Are You on the Fence About These?

The Context: I needed a size 7W for trips to the stores and out in public with my daughter. This is a very simple, but somewhat stylish shoe for what is pictured. Pros 1) Comes in wide sizes. 2) Picked up a pair for about $15 bucks free shipping. 3) Came in smooth/soft leather upper! Surprised. 4) Because of number 3 they can be easily wiped off. Cons 1) The description has this advertised as a cloth shoe also. You might want to try to confirm what will actually be shipped. 2) They are white, no good for play outside and couldn't find other colors. 3) They are string tied and you know what that means for untrained toddlers. The verdict Pleasantly surprised because I thought I was getting a cloth shoe. For the price I found them for... no-brainer. Would I buy again: I plan to look for these again once she has grown out of the current pair. Hopefully the price will still be right.

Great summer basic

Every summer I end up buying magenta tennis shoes for my daughter, now nearly three. They just work really well with shorts and with cotton sundresses when she needs more coverage than sandals, and they match half her wardrobe. Unfortunately every summer the brand I bought the previous year is unavailable - hopefully this won't happen with these Keds. They're well constructed and she says they're comfortable. They might be sized a bit small because she's currently an 8.5 and these sneakers in 9 aren't loose like the 9s I've bought her in other brands (hard to find half sizes.) I've found Keds not to be overly generous with sizing, but they're soft and they give (she has white leather Keds as well) so it's not a problem. The lime green stripe around the rubber also adds some styling while still being unobtrusive.

Very very white sneakers

I was looking for some generic white sneakers, and the quality of these keds were unexpectedly good. First, the leather, sole trim, canvas, and shoe laces are all very very very white. I'm used to shoes being an off-white flat color, and people actually commented on how white my shoes looked when I first wore them. They're a 4/5 in comfort and I can wear them comfortably all day. I ended up with size 3 in big kids with extra wiggle room, and I normally wear a women's 4.5 or 5.

Keds are great sneakers.

Let's face it Keds has been a staple in the tennis sneaker world for decades. I wore imitation Keds when I was little because my mother was unable to purchase a pair. However my children had Keds all their life. Now my grandaughters. My grandaughter has a high instep in addition wide feet. Had to return the sneakers an exchange for a larger size, wider width. Keds are great sneakers.

Sung Around The Top

I purchased these for my daughter to wear as she danced in the Disney Parade. They fit the length of her foot but she said the felt a little snug around the top. They get dirty very easly, so carry shoe polish!

Keds tennis shoes

Very comfortable for a thinner shoe. They are not meant to be sturdy regular tennis shoes. More on the narrow width side but that is ok for me as my feet are small and narrow. I ordered a half size bigger because of another comment recommendation and it seems fine. They are great for Swing or LindyHop dancing.

Love my keds

Love my Keds. Very comfortable. I wear a woman's 6 and these fit the same. If your looking for arch support, these aren't for you.

classic Keds = wonderful

Super cute. My daughter said "OH these are beautiful! And Keds!? (My first pair of Keds!? Oh, they are so beautiful!" And then when I pointed out that they where leather also and they were easy to clean, she said "Oh! How wonderful! I can keep them clean, too!?" She was thrilled to get her first pair of Keds. I was a Keds kid. She is proud to become one, too. These shoes are classic and look sharp!

Same great style and workmanship

I loved these shoes as a kid and now my girls are in love. This shoe was suppose to be navy and the box was labeled navy but it was definetely the grey (I ordered grey for myself and it was the same.) I ordered navy for myself also and my navy was a true navy. I think it was just a mix up in the box but that was OKAY because my daugther preferred the grey:)

I wear these for swing dancing and they are great! Much better than the payless version

I wear these for swing dancing and they are great! Much better than the payless version. The payless ones have a much slicker bottom which is better for dancing but no arch support to speak of and so little cushioning my feet and legs would ache after a very short time dancing. The keds version has good arch support and cushioning. I put duct tape or suede on the bottom to make them more slick for dancing. I have a wide toe box and the fit is similar to the payless version - a little narrow for me but as I expected. Comparable to the keds I purchased in store, just cheaper.
