Finally a USB CD/DVD Player that actually plays/rips CDs
Took a lot of effort to find an external CD drive. This arrived on time & is working perfectly.

this is perfect for me
I needed an external DVD because the new laptop did not come with one - I thought all laptops came with a DVD player. This is perfect for me. I can watch my movies and I am a happy person.

Awesome USB Portable DVD Player
I bought this portable DVD Player for doing school work. It works great! It does not have batteries, it plugs into my computer. The cord is short, so the unit is close to my computer for easy access. Also, the cord does not detach from DVD player, so you can't lose the cord! I am happy with my purchase.

easy to connect
My laptop doesn’t have a DVD CD player included, this product met my expectations, is small, easy to connect, match with laptop.

Would recommend this product to anyone............
Great value for the money. Really easy to install and use, all you do is plug and play. Being able to select viewing zones by clicking on a map is a brilliant idea and makes the viewing of our European and US Dvd's simple.

Exactly As Advertised
Exactly as advertised. I have a new ASUS Windows 10 laptop and I simply plugged this in and it worked immediately. No additional software or drivers needed. It took me just a couple of minutes to upload three CD's to my iTunes account. One thing I discovered however.... if you place your hand on the top of the drive while it is turning it will eject the disc. Not sure if there is a sensor built into the top, but it worked every time I tried it. That said, I had no issues uploading all the discs without any interruption. For those who may be familiar with Apple's SuperDisc player/writer, this looks exactly like it... same color, etc. Honestly, their isn't much to say... it is a solid piece and seems to be high quality as well.

Great product
product did just what I was looking for. Just plug into your computer and it starts right up. I was using this to import music CDs and it worked great. Great price too!

at best, on its ease of installation
I'd give this product an A+ grade on its current performance, but just an A-, at best, on its ease of installation. The CD drive operates perfectly now, but I had almost given up on it due to unsuccessful repeated attempts to install it on my iMac (you may need to reboot computer several times.) My advice to buyers is "Don't give up; Keep trying. It's worth the potential frustration." I waited several weeks to submit this review, just to make sure this product continues to provide excellent service. It does. Version Tech customer service also seems to be very attentive and responsive to its customers. Good product, good price and good business. Highly recommend if you need an external drive for CDs. it seems to work just fine. The instructions that came with the unit say ...
While this little exterior DVD drive is, to me, a bit on the primitive side, due to it's sort of "clunk-i-ness" and the fact that there is no real way to eject the DVD other than electronically with the use of the computer, it seems to work just fine. The instructions that came with the unit say there "should" be a small button on the side of the USB cord plug, that is used to eject the DVD. Nope, not there. It took me a bit to cruise around in the screens to find the EJECT button. But, no biggie.
