I needed a new grade book for this semester and ordered the Elan class record book. The book is great -- easy to use, plenty of room, and the layout is really good for use in semester-long classes. The company sent the book quickly, it was well-packaged and I purchased it at a great price -- what more can you ask for? I will buy my next book here again and will most likely order the same edition (hope they keep offering it for a long time). It really is a good buy and a great book!

Love this grade book so much, this is my second time ordering it! It is large enough to do 2 quarters per book! So, I save on two books per year!!!! It has enough room for large classes, and plenty of space for after school clubs as well. Love this line of products, the lesson plan book is phenomenal for block scheduling too.

This is great, just started teaching a very large class and this helps. I do wish that it came 3 hole punched, or if that could be an option when purchasing. Good product.

After reading the reviews and looking at the pictures, I couldn't decide between the King Record and R1010 9 or 10 week record book, so I purchased both. I liked the look of R1010 better, but without the dimensions listed and all the talk of tiny squares I wasn't sure. Now that they've arrived, I still prefer the look of the R1010. The item looks exactly as pictured. The R1010 has a single wrap-around cover, so there's no chance for it to separate. The boxes are 3/16" x 3/16". That 1/16 is significant. The assignment boxes are 13/16 x 3/16. The Students boxes are a little over 1.5 x 3/16. The Month/Dates section has individual boxes 2/16 x 3/16. There are perforations on the Students column. If you use letter grades or any other single-digit grade/ coding system and you don't have any fine motor skill issues this one could work for you. It you write big, this probably isn't the book for you. It might work if you use 2 boxes per student and write sideways, but you'd really be better off with the King Record. I'll have to see how they hold up, but as of right now I think, at a minimum, I've found my preferred record book company.

The lines are not too cramped to write in clearly as so many other grade book lines are. I also like the fact that every two lines are the same color. I give each of my students two lines so this makes it much easier. Very good quality, too.

My husband has used this for recording keeping at a middle school for years. When the whole school computer went down, he was the only one who had his grades in on time. It is great back up and great for anyone who likes to use a book for record keeping. Sometimes the traditional ways are just better !

Super fast shipping....great customer service. I buy this same book every year. I love the burgundy color! I stuff so much student work into each class section to take home for grading. The book stands up to the hundreds of extra sheets stuffed into it without tearing up.

I love that this grade book has 50 spaces, as a subject specific teacher, it holds all 3 of my classes beautifully. It also helps me stay on top of my grades. I will definitely be buying another when this book is filled.

I teach at a local college and I've been looking for a place to keep all the grades and their attendance. This book is AWESOME. I love that I can fold the page and use it for something else. It lets me write their names only once which is great when you have over 30 students per semester! I love it.

Since my school district has very unreliable software for keeping digital grades, I decided to put time back in my hands by going old school and purchasing this lovely gradebook. The burgundy color is professional and looks nice on my desk during the day or to carry to parent conferences and IEP meetings. The cover is also tough, and the gradebook is slim enough to carry around to students' desks when checking journals or keeping track of participation in class activities. The inside of the gradebook is green with enough space to keep 10 weeks worth of grades for 40 weeks. There is also space to keep running averages. I only have to enter students' names once, as there is a perforated edge. Just make sure you leave enough pages behind each class so you have enough for each class for each grading period. I really like the section at the front of the gradebook for data on the run, and there's a section for seating charts. Each page has room for 50 students. I like to use a fine tip pen, and this works well. I imagine if someone wrote larger than I, then the size of the boxes could be a issue, but the boxes are large enough for a mechanical pencil, well sharpened pencil, or fine tip pen. This gradebook has really simplified things and is well worth the price. I highly recommend.
