this is a very robust and well made clamp... opens wide, holds tight with rubber to protect attaching surface, secures well to standard 1/4" male threads on a tripod or monopod extender, and helped me create a very effective and cost effective backdrop system; i am utilizing this clamp on the top of a monopod tripod extender, which is connected to the quick-release plate of a standard tripod, to hold a 6' x 2" PVC Pipe, then to hold a photography backdrop screen with clamps(identified below)... works awesome with one single tripod, monopod extender, clamps, and PVC pipe to setup your photographic backdrop screen at a fraction of the price for a typical high-height dual tripods and cross member to hold backdrop screens... most photographers already have a tripod, so just add the following to create a backdrop screen system: • 6' x 2" PVC Pipe • quick spring loaded clamps to hold backdrop screen to PVC pipe: Tosnail Stainless Steel Beach Bath Towel Clips Hooks Holder, Keep Your Towels From Blowing Away, Set of 18 • Clamp to hold the PVC Pipe: this clamp being reviewed; Anwenk Super Clamp w/ 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 Thread for Cameras, Lights, Umbrellas, Hooks, Shelves, Plate Glass, Cross Bars,Photo Accessories and More • Monopod extender to add to std tripod get to 8' - 9' height for a 10' long photographic backdrop screen: Luxebell Selfie Stick Adjustable Telescoping Monopod Pole for Gopro Hero 5, Session 5, Hero 4/3+/3/2, 40" (Black) • Backdrop screen (one black & one white): ESDDI Background Photography Backdrop Screen for Video Television Made of Pure Nonwoven Fabrics, 6 x 10FT / 2 x 3M Black and White other than the PVC pipe, all items for this system were purchased on Amazon for a fraction of the typical dual tripod & crossbar backdrop screen system. (ok, so now maybe you need another tripod to take the shots, but an additional tripod is cost effective and still keeps the total price well below that of a typical "backdrop screen system" and you still have only two(2) tripods vs. three(3), if space saving or minimization is a criteria for you.) pic away!!! :-)

I make videos and have several pieces of equipment attached to rigs, audio bars, tripods, you name it. I was using huge Justin Clamps which added a lot of weight and lacked versatility and had a set clamp strength with a spring. I came across these Anwenk Clamps while casually surfing for something better, smaller, more secure. I also ordered a bag of 1/4-20 adapters so I'd be ready to attach my gear. These little clamps are very strong, well constructed and the tightening T-handle is just the right size. I can clamp microphones and digital recorders exactly where I need them while taking up minimum space. They stay put! No more clamp sliding, twisting, rotating at the wrong moment. These little clamps have a great rubber grip insert and really holds in place. What I REGRET, not buying more! I'm going to have these in my gear bag, I do with I had purchased the articulated 1/4-20 attachments instead of the fixed position 1/4-20 posts, but not complaining in the least. If you have video, photography or audio rigs that you need to attach your gear to, these are exactly what you will LOVE. I recommend them without hesitation. ONE tiny improvement, make the threated T-Grip BLACK so it doesn't show up in reflective surfaces, it's currently shiney silver and that gets visual attention.

I purchased this with the "AmazonBasics Lightweight Mini Tripod" to use to hold a flashlight. This is a great pair and lets me place the flashlight in any position and it stays put. I am replacing my outlets and wanted a portable light that could be pointed in any direction. Just put any small flashlight in the clamp and you are in business!

This clamp was one of the cheap ones if I remember. Or knowing me. But rather than call it cheap let's call it "Inexpensive" and here is why. The threads are cut nicely. Clean and smooth and the action is smooth. The aluminum is machined nicely. All edges radiused so no sharp edges. The finish is pleasing. The clamp opens wide, 2.150 to be exact. If you're going to want to open the clamp to its fullest you'll need a .300" spacer on the 1/4 - 20 side and a .360" for the 3/8" side. With the right cold shoe or depending on what you attach to it you might not need a spacer. Anything under 1.380" you won't need a spacer. You will need a stud to attach anything to the clamp. This is just a clamp. The only problem I foresee is the rubber pads coming off. That will be the case even with a high end clamp. This clamp gets 5 stars even with the slight drawback of needing spacers to open it fully in some cases. This is a great deal in my opinion.

These Camera Flash Speedlite Mount Swivel Light Stand Bracket are a Must Have for any photographer's gear bag. I have found numerous situations where they have come in handy without even knowing they would beforehand. In a jam, you can use nearly any pole or stick that mount can fit on and make a light stand on the spot.

I'm a wedding photographer so these get a lot of use. I like that they're small but durable - never had an issue with them. The knobs and turny things are all easy to turn yet don't stick out too far. I especially like that the top, cold shoe part has plastic, not metal turny bits, as the metal ones just seize up in cold weather. I have bought probably ten different brackets over the years and these are my favorite.

This a very versatile bracket for holding an off camera flash/strobe. It is all metal and mounted to the top of a spare tripod I had on hand perfectly. It will not only support a flash but has a hole with wing nut to hold an umbrella reflector. The cold shoe mount has screw to tighten the flash very securely to the mount.

Compact and sturdy little clamp for on-camera type flash units and small umbrellas, Metal construction, rather than plastic and enough joints to make it movable in useful ways. A little oil on the attaching screws is a tip, the small screw that tightens the shoe on the base of the flash can get hard to open (a coin-slot is provided as an emergency screwdriver, nice touch) but minor quibble. Small size makes it easy to carry with compact light stands to complete your location lighting kit.

This is the perfect connector for this microphone stand (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BPBKQ9C/ref=od_aui_detailpages01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and this shotgun microphone (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HE9G3UQ/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). It came with two springs and one screw loose, but it was an easy fix. It does exactly what I want it to do: it allows me to angle the microphone appropriately overhead for video recordings. The quality is good, and it's not too heavy...although it is mostly metal (some of the knobs are plastic, but it doesn't feel cheap).

The build quality on these are great. They feel sturdy and seem like they will last for a long time. I would say, make sure whatever you're putting on this, that it's fastened snug in the mount. I used a torch led light on this and didn't screw it all the way and almost broke it when I raised it on the stand. So tighten everything and jiggle it around first to make sure it's in there right.
