Smells and (sometimes) tastes delicious
My cat, well, he's getting old and he's far more picky about his food these days. He has days when he can't get enough of these (esp the beef), and days when he'll just turn away, not interested at all. The fact that he licks his bowl clean, when the mood takes him, makes this a good quality cat food. Also, if/when the Zombie apocalypse comes, I'M eating this stuff. It smells absolutely delicious. And if my only recourse is to either eat "Fido Chum" - my own made-up brand, but the name is for sale, if anyone is interested, or Sheba, I'm eating the Sheba.

Great food and kitty tips
Best food ever if you are a single kitty household! My cat HATES cold food, and will not eat anything from the fridge, even it heated or left out to warm. He's a finicky brat...I assume a few of you know this feeling. He also has bowel problems and has to be on soft food only, and really likes the Sheba brand. Before I found these, I had two choices, let him have a whole can and some would go to waste sitting out too long or put half in the fridge and he would refuse it and it would go in the trash. Now he doesn't waste any food, so I don't feel like I'm throwing money away when he acts like a ....jerk. To the people who say they are hard to open or they get juice on themselves, just don't squeeze the middle of it when you open it. Hold the opposite end from the tab and a finger underneath the bottom and slowly pull the tab. It sounds like a lot, but it's super easy once you get it and the kitty gets lots of gravy. Also, a trick for people who's cats hate drinking... Fill the container with water after you put the food in the bowl and pour it in, I do 2 full containers since Jazz (my cat) refuses to drink water anymore. I mix the water and food together making a soupy mixture and he laps/gobbles everything up and gets all the water he needs.

It's been a real life saver.
My senior cat has gone through a lifetime of preferences by now, but most of her life she ate dry kibble. As she matured, she began to have thyroid issues and simply could not eat enough. She'd overeat, then vomit it all up. So I decided to try different types of wet food to alternate her dry food with. We tried all the "good" natural brands, as well as the cheaper lower quality brands in search of something she would eat for more than 1 or 2 cans. We tried grills, pates, chunks, and gravies. She liked gravies a lot, but not the chunks. Most pates were too dry, and lost their flavor appeal when we added water to thin it out. She didn't like it the cans if they were open too long or refrigerated. Nothing was working and she was losing weight pretty quickly. I decided to try Sheba with her after reading some reviews here. So glad I did. We mostly get the chicken portions and alternate them with the white fish, and salmon portions. Every meal is fresh. She eats 3-4 portions per day, and a 3am portion of dry kibble. She absolutely loves this stuff, and has even gained a little weight back. If you are having problems with your cat finding the "right" food, I'd definitely recommend your cat try this stuff.

Hooray for Sheba! Hooray for Amazon! Hooray for Amazon Smile! Happy Feline & Human Campers at our house!
Marlon loves Sheba turkey pate. I love the little Perfect Portions: they work out just right with no waste and no refrigeration needed (Marlon refuses to eat leftovers from the fridge no matter what I do with them and this has always been a problem, causing lots of waste). Marlon is 17 years old and has dry food available 24/7 and eats eats three wet meals a day: I open one pate portion for his breakfast and a second for his lunch -- and he finishes both over a short time period - about a half hour as he eats at his leisure (Marlon is large and rangy and he is hyperthyroid and needs his food)! He gets Turkey Cuts for his dinner and if he does not finish the can, I live with the waste!!!! I just love the little loaves that turn out of the Perfect Portions, with just the right amount of gravy to mix in to make them moist and yummy all through. I switched to Sheba fairly recently from a more commercial brand and I feel really good about the transition: both because of what I see as better quality and Marlon's enthusiasm. Marlon has irritable bowel and he is sensitive -- the transition to Sheba was very easy for him. I was able to do the mix 50-50 right away -- and Marlon was eating Sheba 100% after several days. I am happy with Sheba and confident that Marlon (and I) will stay with Sheba for the rest of Marlon's life. Thank you, Sheba, for high-quality food. Thank you, Amazon, for giving me the ability to buy in bulk at such nice prices with free shipping. Thank you, Amazon Smile, for allowing me to support a fabulous charity that rescues cats. Talk about win-win-win!

This is the good stuff and the only soft food I've found that my finicky cat will actually eat.
little spendy but my cat loves this stuff: chicken and beef so far:. I tried fancy feast, and a ton of other can foods and he just licks the juice off and it's a waste of a case of food since that's how I buy his treat foods. But this stuff he actually eats the whole portion, I'm blown away and he eats it fast. So this is great stuff and so much cheaper on Amazon than the stores. Thx Amazon for making me and my cat happy campers. Have a great day.

WOW! Thank you Sheba
I have an elderly 16 year old cat that has been slowly losing her teeth - one by one. She has been through several tooth extractions to halt infections and dental disease over the past 2 years. During this time, she's lost her palate for a variety of foods. She's completely done with dry kibble and now refuses the conventional "canned" food. I had been using "pate'" formulas of canned food but she's turned her nose up to even these more recently. When she started losing weight I got desperate and on a hunch - or should I say hope - I picked up a couple of these perfect portions of Sheba pate' and wow, wow, WOW!!! She ate 5 in a row - making up for lost nutrition! The texture is almost like a souffle' that she eats with NO effort. She especially loves the "Delicate Salmon" and now happy to say, the "Roasted Chicken and Liver". I am relieved to see that her body weight has returned to normal and she is well hydrated...a Happy Senior Cat. She normally eats 3 perfect portion cups a day now - sometimes 4. Thank you so much Sheba!

Sheba Has Turned My Harsh Mistress into a very Happy Monster
Sheba Has Turned My Harsh Mistress into a very Happy Monster In 2008, I began trying to convert Smidgen over from kibble to moist food, as it is better for feline teeth, which aren't designed to chew on crunchy things, at least not all the time. She never really got into it and usually just licked the gravy off anything, leaving a lot of leftovers that invariably got thrown away. Then I tried her on this. I now have to make life choices like, 'Do I want to give her a little extra bedtime snack or do I want to stay awake all night while she sings me the song of her people?' Considering I'm ordering more of this after submitting my review, I don't think I have to tell anyone what choice I made. If Smidgen were polydactyl, she'd give this food, especially the beef and turkey, two thumbs up. Instead, please let me share her verbal review, transcribed here exactly as it was said: "mmmrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRR MMMMEEEEEOOOOOOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWWWWWWWWMOWW MAWWWW MAWWWW MEEEEAWWW MRRRRRRRrrrrrrr!!!!" Happy Kittty, Happy Cat Owner
My picky cat loves these perfect portions. Since she would only eat 1/2 of a can of "canned" food, and refuse to eat the balance later, this is the perfect answer for me. I love the packaging. Its the perfect portion per meal for my cat. She prefers the Beef Entrée and gobbles it up like no other cat food I have ever served her. Also love the easy opening package. I am a 75 yr old senior and have no problems opening. Thank you so much for developing these containers.

Reasonably priced, grain-free. And kitty likes it.
I've so much to learn as a new fur baby parent... Before adopting our first kitty, I looked at a lot of products for the care and feeding of cats, spending over $200 for all the supplies we'd need. But I didn't know much about food. I bought Fancy Feast. UGH! My daughter started sending me links to articles about cat food ingredients... I knew cats didn't need vegetables, but I was unaware of how many products also contained grain products (also something carnivorous animals don't need). The Sheba Perfect Portions are a reasonably-priced compromise. It does contain by-products (animal parts never found at your supermarket meat counter), but no grains or vegetables. The perfect cat foods (no by-products) cost twice as much. Should I buy the absolute best for our fur baby? Absolutely. But that would probably mean not having a fur baby at all. The Sheba is affordable, higher quality, and widely available. I visited the manufacturer's website and was impressed with their commitment to using only sustainable resources for seafood varieties (though we'll probably only feed fish occasionally due to concern about Vitamin A toxicity). Some other reviews mention difficulty opening the containers and I would have to agree. I squirted the juice/gravy all over myself last night. Whatever adhesive is used to attach the foil top to the plastic container is very effective for protecting the product. Don't squeeze the container and open it very, very slowly. Our new kitty likes the Sheba pates. We'll keep the Fancy Feast for occasional variety or emergencies (mom forgets to order more Sheba in a timely manner). It's a learning process.

Praise for SHEBA PERFECT PORTIONS PATE .......
I've searched for nearly a year for a wet cat food for my kitty who has stomatitis. Poor guy has lost all of his teeth, and the vet said to feed him only wet foods to lessen his chance for pain. He was on Fancy Feast for gravy lovers, then FF pate. I don't know if he tired of this brand, but it looked as though he was eating less and less. I used broths and stews and bisque, but these were geared toward snacks, not meals. I recently purchased the SHEBA pate, and he's starting to get his appetite back again. I've tried about 4 pate' brands, this one is the absolute softest. It is soft enough and "fluffy" enough not to get plastered into the bowl as he licks it up. This is truly a lifesaving game changer for my little guy. He's about 10, and with the stomatitis, he needs all the help he can get. SHEBA pate' will help me to keep him as healthy as possible. Thank you SHEBA folks! The packaging is nice, plastic portion sections with foil seals that have a tab. Well sealed, looks like they will not leak. There are two container sections per each single unit that snap apart making two servings per single physical unit. Twelve units of two servings per multipack 24 in total. Kitty likes the flavor I chose, Chicken Entree, and it even smells pretty good for cat food. I will purchase this one again!
