I am so happy I ordered this! I went backpacking on the north shore of Minnesota, the Bugs were thick! mosquitos and flies. Used scarf to hide from them. Thought I just liked the look of it, but very useful as well!

Fits as expected. This product is excellent for keeping the heat from escaping through the neck and coat area. I'm an avid hunter and hiker through all times of the year. In the winter time while hunting this kept me extra warm during those long sits. It always caused me to over heat on some drives through the woods "best strip down some layers of clothing". There are many other uses, but I use it mainly while hiking and hunting. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for something to retain the heat.

It's a Shemagh....hard to go wrong with one of these. But it's made nice....the color I wanted and it's big enough for the things I like it for. NOTE: It's 100% Cotton, so if you wash it in the laundry machine, I suggest you do it on Cold. I personally hand wash mine and let hang dry.

So versatile.

I've preached the usefulness of handkerchiefs in survival environments. This is a much larger and higher quality cloth that serves this same purpose. It's big enough to aid with warmth in cold environments. It could also serve as a headwrap which works to protect from the sun and dust in extreme heat, or the wind and snow in the cold. It can provide shade in the sun. It can be a place to sit on the beach. It can be soaked in water and help you to keep cool. The versatility of this item is virtually limitless. I keep a shemaq with me all the time because it weighs nothing and provides so many options.

Versatile

I have five of these in different colors and they are great. Very lightweight yet surprisingly warm in winter and great for summer use, especially to help keep the dust and pollen away from my head and face. I also use wet with cold icy water in summer to keep cool. FYI, I have black, black and white, green, brown and purple and you should definitely personal the purple and the green one be for use and washing as the Colts did leach out so beware when washing. The black and brown ones did not leach any color into the water when soaked overnight but still, soak first, just to be careful

OK, the blue one I ordered never came (I got a black one instead, which I returned). But the green one is indeed gorgeous and is everything I hoped for. I especially like that the texture provides a lot of friction between surfaces, so it is easy to drape/tie/arrange and have it stay that way. I have not tried washing it yet... am not convinced it would survive a harsh cycle in machine.

If there’s anything I learned while being in the military was most of your body heat is expelled through your head and neck it is paramount to protect these areas in extreme conditions. Love that this material is very comfortable, not itchy at all and is breathable enough to keep cool but no too much to not keep my head and neck warm. My wife and nephews liked mine so much I bought three more.

When I was in Israel a few years ago, I purchased a kafiyeh from a vendor. It was exactly what I wanted, and I enjoyed having it for years. Great Gift Idea

I purchased this for my little friend Austin. He is special needs and asked me if he could have mine. I have sentimental attachment to mine, I didn’t want him drooling all over it. So, I ended up letting him pick his own, and he chose this one because he liked the olive green color and the skulls. He’s had it for about four days now and has not taken it off.
