Cured my baby’s eczema & husband’s dandruff!

Years ago I read about showerhead filters on RealSimple & I immediately came to Amazon & bought this. My husband has had dandruff for years and I bought him all kinds of shampoos including Selsum Blue to help him. After a couple weeks with this showerhead, I kid you not, his dandruff was cured. We live in Miami, FL. This product has also eliminated the slimy pink stuff that builds up in your shower after not cleaning it for a week or two. Fast forward a few years and my husband and I have our first child. When he came home from the hospital he had some minor skin dryness and eczema. We were told to switch our baby’s soap to Cetaphil-which we did and it improved it significantly, but not completely. So I decided to use only the water coming out of my showerhead (with the attached filter) to spray my baby. No lie, my son’s skin has been perfect ever since. Now, I only use my showerhead to bathe my baby.

This review is a MUST READ for anyone buying filters on Amazon. First off, let me say that this product as well as the company is the best on Amazon when it comes to shower filters. Now that I have that out of the way, let me tell you why. We bought this shower filter to replace one that we had purchased from a different brand. The housing as well as the filter was of the greatest quality. We were instantly in love with it. Our skin was soft, not itchy. The shower no longer burned our noses from inhaling chlorine. No more dandruff. The water just FEELS different! Enter this filter replacement and why you MUST READ THIS REVIEW: I ordered a replacement filter because after about 6 months, we noticed that ours was nearing the end of its life. We received it promptly, but it looked like it had been opened already so we returned it and ordered another. The replacement came and was perfectly sealed. I installed it and soon thereafter my wife's face started breaking out in what looked like unstoppable acne. She has never had acne before so this was very strange. We changed our diet, we changed our soaps, she changed every single makeup. I had such confidence in this company and their products that i never once suspected the filter to be causing it. Finally after exhausting everything I contacted the company and asked if they could tell me what is in the filter media. I thought maybe my wife may have been allergic etc. The company got back with me almost IMMEDIATELY which I really appreciated. No more orange film buildup in my shower. Hair and skin feel so much better. The water in my town in Tennessee is just awful. The aquabliss filter is a great purchase.

I can tell when these filters are getting old when the hard water strikes with a vengeance on the walls and shower curtain. Also my hair feels like I went swimming then dried it in the desert if it’s full of crap. Really helps with my sensitive skin/scalp. One of the cheapest ones on the market. Almost a nesessicty if you live in a place with no water softener like I do. If you wonder if you have a water softener, if you’re in an apartment you probably don’t. If you’ve not run much water in 2-3 days or so and it smells farty when you run it you don’t. Consider getting one if you have skin/scalp problems. I get much less dander, my hair is softer, and my skin is softer and doesn’t peel off. I even run the shower head to fill the tub for baths. Takes forever but it’s worth it. When I replace the filters, the old one is close to a pound heavier than the new one. Works pretty darn great.

I've been using this filter for 6 months and when I changed it out, decided to take the used one apart and take a peek inside. It does appear to contain the multi-stage materials and screens as advertised. I didn't find any scum, debris, or other *visible* signs of impurities removed from my water. I have noticed that my hair doesn't seem to be as dry/frizzy and my skin isn't as dry, irritated or red as it was before I started using the filter 6 months ago. I'm going to continue using it - I had originally purchased it to help with the rosacea flare-ups on my face and so far, the combination of water filter and Soolantra topical cream seems to have eliminated my rosacea entirely.

Worth every penny and depending on bad your water is you may need to change them ...

I was most impressed with customer service - they responded quickly and gave me all the info I needed to order the correct replacement for unit. I placed my order on subscription so I'll never be without chlorine-free water in my shower.
