I works great!
I have a really hard time with my succulents staying to wet here in Alabama,I have changed soil so many times adding stuff to it to help it dry faster cause I do not want my flowers to die,now I do not have to worry about it,I have been using my Alotpower meter for over a week now and it reads the wetness or dryness great and in between. I did not believe in these so much so I never got one,now I don't know how I did with out my Alotpower soil meter. I would have had a lot more plants if I would have bought it sooner. Thank you this meter does exactly what it is suppose to do and the meter prong os long enough for all my pots,I was worried about that as well,no more worries! I would buy again from this company and recommend to everyone growing anything and need to know if the soil is wet enough or dry enough.

I highly recommend them to anyone who is watering containerized plants
I'm a professional interior plant leasing company for almost 40 years and I use these meters every day with every plant, and I insist that my technicians do the same. I highly recommend them to anyone who is watering containerized plants.

This is just like the sensor I had for years
This is just like the sensor I had for years. I tried a more expensive sensor, but felt I always needed the instructions when using it. This one is just the basic "damp enough" sensor...no frills or trying to figure out what a "3" means...just a pointer that goes from no dampness to a lot of dampness.

Wow, bought this thing on a whim, since I was hearing that my potted plants were too watered, and before they were too dry! Anyhow, I had no idea what was going on with these plants until this device showed up. One of the plants uses water quickly and needs more. One is way more wet than I can tell from the top. One goes from too wet for a couple of weeks to suddenly dry. Another plant doesn't even need much. Overall, an essential tool for the home! Read some of the reviews, there are some trolls in here! You put this thing in the soil and it immediately gives a reading, and it changes depending on how deep in the soil you put it. That's it, instant working perfectly. Why would some fake review put this thing in a glass of water and then complain? Weird.

Great product!
I love this! I have a few different types of houseplants. I was under the impression I could water them all on the same schedule, turns out you can’t. Who knew...NOT ME! Anyway this has helped me figure out more clearly when my plants need waters. Some are supposed to have the soil dry out between watering while others are supposed to keep somewhat moist. After a while I’ve kind of figured out how long i need to wait between waterings. I keep this in my biggest pot in the back slightly hidden from view and move it to varying plants when checking soil. I have not used this outside on any plants but I’m sure it would work just as well on those!

After returning 2, we kept this one. Why? It’s easy to read quickly, and just works. The 1st one you needed a magnifying glass to read, the 2nd one measured light, humidity, and soil moisture with a switch that got flaky fast, especially if it got wet. This is what you want to measure soil moisture, and it’s been working flawlessly for 6 months!

I bought this one for friends because I've had very good luck with the one that was given to me years ago. They are very happy with this one, especially the wife as she was always over watering plants, now that doesn't happen!

Functions as advertised
Have owned similar moisture meters in the past, this model works exactly as it should giving a good indication of soil moisture. I learned that it is better to keep probe out of the ground when not in use. Prevents it from being eaten away due to its' very nature. Delivery was on time and packaging suitable. Will not hesitate in ordering from Alotpower in the future.

All are the same, buy on price.
After losing a valuable set of crepes, which we had previously grown with excellent results, and reading an article that said plants are now shipped in lightweight media that has moisture characteristics much different than what you plant them in, I bought 3 moisture meters based on ratings mostly. They were all the same, made in China, with the same packaging that was not helpful. All were reliable, giving the same readings, and the media they came in sure enough dries out much faster than the planting soil I filled the larger hole with. The only difference is the multimeters have a smaller scale, which makes them harder to read when surveying the beds and yard. (These were the “Three Way Meter” and the “Jellas”). The single measure (moisture) is easier to read and I just ordered 2 more based on price (“Alotpower”). One of them broke off the electrode, but the problem was me pushing it into hard soil.

Does exactly what it's intended to do - reads soil moisture
Easy to use, accurate, no batteries required - absolutely perfect for my needs to help me stop drowning or parching my houseplants and get them to thrive instead. As for reviewers placing this in a glass of water to see if it reads "wet", I'm assuming this probe was never intended for liquid, it's for soil (to state the Captain Obvious). Wouldn't expect it to provide an accurate reading in anything other than soil. Just sayin'.
