleaned the area where I wanted to attach it and then I cut it to size and attached it around the entire perimeter of my front door. This material is very dense and blocks the sound very well. The adhesive on the material is very good as well, sticks well. This is important to me because I my apartment is right across from the stairwell and the elevator which bring a lot of foot traffic and noise! I bought the 1/2" x 1/8" x 50' roll and I still have 2 entire rolls left after applying it to the perimeter of the front door. The front door is slightly harder to close, I have to give it an extra push when closing but it is not a big deal to be honest and it's well worth the sound dampening. Great product!

I just noticed a cold draft coming in from the door between my porch and kitchen. Ordered the 1/2 inch wide, 1/8 inch thick, 50 ft (perfect fit)...it arrived in 2 days! Super easy, works and looks great! The door is a little more snug to close and needs an extra push, but that's the way it's supposed to be. I have extra weather stripping for future door projects if needed.

I bought this because my AT&T U-verse receivers were overheating because they were stacked with other components and there was too little air space. The 12" x 1/2" sized worked perfectly to space out the components. Previously I put various plastic items between them, but when I would push the ON button the receiver would slide and I'd have to re-center everything. These stick to one component and the foam has a high coefficient of friction so everything stays in place. Perhaps the manufacturer could sell 24" of this to every component manufacturer, since they seldom have tall enough feet to space them properly. The rolls also come in a handy, resealable plastic bag. Prior to taking the photos, the Sony Blu-Ray players were almost completely blocking the top air vents of the U-verse receivers.

Measure twice and cut first. Ordered the wrong size so I can't use it. However it stuck like a dream on some permanently caked on dust! Removed nicely with some effort. Material doesn't compress at all so make sure you order the right thickness.

UPDATED Jan 9th 2019: I just purchased the thicker foam seal and put it around the door frame on the outside of the door and it has sealed the gaps nicely. The thin seals I previously bought I had in the door jam and opening and closing the door pulled the seal strip off. Now I don’t feel cold air from the outside coming in around the door. OLD REVIEW: I knew this might make the door harder to close, but I had a lot of gaps where the cold air was coming in and this helped close off those gaps. So I am happy with product. The door does close with a tight seal and locks properly, But again the only knock is that it makes the door a little harder to close and open because I had to use so much to fill the gaps. But I'm giving it a 5 star because it's doing the job I needed it to do. My only other option and next set is buying a new door.

I used this on one of the windows in my apartment that is warped causing a large drafty gap that whistles in the wind! Today was windy and you can hear the difference as soon as the tape is in place (turn your volume way up).

The product is exactly as described. It was delivered in good shape, applied easily, and bonded to it's intended surface (wood) very nicely. I bought this foam tape to dust proof my detolf display case. It fits nicely in the gaps around the glass door. This is a popular technique for detolf/figure collectors. This foam tape works great and looks nice in the detolf. Measure, over cut, then trim before laying the last couple inches. Cuts easily.
