I purchased this to use on a two week trip I took to Europe where I visited Lonodon (UK), Paris (France), and Amsterdam (Netherlands). I activated the card in the USA the day before I left in an unlocked BLU phone I purchased from Amazon. USA: Activation was no problem. Tested my data connection and had a solid 3G connection with no issues. Also tested calling and it worked fine. I was unable to get SMS to work, but I ended up never using calls or SMS abroad. Just data. London (UK): No problems at all. Used the data connection (3G) for navigation and never had a dropped connection unless I was in the underground, which makes sense. I recommend installing the London Underground app if you want help navigating underground. Did a little photo sharing and email. All worked just fine. Paris (France): Same as above, except that one day I lost data connection for about half a day. It came back after a phone reboot, so I'm not sure if it was the phone or the connection. Aside from that, it was perfect. Amsterdam (Netherlands): No issues and an absolute lifesaver. Maybe it was just me, but I had a very hard time navigating Amsterdam. Was very thankful to have navigation via the data connection. For the price, this is an incredible prepaid sim card for traveling abroad. They claim to support 42 different countries, and if it works as well in the others as it did in the three I visited, you'll be satisfied. Primarily used for maps and e-mail, I came nowhere close to using up the data allowance (12GB in UK, 9GB in other countries. Usage rate is x3 outside of UK). In two weeks in three countries, I think I used about 2 - 3GB of data. $35 for 12GB/9GB of data? I pay $40 a month for 4GB in the US.

I spent two weeks in Europe and used this so I didn't have to buy a SIM card upon landing. I traveled to Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Albania, Kosovo, Bulgaria, and Hungary. It worked in all countries fairly well. Some of the mountains of Bulgaria challenged it, but I didn't see many cell phone towers, so I can't blame the SIM card. It was great to be able to open Google Maps and Whatsapp without any issues. It was definitely more GB than I needed (I used less than 3 GB, as all the hotels had wifi), but it gave me piece of mind to use the Google Maps wherever we were. It's super easy to get lost in Prague! It helped me find restaurants and places without wasting time. I would definitely recommend it.

Before my actual review, I want to address those who are saying it doesn't work. If you have issues, there are a couple additional steps you may have to to perform. When you first insert the SIM, in my case, it took ~20 minutes to fully activate. I had to restart the phone a couple times during the setup process. During this process, I got a prompt to install carrier files (APN settings) so I could properly connect. For those with issues, it's possible that these APN settings didn't get applied and/or selected. You can get APN settings from Three. You also have to make sure your phone is unlocked which you may have to do through your carrier. I have T-Mobile and my phone had an app to do it automatically. Lastly, make sure your phone is compatible with European cellular bands. ---------------------- I got this SIM card for a recent multi-country European trip. I have T-Mobile which has free roaming in 130+ countries, but I wanted something faster than 128Kbps. The SIM worked wonderfully throughout the entire trip with my Galaxy S7. I can confirm that you can activate this card from the US, I activated it here the day before I left in case I had issues with activation. There is a 3 (Three) Android app which I couldn't download from the Play store because I was in the US, but I found an APK and sideloaded it. The app is important to have because it shows your remaining data/mins/SMS which I couldn't seem to find elsewhere. You get a UK number, 12GB of data, 3000 minutes, and 3000 texts which seemed to work across the countries included in the SIM plan. I texted back and forth with a Czech mobile and a German mobile with success. I also was in Turkey which wasn't included, and nothing worked because with this SIM you're paying for set data/minutes/texts; it's not credit based like other prepaid SIMs. I don't know if you can add extra credit but this SIM does not include extra usage credit. This SIM card gives you 4G max speeds as stated, no LTE. I was getting 2-15Mbps or so down, and 2-5Mbps up depending on carrier. It seemed like my phone would drop to 3G while the screen was off, and return to 4G when I turned it on. I had a lot of Edge in various rural areas, though I'm not sure if that was the actual networks or if my phone didn't have all the proper bands. For the data, you get 12GB but with how the description said it was billed, it sounded like you really got 9GB outside of the UK. When you enter a supported country, you get a welcome text from each country which states "...3p/min, 2p/text, 1p/MB..." but then goes on to say "You can use your add-on allowance at no extra cost, up to 12GB...". By my usage it seemed like I was actually getting 12GB of data in all the supported countries. I used my phone a lot, and still had 6.8GB of data left after 18 days of usage. I wasn't streaming audio/video, and had auto-updates turned off over mobile networks. Surprisingly, I was able to tether / use phone as a hotspot. I did this multiple times to connect my GF's phone and Surface Pro 4 throughout the trip. I didn't go nuts with it though in case it resulted in an account ban since it states that tethering isn't included. I was planning on keeping a list of supported carriers, but I forgot to continue the list after the Czech Republic, which was O2 I think. All of the networks performed more or less equally. If I go on another trip like this I will definitely be getting this SIM card again if it's available.

Worked great and easy to use. I have traveled to Europe many times over the last five years and always ended up paying $100-150 for phone service that I use very sparingly. This month I did a trip where I led 10 family members through seven countries and needed data regularly. It worked great. Easy to install once I arrived in London and worked seamlessly throughout the trip. Only downside is one can’t receive calls on one’s regular (US) line. That worked for me but may not for others. I took an ipad along so was still able to get text messages sent to my US phone.

I took a five day trip to London and, yes, could have accessed AT&T for daily rate and had my limited GB of data but WOW! This was so much better! I was able to run Google Maps constantly,, all my apps worked seamlessly, my e-mails came through without a hitch. And if I needed to call the States, I used WhatsApp or Viber without first having to make sure I had access to the internet. I also had a UK phone number while there to make and receive local calls/texts, which came in handy. If you have AT&T, remember to arrange in advance to have phone "unlocked," which it will only do if phone is fully paid off. I popped in the new SIM card when we landed at Heathrow. Restarted my iPhone and never missed a beat. When I landed back in the USA, I popped in the original SIM card. Be sure to bring a paperclip with you for opening the slot. And I kept the AT&T SIM card in an SD memory case in the UK. Just remember to keep it in a secure place so that you know right where it is when you land. In my opinion, this is the only way to go to Europe!

Bought two.... One for me and one for my girlfriend for a 2 weeks trip to Paris and Italy. I have a Galaxy..... Popped it in once we got to Paris and after a few minutes it was working. Girlfriend had an iPhone and had to do way more steps. After awhile she gave up. Card was more than enough for my 2 week trip.

Put this sim in my iPhone 6plus as soon as I landed in London. Set up an account and it worked immediately with no need to top up. When I went to Paris, it seemed not to work & I called the customer service number & they told me to turn the phone off and back on (duh, I should have thought of that). The sim immediately began working as soon as the phone came back on. I also traveled all over Germany, Italy and Austria. Usually didn’t even have to turn the phone off and on again to adjust to new countries. I never ran out of data in my 3 weeks of using as much as I wanted, Maps, texting etc. The only problem was I wanted to download their app to see my data usage but the Apple store wouldn’t let me download from the UK and their app isn’t on the US Apple store. But that obviously didn’t impact how the sim worked.

I have an iPhone 7 with Verizon and my travel partner has a Samsung phone (unsure of model and cell provider). Despite reading negative reviews that the card did not work for some people, my friend and I had no problem activating or using the cards. We traveled to London, Paris, a few cities in Switzerland, and Munich without trouble. One disadvantage was that we could only call in London, but the description had clearly stated this and we were aware upon purchasing. We previously downloaded WhatsApp before our trip and used this for texting if we got separated. I don't know what we would have done without this card and it saved me a ton of money. Note to travelers: During my trip I tried to install certain apps. Certain apps wanted to verify my identification by sending me a text, but I obviously could not receive a text on my American phone number while using the SIM card in Europe. My advice is to make sure that you download any apps you think you may want BEFORE using the SIM card if you think that phone number verification might be required.

Bought this to save money on data for my week long trip to London. Put the sim card in my phone once we landed, by the time I got off the plane my data was up and running. You'll get a few texts to guide you through the setup, super easy. I didnt use the texting or calling so I don't know if that part worked.

This SIM worked flawlessly in my iPhone 7 Plus in England, Scotland, Germany and France. I did not put it into the phone or activate it until I landed in the UK. Then I turned on the phone and I had service. I did find service to be spotty at times, but I think this is more a function of the carriers and the terrain. In 3 weeks of heavy use, I still had plenty of data left. Helpful tip: For seamless calling and texting, make sure the phone numbers in your address book are in international format (e.g. they contain the country code such as +1 for Canada and USA) before you insert the SIM.
