This stand is just what I wanted, to be able to swivel my 55" TV on a stand. It took about an hour to assemble, but part of that is just the awkwardness of handling the big TV and the stand is necessarily quite heavy also. When I got it all together I found the TV was not level. It was hard to see what the problem was and the several adjustments that were tried didn't help. I contacted the seller and they were very helpful and understanding and immediately sent replacement parts. I changed them, but that didn't help. I find the two vertical pieces that attach to the back of the TV are not parallel, which is the fault of the holes on the back of the TV. If you get one of these, or any other, I would check first that the four holes are exactly square. The various parts that can be adjusted give a wide range of height adjustment.

Took awhile to put together, read instructions carefully and take your time. It’s sturdy and nice looking. Be careful when ordering that you have the correct size you need. I didn’t realize the smallest was highlighted and ended up losing money to return it and purchase correct size. My TV is a 40 inch Vizio. One picture I attached shows how you can turn it easily.

As for the product itself, it matches the description perfectly and does a great job while being a little more compact and space-reserving than most TV stands. When I ordered it, I turned out to have 1 part missing and extra of another, but when I e-mailed the manufacturer they simply asked for the product model, shipping address, and Amazon order number (easily found under your orders) and sent me the missing part in a couple days without any hassle what-so-ever; which in my book is more important than getting my specific order with all the parts like normal, because it's just improbable for furniture and mounts manufacturers to not make a few mistakes with packages, so it's more important in how they follow up with those so customers can feel assured.

When you open the box you are overwhelmed with sealed bags with what seemed like an endless stream of every imaginable length and thread size of machine screw known to man or woman. It's not until you get to the end of the assembly that you realize this plethora of screws were not included for assembling the unit. Instead, you only need 4 of them depending on the thread size of the mounting holes in the back of your TV. Once you find the right thread size and length, you use only 4 of them to install the bracket to your TV. The bracket is quite ingenious in that once it's mounted to your TV, you just lift your TV and guide the slots in the bracket down onto the stand you just assembled. Then there are a couple of screws already installed by the company that you screw in to keep it in place, although gravity would probably be adequate. I was very impressed with this stand. It's well made and you can see a lot of thought went into its design. It's holding our 32 inch TV and looks great. I like that you can adjust how high the TV sets relative to the stand.

I debated about a swivel mount for a bedroom TV, but, instead of paying someone to drill holes into my wall I decided on a table swivel. I put this together in about 90 minutes. Although all of the screws and wrenches were marked and included, the instructions, as always, were slightly confusing by the time I got ready to mount the TV. But, once done, it looks very nice, feels very sturdy and works well. Enough swivel to change angles, but not so much that it is drifting back to midline.

I don't like wall mounted TVs and when my son replaced his TV with a larger one he offered me his old one which had been wall mounted. I found this "universal" TV stand by accident and I'm so glad I did. Received it in a few days. It was well packaged and I put it together myself (75+ yr. old woman). My son did put the TV on the stand because I was afraid I would be unable to do that by myself. It is great - Large hi-impact glass base and heavy enough to hold a 32" TV with no worries about it tipping. Well made and appears capable of holding larger TVs.

When researching a 40" TV to buy for our den it appears the standard base most TV's used to come with are now being replaced by 2 cheap plastic legs that provide very little flexibility when placing a TV on a table that is smaller than length of the TV. I wanted a bigger screen TV in our small scale den to replace a 27" flat screen TV but did not want to purchase a new longer table in which to set the TV on. Interesting to add, when purchasing our TV from Best Buy the sales person indicated they do not sell replacement pedestal stands for all flat screen TV's - only those larger than 60". Did some researching and located this universal TV pedestal stand on Amazon (#UT2003) for less than $30 and ordered it. The stand arrived within a couple days much to my surprise (thanks Amazon!!) My husband assembled it and said it was fairly straight-forward to assemble (the included directions were photos only and didn't provide him too much help). I may not have been able to assemble it myself based on the photos - just be aware that if you don't have some basic assembly experience (like me, a gal in her late 50's) you may have some difficulty. This stand is very sturdy and solid when assembled. Base of the stand is black heavy duty glass and it looks very classy. It's much better quality than I was expecting for the price paid. Our new 40" Samsung SmartTV fits on this stand perfectly; and the stand fits perfectly on top of our cable TV box which is 17" long; and this combo sits on top of our small corner pedestal table in our den. In the attached photo the TV stand fits in so well that it may be difficult to see. The combined weight of the TV stand and TV are not too heavy on the cable box and there is still room on top of the cable box for ventilation. There are 3 heights you can choose from when placing your TV on the stand. We placed ours on the lowest setting and it's absolutely perfect. We have no qualms about the TV tipping or falling off the small oval corner table we have the TV placed. Just remember to complete the final step of assembly which is to "lock" the TV stand after placing TV on the stand with the 2 set screw brackets that are enclosed. This stand can also swivel adjust to better angle your TV in the room. Highly recommend this product if you want to ditch the cheap legs that come with most TV's now and revert back to a more traditional (sturdy) stand that will provide more flexibility when placing TV on a surface that is not as long as the TV itself. Very happy with this purchase - Amazon comes through again!!

***AS ALWAYS, I PURCHASED THIS ITEM WITH MY OWN, HARD-EARNED MONEY AND PAID THE ASKING PRICE PLUS TAX. FURTHERMORE, I HAVE NO AFFILIATION WHATSOEVER WITH ANYONE WHO MIGHT HAVE MADE EVEN A SINGLE PENNY ON THIS TRANSACTION*** ...Just sayin'. We had an expensive, high-end TV that came with this feature and it completely spoiled us, and this universal stand is better in every way. It rotates farther, it can be put together at several different heights, It is handsome and sturdy, it is economical when you consider the cost of TVs that come with a swiveling stand, and best of all, you can keep it to go on every next TV, so you only have to buy it one time! 5-stars. And BTW... We have the largest recommended TV on it too, so I don't see why anyone is complaining about sturdiness. Everything you need is in the package to account for any "fine tuning" you might need to do to accommodate your particular set. Ours wanted to lean forward a little at first so we used larger spacers on the bottom mounting bolts than the top and this completely resolved any issues. You can also adjust for any side to side tilt you may experience by loosening screws, adjusting certain brackets and re-tightening things. We had to make adjustments but had no problems at all doing so. You've just got to exercise some basic common sense.

Just what I needed!! We recently got a Samsung 65" curved TV and the span of the TV legs was just as wide as the table my old 49" TV sat on. This TV stand simply reroutes those factory feet to a center base type stand using the wall mounting hook-ups. I was skeptical at first but this thing holds a 65" with no issues. As far as mounting it properly, I used the adapters that were INCLUDED with the Samsung TV, then I went to Home Depot and purchased 4 M8x50 screws for around $6 bucks and bam, ready to install. Only complaint would be the swiveling feature as I have small children and wish it would not move but I can easily see how this feature would be a plus for some. Still gave it 5 stars for that reason.

As others have noted, the plethora of parts looks overwhelming when you first open the package. However, most of them are not needed. I recommend going over all the instructions before you begin. There are two sets of parts - both divided into sequentially lettered and numbered smaller pouches. You use all of the parts from the first set of pouches to assemble the stand itself (very straightforward, if you take your time to study the diagram). The second set of pouches is full of many different screws of different sizes and lengths (sequenced in pouches from smaller to larger). All you need to do is find the ones that fit the back of your particular TV. You need just four of them (plus the provided spacers/washers) to attach two rails to the back of your TV. Using these rails, you then hang the TV on the stand that you have already assembled. You can hang the rails at a number of different points, giving you flexibility on how high you want your TV to sit. After deciding on the height that suits you, you then insert and tighten by hand two screw latches that lock the TV in place (to prevent someone bumping into the TV and knocking the rails off the stand). You end up with a very sturdy, well designed, and attractive stand that swivels from left to right to afford the best viewing angle. The small and centered footprint gives you a lot more flexibility for placing the TV on various sizes and types of tables than the widely spaced (and cheap looking) feet that come with a lot of TVs (including mine). I have a 40-inch TV, and I used the smallest stand (for which 40 inches was the maximum size). I am glad I did, as I have very limited space and the small size of the stand allows me to place the TV on a fairly shallow table. The smallest stand is easily sturdy enough to secure my 40-inch TV. And when you think about it, what looks like a negative at first (all those extra screws) is actually pretty thoughtful on the part of the manufacturer. They are saving you repeated trips to the hardware store to find the exact size and length of screws that would fit your TV. Overall, it is a terrific value for such a reasonable price.
