This burner really does a great job. Used this with a 60 qt pot and had another one on a different burner for a low country boil. This burner outperformed the other one and was not even halfway on. Also had a lot of comments about how sturdy it was with 9 gallons of water and 20 lbs of food in it. It does use a lot of propane when turned up. Also used this same burner and 60 qt pot to fry wings for the Super Bowl. It has enough power to get the temp back up after dumping a bunch of wings in. Highly recommended.

Sounds like a blow torch cranked up and ready to get after it. During periods of darkness, crank up the heat and watch it burn like the afterburners on a fighter jet. Tons of ports bring the heat to your pot and get it rolling like bullfrogs in the shallows munching on baby tadpoles. The braided hose is high quality, the red on/off knob seems fragile. Heavy unit.

While this burner is a little pricy compared to some its totally worth the money. Really well built with a heavy duty frame and the large burner is great!

I had a decade old turkey fryer kick the bucket so I had to replace it with a new model. I picked up a sweet model from Lowe's just in time for Thanksgiving. With all of the restrictions and safety measures on it, it barely got up to temperature and took over an hour longer to cook than in my previous experience. Back it went to the store! I then was on the hunt for the perfect fryer in preparation for Christmas dinner. This led me to this fryer and boy, oh boy, it did NOT disappoint! This thing looks intimidating and the burner size is massive. It took only 15 minutes for my oil to get up to 400-degrees. I lowered the flame, slowly placed the turkey in the hot oil which dropped the temp to 300-degrees, and then cranked the flame back up. The air adjustment allowed me to get the perfect blue flame with yellow tips for maximum heat output. The temp rose back up to the 350-degrees to continue cooking the bird and required minimal adjustments to maintain it for the duration of the cook. If you're on the fence for this as a turkey fryer, yes, it may be slightly overkill. But I'd rather have to adjust DOWN the temp/flame rather than have to chase the temp UP in hopes of avoiding ruining family dinners. Don't hesitate - buy this item!

Works great with my Winco 16 inch wok. Plenty of heat when you need it. I also use it with the lodge 17 inch skillet.

I purchased the burner for brewing. It brings my 10 gallon kettle up to a boil with ease. I’m sure it will do the same for even larger kettles. The construction is very solid and sturdy. Read a couple of other reviews about the burning paint issue, but I didn’t notice any real issues with it. I started by heating up a batch of plain water before I even started the brewing process to allow the paint to burn off. Good idea in dialing in your equipment and coming up with your boil-off. I wouldn’t hesitate making the purchase again.

Built very well, not like some less expensive, but less sturdy models. It was not in fact “expensive,” but does cost a bit more than some other models. It was easy to assemble; you basically place one air intake and screw in a nozzle; that’s it. It worked perfectly with almost no tweaking required, and heated quickly and evenly. I was very pleased with this burner, and take it from me, don’t scrimp on an item you need to support 5 or 6 gallons of boiling oil. ;)

This thing was awesome! I fry turkeys 2 or 3 times a year. I had a different burner for about 8 years, and it worked, but I always had trouble keeping the oil up at temperature. Most of the time I'd leave the old burner turned up full blast, burning through a LOT of propane with mediocre results. I think all the little holes on this burner make it significantly more efficient at burning the propane. It got my oil up to temperature in about half the time without turning it on all the way. Once I put the turkey in and got it back up to temperature, I had to turn the burner down to it's absolute minimum to avoid overheating the oil. I started cooking with an almost empty propane bottle, fully expecting to have to switch to my full one before I was finished (from my past experience with the old burner). However, this burner puts out so much heat with so little gas that I still have propane in the old bottle. The only con I'd say is having to be a lot more careful about not overheating whatever you're cooking, more so than a smaller burner anyway.

We purchased this burner for a Low Country Boil, and it was awesome! The size is perfect for a 62 quart steel pot. The unit was very well regulated and heated up the water quickly for the food we were cooking. Everybody kept asking where we purchased it because it was very impressive. It's well build, and sturdy for large pots. Good decision to buy this one.

I did not realize how large this thing was until it arrived (cue inappropriate "that's what she/he said" joke) here. I made a batch of all grain and I had 7 gallons of water heated in no time, with the regulator less than 1/4 on. Product is STURDY. Couple that with heavy iron legs, a 20 psi regulator, and a decent fuel consumption. I pre-heated my cooler, and heated up some clean up water as well, used less than a 3rd of a tank. NOTE: It IS worth mentioning that the red regulator knob you see in the picture, feels rather flimsy when adjusting the flame, It turns VERY lightly, and it won't take much of a bump to turn it accidentally. Didn't dislike that enough to drop the rating though. Still a good solid product and a must for home brewers stepping up their games, or folks that want to deep fry that gobbler.
