A nice tool for my job. It makes soldering so much easier, to a point that it is enjoyable. The magnifing glass makes viewing of the super tiny resisters easy. The stage is heavy enough to not tip when I put the iron in it.

Way better than generic version!

Worth every penny, and at $6 USD, it's a steal. This is WAYY better than the generic helping hands, the design is better, the clips on the generic type have nothing securing them except bent metal. These have a metal fastener that prevents the clips from coming loose. (Happened to my generic one.) The magnifying glass is good, can read the very tiny print on any IC, or chip. Make's seeing the colors on resistors easy peasy. Having a second soldering iron holder is helpful as well since you can keep it close to you rather than always putting it back in the original holder on your soldering unit.

Best Desk Lamp Helping Hand with Magnifying Glass I've Ever Had

I was always using a simple magnifying glass with a stand for gluing and soldering and this had two disadvantages: 1. I needed on hand to hold the magnifying glass or 2. when I was using the stand the distance to the object was not right With the flexible stand here it's fully adjustable and with the gator clamps I can secure many things. Awesome. Too bad I didn't find this earlier.

Perfectly integrated with my tools, as well as LED lights, allow me to work smoothly under low light conditions. Scaffolding can be hovered at multiple angles. The only thing is that the center of gravity is not very stable, so you have to fix it yourself with screws.

Kind of small, LEDs could be little brighter.. but that's nothing against the product..just my needs. Great package, great shipping, super well priced. You'll need 3 AAA batteries.

Extra hands!

This is like having extra hands! I got this mainly to hold my soldering iron but the the little hand holders are awesome! It is fairly stable considering the size. The magnifying glass is also sharp and helpful. I didn't realize when I bought it but it also has a light which is also helpful because I usually have to wear a head lamp.

Small, but useful!!

I was expecting the piece to be a bit larger, but for model work and small paint jobs, it is doing a fine job. The arms are super maneuverable, and the extra pliers have come in handy. The lit magnifier was a pleasant surprise and has made a few tasks all the more easy

So many uses

If you do any kind of hobby work or small crafting, you definitely want this! The light is very bright and the pinchers adjust 5 different ways (so far!). Its an amazing piece of eye saving equipment.

Dad loves the magnifier, he is big into reading old, very old, newspapers. He uses the magnifier to read the tiniest prints; old baseball photos. It helps him see old baseball stadium footage markers. The light is extremely helpful and bright; makes projects simple.
