Bought to prevent blue light retina damage

Less than a week ago I watched a 5 minute video on my IPhone. When the video ended, I immediately saw I had lost a large crescent shaped area of vision. Literally I had a blind spot, a crescent shaped wedge of black in the upper left area of my field of vision in my right eye. Pain set in a few hours later. I looked online and found a number of articles stating the dangers of blue rays emitted from both smartphone and computer screens. These rays can cause damage to the retina, sometimes permanent. The articles had differing opinions of the dangers, but said that those most affected were the very young and older people (like me). It was recommended that filters for your phone and computer screens be used to reduce exposure to these very harmful blue light rays (in the 400~440 wavelength). Not only can these screen filters protect your eyes against sudden damage simply from using your phone and computer, but can also prevent long term problems like increased risk of developing macular degeneration, eye strain and eye fatigue. Plus you get more restful sleep. I was lucky--my vision was restored within 48 hours and the pain is gone as well. (I took more eye health supplements and slept more to rest my eyes. I honestly don't know if doing this helped, but my vision is back, and without medical intervention.) I ordered these blue light blocking clip on lenses for my prescription glasses. Game changer!!

I was sceptical to try these but decided to buy one pair. I use plastic reading glasses and have them all over the house. I enjoy playing sudoku on my iPad at night but found I wasn't able to sleep at night. My eyes were tired, but not my mind. The first pair I bought I used in my bedroom. The clarity I found with these were amazing. Unlike some, I found they fit perfectly on my plastic glasses and I was not bothered by the center part. I was so impressed that I bought two more pairs. One pair is attached to my reading glasses in the living room for reading my kindle. I stuck the other pair in my purse. My eyes are so much less tired and strained and I fall asleep quicker. I love these glasses so much!

Bought another brand earlier, but these are the best.

Bought another brand earlier, but these are the best and at half the price. My eyes definitely grow far less tired with these (no doubt) and the color distortion is very minimal. Other brand was too "orange" and discolored screens, green looked yellow, etc. They also darkened too much, which is the last thing I needed with macular degeneration. I was concerned that these weren't "orange enough" and wouldn't work well. I did some research and not ALL blue light is harmful. These block only the wavelengths that are bad for you. Nice touch with these is to include a tiny eyeglass screwdriver to tighten the screws holding the lens to the nose piece. Also the micro-fiber cloth for cleaning. These were too large so I trimmed them down on a belt sander (a disk sander would also work). They worked just fine without being trimmed, but I did it strictly for cosmetic reasons - they looked oversized and dorky. I also had to slightly re-bend the nose clips (with my fingers) to fit over my eyeglass bridge properly. They were super easy to bend and it took very little effort.

They work

I got these today and had already been on the computer for a few hours and my eyes were seriously feeling strained. I put these on and noticed almost immediately that I wasn't having near the difficulty looking at the screen. It is now a few hours later and my eyes do not feel anywhere near as strained as they were earlier. Love these glasses and won't ever use the computer without them again.

Wish I would have purchased sooner......

After reading about Blue Light Blocking lens for a long time from several reputable sources/magazines, etc. I finally decided it give it a try. I tried looking locally, but Wal-Mart didn't sell them with their reading glasses, etc. and the in store VisionWorks - could only make them by prescription only. I wanted clip ons since my reading glasses and TV watching glasses are different strengths - and always changing. So, I finally did an online search. I am extremely happy with the GAMEKING Ultra Lightweight. I noticed a difference immediately on eye strain and a difference (for the good) shows up on my Fitbit. If two weeks can be considered a trend, I've added approximately 1/2 hour per night to my time asleep. I've experienced no problems whatsoever with the lens. I wish I would have made the decision sooner.

Not cheap but good quality

They are not cheap, and they don't block 100 percent. However that is just fine. When I want 100 I use the full safety glasses type that fit over my glasses. But I bought these for gaming. I don't want full Amber for that, and these cut down the blue glare to where I feel like my eyes aren't really being hurt. They fit really well over my metal frame glasses (I am 7.5 with ultra high index lenses) and they have great coverage and the plastic quality is very high. One thing to note however is that these do NOT flip up. For me that is perfect because the spring loaded mechanism works just how I want it to but some people may want flip up. All in all the construction quality is very high, lens quality is very high, and while it is more than three times the cost of my 100 percent goggles I recognize that this is also much more intricate product. ETA: Just wanted to say that customer support is quite good. I had a small issue, and the distributor/seller immediately took care of it. Very responsive and helpful.

A sight for sore eyes!

I had to buy a second pair because I really needed one at home and one at work. Only problem is that I forget I'm wearing them and end up taking the work pair home. I tried some that have the hinge and swing up. I found them to be too heavy and would pull the glasses off my nose. Plus I found that I never need or want to swing them up. I really do feel that my eyes are much less strained after a day of working in front of a computer screen. Only thing to point out: These are anti-glare. So are my glasses. Do not wear these driving at night. I swear the headlights get caught bouncing between the two and I get these noticeable blue streaks. So I bough a pair specifically for night driving that are not anti-glare.

Best Blue light Blocking glasses I have ever tried!

I'm a gamer, a researcher and I live in front of a monitor, tablet or phone for up to 12hrs or more a day. I was having issues with headaches and my son recommended I find Blue light blocking glasses. Since I have to wear prescription glasses, GameKings clip on glasses was the best fit for me. Great Glasses!!

I love my new glasses! A few weeks ago, my wife mentioned that she "didn't know how I could stare at a computer screen all day long with out getting headaches". I kind of scoffed at the idea at the time, but later I started feeling the effects in the early afternoon. Not headaches exactly, maybe "pre-headaches"?. Weird feelings anyway. So I started researching "Blue Light", and realized I needed to do something right away! I am elderly, and already fighting macular degeneration, so it was imperative that I do something. After checking all kinds of products, and most importantly, their reviews, I settled on your glasses. They have made all the difference!. As a graphic designer, fine artist, 3d photo realistic renderer and animator, and a musician, I pretty much spend my every waking minuet staring at a computer screen. Your glasses have made a big difference! They are obviously well made as well! ( As an added bonus, they perfectly match my current frames, which are "copper/bronze" colored! )

Good product and excellent services

Good product and excellent services. Initially I bought the regular type, but it was too heavy to me and blocked part of my vision by the big clip. Seller (Vicky) let me return them and suggested me to buy the ultra light one ( 2 pairs). They fit perfectly over my prescription eye glasses, and really help my strain eyes from watching computer all day long.
