Economical, Accurate, Simple to Use
I've used two brands of 7-in-1 test strips and find this has been the most accurate in comparison to the correspondingly fewer API liquid Master Test Kit. The pH, Chlorine, Nitrate and Nitrite have been "spot-on" to the point that I am relying on these daily. The General Hardness test appear to closely approximate the Tetra 6-in-1 readings that I've used previously but had found theirs to be somewhat inconsistent from package to package. I'm glad to have found these from JNW which mimic, the Stript Health offering but are pleasantly more economical, particularly with the 100 and 150 strip packages offered by JNW. As with any test strips, the interpretation of the readings to the color chart is somewhat subjective but with proper lighting and the plastic-wrap protected chart on the bottle, it becomes easy to analyze and spot changes in biology well before harmful stages occur. These strips and single chart are compatible with Salt and Freshwater use, I recommend and will continue to use these as my staple in fish-keeping.

Easy and accurate
I have been using the bottles with drops where you have to measure out water from the aquarium, and the results were not what I expected, so I brought a sample to test at the local pet store to confirm my suspicions. I bought these, and they are easy to use, easy to store, and accurate as far as all of my validation testing. Keep them horizontal while waiting for results so the test pad chemicals don't spill onto each other.

Great Test Strips for Daily Aquarium Use
My aquatic science students have 34 active aquariums in my classroom. These test strips are so handy for daily water quality checks. This keeps them from wasting time with always using the Freshwater Master Test Kits that we used to always use. They are still great when you need to deal with a major problem in your tank, but the strips are much better for everyday use. Love them and my high school students find them very easy to use and read. One suggestion: can you make a test strip the only tests for free chlorine, nitrate and nitrite? This are the major parameters my students have to look for each day and record in their lab notebooks.

great quality testers
i have read many reviews that where negative about this product... it may be a bad batch or a they didn't follow the instructions correctly but with my master testing kit and using the sticks... they where testing right on the spot. i haven't had a problem yet after testing 12 different times for the water. great quality for the great price. no complaints on my end.

This has got to be the easiest and most accurate test kit ever.
You take out a strip, Dip it into your aquarium water for 2 seconds, wait about 5 seconds then compare the strip with the colors on the sample strip. That's all there is to it.

pH and tropical fish health
I use this product to measure pH and carbonate in a a 15-20 gal tropical fish aquarium which includes guppies and several other varieties of tropical fish. I observe that if the pH drops much below 7 with low carbonate, guppies suffer. At that point I add 1-2 mL of solution to raise the pH a little. Almost immediately the guppies come back to normal healthy behavior. Very impressive. AV

Works for me!
Fast delivery using prime, no problems, great deal. Strips work quickly if you follow the directions. Tested two different tanks [amazon tank vs african cichlid tank] and the strips were accurate and do work. Testing the nitrates / nitrites is a little hard because the colors are pretty similar. That and I don't have any tanks cycling right now that would show huge differences like that. Hardness and PH were accurate and the strips picked up the differences between tanks.

Easy and works well.
These test strips are easy to use and give results for most of the tests I am interested in. I compared the results with the API master freshwater test kit and was surprised and pleased that the results were extremely close. The only drawback is that it does not test for ammonia but on the other hand it does testing of other water parameters. I will be using these for frequent testing and the ammonia test from the API kit. Needless to say I will periodically use the API kit to verify test results.
