The Perfect Super Nintendo Experience!
Let me start off by saying that I purchased this on day one through Amazon’s Treasure Truck. The SNES Classic Edition provides the perfect Super Nintendo experience by packing in 21 games and “TWO” authentic SNES Controllers. Games can be saved, paused, and it even includes a rewind feature that lets you undo your mistakes. The bad thing I would say is that there is no way to back out into the game selection menu without hitting the reset button. The bottom line, I highly recommend this retro console as it’s truly amazing and a great collectors item.

My kids love this gaming system
My kids love this gaming system. They are 6 and 2 years of age. My two year old can do very little on it and doesn't understand the point but he gets excited and has fun pushing the buttons. My six year old girl is enjoying it a lot and can play for hours. I feel like these game systems are much better for hand and eye coordination than a tablet ever will be. It came in the right box and is the right gaming system. I would definitely recommend this system to my friends with kids.

You can rewind!
The super nes classic is everything you love and remember just in a smaller package. The controllers are sturdy and same size as the originals so there's no concern of them being miniaturized like the console. The unit itself is nice and small, it's compact enough to fit just about anywhere. It has one power button and one reset button. The reset button allows you to return back to the main menu where you can either select another game or use the my favorite feature rewind. You can actually rewind 10 sec or so and restart progress. I cannot tell you how handy this is in some tough situations. I consider myself fairy good a video games but there has been numerous times I've made a simple mistake or died on a tough boss (moldorm-legend of Zelda) and was able to back track my mistake with the flip of a switch. I don't have too many issues with this system, it's a great purchase. Maybe in the future they can make longer cords for the controllers but all in all it's fantastic. You will love spending hours replaying all of your favorites :)

Only Subjective Complaints
When I got this for my birthday, I thought it was a very nice gift. (And not too expensive either.) Ever since Nintendo came out with their NES, they have had an effective method of holding onto the market for decades now. Sure they had their one setback with the Wii U. But they have more than recovered since then. In the late 80s to early 90s, there was the 16 bit war between the SEGA GENESIS and the SUPER NINTENDO. In the form of flashback devices the war has started again. Once again, Nintendo prevails. This system has 21 games in it. (Well, 22 if you count "Street Fighter" II twice since it includes both 'Champion Edition' and 'Hyper Fighting.') True the SEGA GENESIS Flashback has 80. But 40 of those games aren't even SEGA games. 40 of those games are TERRIBLE crapware games. PROS (1) The price is right. (2) It come with 2 controllers. (3) While it only has 22 games in it vs the 40 games of the SEGA GENESIS flashback, the 22 games are really good highlight picks. (4) There is a 'save progress' feature. So you can finish long games such as "Super Mario World" in segments even if you only play a few minutes a day. (5) There is a rewind feature. So that means if you mess up, you can rewind and rectify the error. (6) It is small and easy to find a place for. (7) Many of the games will look sharper than they did back in the days of the original SUPER NES. Very pleasant surprise! (8) It connects HDMI. (9) Minor, but worth mentioning. You have an option on how you want to play these games. You can make the screen look artificially old, you can accept standard play, or you can make it pixel perfect. CONS (1) My only con here is somewhat subjective. I would have considered this device PERFECT if it had included "Killer Instinct" (or a cartridge slot like the SEGA GENESIS Flashback). But if you have these original SNES cartridges you want to play again, it's easy enough to get a SUPER NES device for $50. SIDE NOTE: Not really a con, but worth mentioning. The screen option allows you to fill in the side bars with different scenery. Besides being pointless, I DO NOT recommend this. Besides it being pointless, it distracts you from what you're trying to do in the game. As if it's magic, you will find yourself losing a life where you never would have before. FINAL ANALYSIS I really do recommend this device. It's fun and nostalgic. You really are getting a lot for your money. And it combines classic games with the modern convenience of saving progress and rewinding. And you have the option of if you want to play with an artificially old look, a normal look, or pixel perfect look. Buy and enjoy. FINAL NOTE: When it came down to deciding what to buy back in the 16 bit war era, I chose SUPER NINTENDO because it came with SUPER MARIO WORLD and STAR FOX. And they were smart enough to include these 2 games in it.

If you never want to see your husband or kids again, go for it!
Warning: product may entertain husband and children for hours, leaving you with previously unprecedented time to yourself. If you’re considering going back to school, starting a business, or just need some peace and quiet (in every room but the one where this is set up), this is the perfect product to make sure you will not be bothered in your endeavors or lack thereof. Negative side effects may include but are not limited to: your adult-ish husband pacing by the door and checking your amazon incessantly for days in anticipation of the console’s arrival, said adult giggling like a child upon product delivery, and hysterical whining by children and adults alike when you finally pull the power cord.

Love it!
I love this little system! So much fun in with two players or one. No problems with mine and it is a real Nintendo product.

I love this little console!
Being a child of the 90's, I was excited to hear that a mini Super Nintendo was being released, following the success of the mini NES. First off, the console itself is small, almost 40 smaller than the original. It looks exactly like the one I had in the 7th grade. It comes with two controllers, so already, it is an improvement over the NES. It comes with a large assortment of games, but the selling point for me was to play the Star Fox game that wasn't released in the states. There are a few games that I wish were in it (Actraiser, Chrono Trigger, Final Fight. and some others), and a few that weren't (Both Kirby games, and Yoshi's Island). It would be nice if Nintendo allowed users to plug their console via usb to their laptop/desktop, go to Nintendo's official SNES classic website, and let you delete or add games. This could all be done for a small fee of like $5 or something like that per every 3-4 games. I think it would drive the replay-ability. The console itself hooks up via HDMI, and like the NES, it offers the player to save anywhere. I love the fact that I can relive my youth again. I just hope that Nintendo somehow magically reads my review, and thinks about the add/delete for a fee feature for the N64/Wii/Wii U classic... and Nintendo DS/3DS classics whenever they're released.

I hate this thing because it's going to sucker me into playing FFVI again. Buy it for your enemies. Five Stars.
It took me a while to figure out how the suspend points (basically a new way of saving your current game state APART from whatever save game system the original cartridge would have had, extremely useful as an adult who may have to go and take a phone call instead of waiting for an in-game save point) work. It seems like you actually get four of them PER GAME, not four total, which is extremely useful. Also, it runs off of USB power. So I've got the whole rig running out of the controller port on my PS3, thus creating the Human Centipede of Game Consoles.

SNES Super Nintendo Entertainment System Tiny Small well built and terrific
About 20 years ago I sold my SNES collection. The system wouldn't last forever. Dunno what can break this thing. HDMI, bright colors, great games, easy set up. Started Zelda Link to the Past and was reminded of the pleasure I experienced about 27 years ago. I have a Gamecube with more complex visuals that do NOT stand up to these simpler ones that look terrific on a 39" LED TV. The controls and gameplay are an absolute pleasure. One warning: the controller length is short. I have mine plugged into a 39" LED 1080p Vizio used as a computer monitor so I need no extensions. You may have to build into the price any extension necessary. I will be checking wireless options for use in other room. I think the cable is about 4 feet long. But for nostalgia fans and those who have not experienced the fun of these amazing games? Do not wait. Buy it.

Small Wonder
Amazing games. Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy 6, Secret of Mana, they all scratch that RPG itch. I paid 98 bucks for this thing and I probably couldn't find all those games together at a hobby shop for that price. It comes with two controllers so that's a plus. One downside for some might be that it only comes with a USB power cable, so if you have an old TV without a USB port, you'd have to purchase a separatw adapter to plug it into the wall. Personally, I like the power cable plugging directly into the TV because it's one less outlet I have to clog up. I also like to camp so after everyone has gone to bed, I only need a single outlet extension cord to jump into some Super Metroid. It's smaller than you expect, too, and that's a fun visual novelty. Finally, it has up to 4 save state slots so you can save your progress in, say, Mega Man X without having to use the game's convoluted password system. More than worth my money.
