I bought it months ago to hang banners while at expos but either forgot to carry it at some events or didn't want to be bothered dealing with it at others. However, I plan to use it this week and decided to take it for a test run in my living room. Had I known it would be so easy to set up, I would've been using it from the get-go. Seriously, the base/side poles are already connected. All you have to do it loosen the locks to adjust the height and the base of the stand, then tighten it to secure it in place. The only part left to connect is the top pole, which are just two poles you have to interlock, then tighten with the already placed washers and lock. They probably would've included that already assembled if it wasn't so long. I reeeeeeally like this stand. It's also very lightweight and comes with a carry bag. I have no complaints. This test run reminded me that I need to purchase rope or zipties to hang my banner. I also need to buy sand to fill up the included sand bags which is very important if you're doing an outdoor event. As I mentioned, it's lightweight which is great, but a gust of wind will send it flying!

If you're an amateur photographer or semi professional photographer like myself this set is for you. The price is great and the set itself looks and feels of high quality. I've gotten many compliments about it. I do wish the sandbags came with actual weights but no biggie. The clamps are super strong and sturdy. The fact the you can adjust the height and width is also another great thing about this set i paired mine with the Julius Studio Muslin backdrop 5 piece set and haven't had any issues. Great value all around. Definitely a great buy

I searched for many many backdrops that weren't overpriced but would still hold up and be sturdy enough for a party. I have used it a total of three times, and each time it sets up in about 5 minute with one person! Mine came wth a carrying case & was missing the sandbags and clips, I contacted the seller and they shipped them out to me super fast just in time for my event. I added the pictures so you could see that you don't need to be an expert to use it :)

Perfect for my backdrop! A little flexible so I used plain clear packaging tape to reinforce the connecting point in the middle to keep from sagging. It worked out great!

Best purchase ever! I can't believe how easy this is to use and adjust! I was able to set it up quickly without reading the instructions. I hung four backdrops on it and flipped them over the back so I could quickly take more photos. I compacts easily for storage and is pretty lightweight

I read through most of the reviews here and came to the conclusion a lot of people were trying to use it for purposes beyond its intent. When you do that, things seldom work properly. One seemingly legitimate complaint however, was the difficulty of assembling it and the flimsy, broken, non-existent, or broken parts. Nothing could have been further from the truth with mine; I had it assembled within fifteen minutes out of the packaging without even glancing at the instruction sheet! If you've ever used a camera tripod, or a music stand, you can master this is no time! At this price point, you can't expect it to be professional-grade but for the amateur photographer, it's amazing!

Reasonably priced, great product! Arrived on time and met my party needs....a little wobbly but the sandbags helped greatly...one sandbag had a broken zipper...no time to return so I used duck tape. I love the storage bag too!!!

Came out great, nice and even. The clips held up the fabric perfectly, didn’t need any modification. I was worried the weight of the fabric would make it tip without the weights on but it didn’t at all. Very stable. Held up all night

Please read the full review! Quality of Product: 5/5 Ease of Setting Up: 4/5 Ease of Breaking Down: 5/5 Durability: 4/5 Stability: 3/5 Shipping: 5/5 Overall 4 out of 5, but for me and the things I need it, 5/5. Alright so at first I was kinda debating on whether or not to get it because of all of the mixed reviews but I'm glad I got it because it's perfect for what I needed. I'm a free lance illustrator and besides working at home, I go to conventiontions quite frequently and I needed something that would help the whole set up process go by faster and opted for this and honestly, I'm glad I did. This product was very nicely made and it came on time and with everything it said it would have. It was easier to put it all away then install it because my main problem was the horizontal bar. The two bars are suppose to stick together and click, but to make it do that I had to go out of my way and beyond to make it happen, aka, ask for help. And something else was the stability of it all. I seemed to have a hard time getting it to find an equilibrium with the height and even if it was just a bit off on one of the legs, it would balance on 2 out of the 3 stilts causing it to slightly wobble, not by much though. That could be an inconvenience for artists in the artist alley with cramped spaces but it's just something to be careful and watchful about. Overall I needed to use the sandbags for weight distribution. What I hung on my photo set were prints made out of light cardstock and held up with tape so over all it was very light and didn't make it wobble. I wouldn't recommend this product for people who have to be setting up and breaking down on uneven terrain or even put multiple heavy backdrops on it, I feel like it would leave a bit of a drop on the horizontal beam. The simpler you keep this product the better it works. But honestly for what you pay for, it still works as it says it does, I just think people expect this to work like a set of $100 + dollars where there are obvious differences. Overall I was satisfied with my product, but for others reading this make sure it works for what you're interested in doing.

This is a very nice photographer's backdrop stand for the price. The unit is designed well and assembles very quickly and easily. It is sturdy and stable for hanging light-weight backdrops. It is small diameter tubular metal, so when fully extended would not be adequate to hold heavy materials as it would likely bow in the middle. It is a nice bonus that the carry case, bag weights, and clamps are included with the stand instead of having to purchase separately. The connectors, fasteners, and pole clamps are lightweight plastic, so this stand is probably not recommended for heavy-duty, frequent, professional use. This unit met my expectations and fit my needs perfectly, so I would recommend it to others.
