I really like this bags. They are very easy to open and pour milk in and out of the bag. I think the other reviews about the measurements being wrong are because of not opening and stretching them correctly. I know this becoz I did not open the base correctly and my 4 0z in the bottle came upto 6oz in the bag and was very bummed. then the next time I opened the base first, made sure the bag is standing correctly and then held the bag and poured the milk, TaDaaa.. perfect measurement. I haven't used any other bags, so cannot compare against any others but I am satisfied with the product and would buy again.

I am a big fan of these bags and I'll summarize why: 1) no tearing! I've used another popular brand of storage bags for several months until I started getting bags that had ripped while in the freezer. I don't beat up my bags or anything, but just through normal shuffling of things in the freezer the bags I had split at the bottom and I had leaks in my fridge when thawing out milk. This was tragic as it resulted in me losing several ounces of hard-earned milk!! The Medela bags are designed differently and the problems I was having with the old bags is impossible with the Medela bags due to the design (the bottom of the bag). So I'm happy. No tears or splitting bags here yet. 2) I think the plastic is more durable. It's kind of a harder or more dense feeling plastic that's not prone to gouging or getting rips in them like the softer bags I had been using. The bag is still flexible enough to allow for easy storage and filling. 3) very secure zipper. Not that I had problems with the other bags, its just that the Medela bags have a very leak tight zipper too. 4) Easy to work with- despite some reviews, these are no more difficult to work with than other brands of bags I've used. The plastic is a little different, seems more dense, and feels different in your had compared to some of the other brands but I think this makes them more durable and less susceptible to ripping or getting holes in them while in a freezer. I have a french door fridge so my freezer is a big drawer at the bottom and things get piled on top of each other. I don't want a pizza box corner digging into my milk bag but if the plastic is durable enough, that is not a problem.

Love these. Medela rocks and I’m so happy my pump was covered through my insurance. This is the best price I found on the bags. I don’t even pump into the bottles anymore. I just fit the bag around the membrane and pump straight into the bag. They fit well in the freezer and to thaw them I just run them under hot water for a few minutes. I haven’t had any issues with bags tearing/leaking/etc. I will definitely be buying more.

Love these bags! I’m only pumping this time around (breastfeeding my first son was a disaster!) and these bags are a great. They accommodate up to 6 oz of breast milk. You don’t want to put more in or else you run the risk of them cracking or expanding too much when you freeze them. They freeze flat allowing you to store them better in the freezer. They stand upright during the thawing process which is helpful in a packed fridge! Easy to pour once the milk has thawed. Will definitely be ordering these again!

I have purchased several breastmilk storage bags from Medela to Avent to Lansinoh to NUK. I found that I really like Medela bags the best follows by Lansinoh. I remember when I was initially was shopping breastmilk storage bags, I wanted to see pictures of how the bags look when they held unfrozen milk and how they look when frozen, so I've provided a picture to compare several brands. I found that Medela bags are superior to the rest, the quality of the bag is high quality and none of the other brands (lansinoh, NUK, or Avent) can compare. As you can see in my picture, it stands the best though it does not lay the flattest for storage. Initially storing the milk in a freezer was huge concern to me on how flat the bag got but this it not too much of a concern anymore as I had to purchase a deep freeze just to store breast milk (thanks to the help of Mother's milk tea, Blessed Thristle and Fenugreek supplements when my supplied went low on few occassions because my pump malfunctioned and stopped working). I find that Medela bags are the easiest to pour out, (I initially would pump at work and pour into bags and then when I went home would pour it from the bags to bottles to store in the fridge for the near-future feedings) because of the sturdiness of the bag, I had more control and it was not flimsy or bent when and where I did not want it to. I was able to shape the top of the bag to make pouring the milk out easier. I do not recommend pumping directly into the bags. I've attempted to do this on several occasions and was very frustrated with the process, I just decided to use bottles instead. I tried this method because I felt it was tedious to pump in the bottle and then pour it in the bag to go home and pour it out into another bottle for future feedings. However, the process was too cumbersome for me and now I simple just pump in a bottle which I refrigerate until I leave work and then pour it into my baby's feeding bottles (as you can see I have bottles I use just for pumping different from his feeding bottles though I could use these bottles for feeding as well, I'm just limited to slender or shorter larger bottles like the Medela 8oz or Gerber tall bottles I use Medela caps on and didn't want to buy more). Overall, these are my absolute favorite breastmilk storage bags though I do wish they laid flatter but then again I tend to store 6-8 oz in a bag (yes, I know I shouldn't go over 6oz but I do). I highly recommend them over the others with the lansinoh as my second choice. As you can see in the images which are all holding 6 oz of unfrozen milk, both the Medela and lansinoh sits upright well while the lansinoh does lay flatter than the Medela bags.

Oh what can I say about the most reliable milk storage bags on the market? Do I praise this product for never once tipping over? Or do I tout its ability to make a long journey? I guess I could tell you that it freezes and defrosts like a champ! These bags are undoubtedly the heavyweight champions of milk storage. Even when I overfill them, they do not disappointed. Their design is so sturdy they can stand up straight and will stay upright with even just one ounce of milk. They thaw easily under running hot water and won’t bust open on you if you decide to slip a bag of milk into your diaper bag. What more can a girl ask for? Yes, it’s a lot of plastic (invest in glass bottles if you’re really concerned) and you can get cheaper brands. I’ve tried a cheaper one. This is worth every cent. Buy it! Buy two!

So I've bought the pump and save ones and still have the adapter... I know they're more money but people! All you really need it a pair of scissors..snip a little slit where the pump and save had their space (make sure it's ABOVE the zip line) and you can use these THE EXACT SAME WAY for way cheaper! If you've got the adapter(have to buy the pump and save at least once to get them) this works like a charm. Plus I like the way these bags feel, softer, more than the pump n save ones.

My favorite! Strong seal and strong plastic. Great when thawing out stored milk because the plastic isn’t as cheap and flimsy as others.

I honestly like these bags. I don’t need a spout to pour into them. I just open it and I’m able to pour from the bottle into the bag while holding a squirming baby. I don’t use the measurements on the bag at all because it’s crazy inaccurate and if I depended on it, I would take a star or two away from the review. I use the measurements of milk from the bottle and write it on the bag.

I love these bags! I didn’t realize they had changed the product, but I LOVE them! They’re huge, the zip seal is much sturdier than the old bags, which is nice because less stress about losing precious milk! My only complaint is for some reason you have to rip the top off before pouring the milk in, and they no longer have the slots so you can pump straight into the bag. 10/10 would still recommend though!
