Lightweight but sturdy - easy setup - high quality
This is a high quality tripod at a great price. It’s surprisingly lightweight and sturdy enough to easily hold my Nikon D3300 with standard lens. I’m sure it can easily support larger telephoto lenses too. The case is good quality with nice protective padding. This folds up surprisingly small. The thin red rings on the grips and red tabs on the adjustment tabs are a subtle attractive touch. I originally bought the Amazon Basics lightweight tripod not realizing it wasn’t rated to support DSLR cameras. It might have worked okay in my studio setup, but I decided to return it and spring for this one instead. I’m so glad I did. It’s like night and day. This is thoughtfully designed. Another reviewer mentioned preferring that the tilt head would have a long arm for adjusting like other tripods, but I like the knob and find it very easy to use. Great job, Bonfoto! I couldn’t be happier.

Small, compact and easy to set up.
This is a terrific tripod, very easy to set up, lightweight, sturdy and stable. The fit and finish make the tripod look like it costs a lot more than it did. This tripod is a tremendous value. The inclusion of the carrying case is another excellent feature as well as the easy to use ball head with protective cover. The size of the tripod when folded is about 14 inches and when placed in its case is easy to carry over the shoulder. I have loved using it for the brief period that I have had it. Anyone looking for a quality, extremely affordable, well-made and compact tripod should definitely take a look at the Bonfoto 690A lightweight aluminum alloy tripod with a 360 degree ball head, 1/4 inch quick release plate, bubble level and carry bag. You will be very happy you did. I am using mine with a Canon SL2 lightweight, compact DSLR. I works perfectly when attached. A nice, unexpected feature is that when my camera is attached to the mounting plate, I still have access to my battery and sd card compartment located on the bottom of the camera. I am able to take both out and put them back without having to remove the plate. This is very useful and saves time. Bravo! Bonfoto.

Just what I was looking for
Was looking for a nice and solid Tripp’s for my Sony a6000 that has a peak design capture clip attached. I didn’t want it removed for efficiency and took the gamble by getting this bonfoto Tripod and I’m super glad it did.fits the peak standard capture clip so it should fit arcs Swiss plates. The knob expands so it doesn’t matter how wide. Slides in and out and locks it in securely. Can’t wait to take it out! Built well and love the red accents to match the peak design accessories I have. Fits the peak design sling also!

Phenomenal Tripod!
Wow! Where to begin! I bought this for my girlfriend, who is in to photography and is trying to step up her equipment game. Looks like after fooling around with it, I’ll be getting one myself! My $350 Mefoto tripod is extremely comparable to the quality of this guy! In fact, this tripod even holds more weight! Unbelievable deal, and I’ll come back to this review to see how it tests in the field!

Well made compact tripod for price paid
Just received this tripod and have not used yet but it appears well made. I purchased for travel because of it's 14.5 min height. Also really like the ballhead and use of knobs instead of levers/handles that were constantly in the way and hard to pack. Now I just need to find an additional quick release plate to have as a backup and to use on my backup camera for convenience. Update: Based on answer provided by another purchaser I purchased on Amazon Harwerrel 50mm Quick Release Plate Fits Arca-Swiss Standard for Camera Tripod Ballhead (Pack of 2) and they work great and are cheaper than the brand suggested by the seller https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VONJ260?ref=myi_title_dp

Bonfoto B690A.
I like this little tripod. Don't be fooled by the vendor calling this lightweight. True it is very light and folds up to a very compact package but it is solid. It will support my Canon T1i with battery handle and 75-300mm at full zoom with legs and center tube fully extended. There is no creep in the ball when when locked down the only issue I have found with the head is the heavy grease used in the pan pivot. If you pan left the head has a tendency to unscrew. I removed the pan lock screw, shot some WD40 in the hole and let it soak in over night, much improved. The ball head can be removed if you find you don't like it and replaced. I temporary mounted a Manfrotto fluid head on the B690A just for giggles. For the price I could ask for more.

I love this thing.
This is my first fully-featured tripod, and I’ve never owned or used the very expensive tripods reviewers are often comparing this and similar items to. So I don’t have perspective on that. I can say I paid more for a monfrotto from a big box retailer that is vastly inferior to this tripod. The lack of center weight and the overall weight of that tripod means it stays at home if I’m hiking. The center hook that I hung my gear bag from in the attached photo meant I could feel confident leaving some fairly expensive, fairly heavy gear on a tripod on a mountain summit where sudden gusts of wind are common. The light weight of this tripod meant I could manage to get it to the summit in the first place. This was a prime day deal for me, but I’d be happy with it at regular price knowing what I do now. One reviewer noted that you can still turn it along the horizontal access even when it is tightened all the way down. This appears to be true, but it’s not going to start turning on its own or anything. And the other two knobs hold fast, both of which would actually be deal breakers if not. I am also not a professional photographer, so I can’t say if this will stand up to the rigors of a few hundred weddings, or similar. All I can say is if you want to hike with a tripod that you can trust your expensive camera gear to, this one seems like a great bet. As far as it’s ability to handle heavy gear, I trust it’s rating. I have used it with a 1) sigma 70-200 sports lens + 2) the mc-11 sony e-mount adapter, + 3) fc-2001 teleconverter, all mounted to 4) my Sony A7 III. That is a pretty, pretty heavy setup, and it felt solid as a rock the whole time to me.

The perfect travel tripod, surprisingly well built.
For background, I do videography and still photography with a Lumix GH5, Canon T3i, DJI Phantom 4 Pro and DJI Osmo+. I own a set of Slik Pro 700DX tripod legs which are huge, but create an incredibly stable platform for just about anything. I also have a Zomei Z888C Carbon Fiber tripod which I consider my "standard" tripod. It's light and compact enough to bring along most places, but very stable and a max height of 68". I bring it when I'm doing a planned shoot. However, it's still big enough that I tend to leave it behind in many situations when I'm traveling light. So for me, this Bonfoto B690A fills the role of a travel tripod, and a "just in case" tripod. If I'm grabbing a small set of gear to throw in a gear pack for a casual shoot or impromptu event, and I don't really think I'll need a tripod, this is small enough that I can bring it along "just in case". Considerably smaller and lighter than my other tripods, but is still substantial enough, and stable enough, to be useful in many situations. It also takes up a lot less room in a suitcase for traveling or backpacking. I'm actually quite surprised at how stable it is for such a small and inexpensive piece of gear. Even when both the legs and center column are fully extended, it's very usable. Of course it isn't as stable as the others I own, but plenty enough to do the job especially given that if I didn't have this tripod, I wouldn't bring one along at all for some situations. I like the flip-lock legs, although the locks are plastic and I'm concerned that they may not hold up long term. There are a few other small places where plastic is used instead of metal, such as in the quick release plate, but that's all good because it helps reduce the weight, which is one of the reasons I got this. I weighed it at 2 pounds 7 ounces, a real lightweight to me! Everything works smoothly and has the feel of a quality tripod. In fact, many of its features look identical to the Zomei tripod I own, and I'd guess that they're both manufactured by the same company. The red accents make for an attractive, modern look. The ball head seems well made and works fine. You can loosen a small knob on the side which releases the head to rotate in the pan axis, without unlocking the ball. This makes it more useful for videography and still panoramas. The rotation of the pan axis has a very smooth feel to it, but also has a resistance to motion that gives it a kind of viscous feel. It rotates with low to moderate force when moved slowly, but requires more force to rotate more quickly. This imparts a steadiness to video panning, and pretty much eliminates the uneven pan speed you usually get from hand panning on cheap tripods. By the way, this feature is also on my Zomei tripod ball head, which looks very similar to this one. Bottom line, this tripod will get a lot of use from me. It's the perfect size and weight to allow me to bring it on shoots where I might otherwise decide to just leave the tripod at home. And at $65, it's cheap enough that I don't have to worry much about mishandling it or having it get damaged in transit. Definitely an excellent travel tripod. I highly recommend it!

Only thing better than the tripod is the service!
I’m a professional photographer and I have just started fooling around with nature and landscapes. I was looking for a lightweight, sturdy, well-designed tripod that I could hike with all day long. This item fills the bill. It feels well made and allowed me to take all kinds of shots. I feel confident putting my camera on this tripod. All of the controls feel smooth and secure. It looks like a much more expensive tripod. I experienced a minor issue with the ball head and Bonfoto resolved my issue, no questions asked, within 1 business day! I will definitely be buying again from Bonfoto.
