Nice way to teach little ones about saving. "You can't get money out of an ATM if you don't put money in". I think our little grand nephew who turned 4yrs old in April may have been just a little young but we liked this little bank and purchased it even though the mgr recommended it for 6 and up. We couldn't resist giving it to him so he got this gift at his party and was a little too excited to spend much time with it but he understood how to put money in and how to get it out to buy something "special". We're happy with our purchase and would buy another if we had another little person to buy for. Nice quality. Packaged well. Arrived in perfect condition. Easily assembled.

Great Bank for Kids

I purchased this for my 8 year old, who preferred to keep his money in an open plastic container rather than the two piggy banks he had. Wanting to begin teaching the value of money, earning for chores, paying for his own "please please please" at the stores, I felt this was a good start. He loves it! As soon as he received it, he began putting his money in the "bank machine". He likes entering the pin (like mom does) to get his money out. And now when we are heading out, I can ask him, "honey, do you need to go to the ATM before we go to the store?". It is working great for it's purpose, and keeping his money secure and organized.

My little girl (5) is so happy with her bank! The motorized mechanism that pulls in the money is awesome, and she keeps opening the bank, counting her money, and re-inserting it. Her siblings are jealous. For the price, it is well-made and simple to operate. A funny thing, since it is for kids and plastic after all, is that you can reset the code, if it is forgotten, by simply removing the batteries, and it goes back to "0000" We have had to do that more than once...

Great for kids!!!

I bought this for my 5 year old to store the quarters he earns doing household projects. He loves this! Whether he realizes it or not, it's teaching him to remember a pin number and why we keep our money in a safe. The code is easy enough to reset if needed and my 5 year old LOVES the bright red color. We switched it to the beeping noises instead of the voice because the voice became a bit obnoxious pretty quickly. We haven't run into any drawbacks with this product yet. The cash deposit slot is the right size and this can be used as easily as a piggy bank for dropping coins into. The only thing that would make this cooler would be if they had a see-through one so the kids could see the inner mechanisms working. Granted, I'd rather have my kid more concerned with saving his money than learning how to bust open the safe holding money. Haha

Highly recommend it!

I absolutely love this money safe that serves multiple purposes. It’s serves as decor, putting all loose change to lessen the weight of my purse, fun way to teach to save money, and I love it! The safe arrive as it appears on the picture and to my surprise it’s a good size piggy bank! I love that it came with a screw driver to open the bottom to insert your own batteries (3 AAs batteries). Tip: when changing the safe combination, 1. Enter the current default code and open the door. Then just press the * and then enter the 4 digit pin# you desire and hit #. The instruction states “hold * button” but it’s inaccurate. It only took me 1 minute to figure it out. Pretty awesome :) I recommend it if you want a cute multi purpose upgrade piggy bank! It’s modern, welll built, and pretty awesome!

I got this for my 5 year old nephew. At first I couldn't change the code from 0000 but then I read from another reviewer you have to push down the * button, put in your code, while holding down the # button at the same time. The instructions don't say that. Hope this helps.

Fun and Secure "Piggy Bank"

We purchased one of these for each of the kids this Christmas, and they were very excited. We've had normal piggy banks in the past, but they have broken, or lost their plugs, and they always end up empty. These safes provide the kids with a safe place to store their money, and the code keeps their siblings from "borrowing" anything without permission.

I bought this for my 9-year-old son. He is often tempted to spend the money he's been saving and this is a way to prevent that. We haven't tried the voice feature, but the combination code works great. My son loves how the bank sucks in the money like a "vending machine." He couldn't wait to show my mother how it worked. Fortunate for him, he had to have her give him a dollar for purposes of the demonstration and then informed her that he didn't have the code to unlock it. Smart thinking kid! VERY easy to set up.

A huge hit at Christmastime

I suspect that I'm not the only grandparent with a grandchild who does not lack for material possessions. Our seven-year-old grandson has such an overabundance of toys and things that I fear he doesn't really appreciate what he has. Finding a Christmas gift that will delight him can be a challenge...but this toy certainly did! He is also very interested in money (why is that not a surprise?) but somehow he did not yet own a bank except for the piggy-style that little tots often have. This gift was, arguably, his favorite at Christmas. He left the rest of his gifts to be opened later; immediately wanted to figure out how the bank operated, started soliciting donations from family members to try it out, etc. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. One of the best things about the combination is that the default is 0000...so, no matter what secret code your child might input, you can always remove the bank's batteries and the combination will default to 0000. I would recommend this to anyone who's casting about for a unique gift for a child (whether or not said child has an overweening interest in money!). In fact, I may purchase this product again to give to another child in our family.
