This is nice if you want to watch a movie or read ...
I have a Honeywell and a Blueair air purifier. I prefer the Blueair over the Honeywell for a few reasons. The Blueair unit is a much quieter unit on its lowest setting. This is nice if you want to watch a movie or read a book. Also I notice a lot less dust in the living room with the Blueair unit. The only option that the Honeywell has that I would like to see integrated into the Blueair is a timer.

Cured our stinky stagnant air!!!!
I will start by saying that I have never purchased an air purifier before. I wish I would have sooner. I am incredibly impressed with this purifier. I’ve had it on for a month solid because I’m living in new house with some indoor air issues, mild and lots of dust. I have an allergy to both and my daughter had been coughing since we moved in. We also had a wicked stink in the house. Could not figure out where it was coming from. We plugged with in and within a few hours you could notice the air was cleaner. It smelled nice inside and felt lighter. It’s hard to describe. Within a week the pre filter was so coated with dust and crap I was in shock! I included a photo of the predicted after a week use. It is simple, works well and I have had zero issues so far. It looks nice as well. I would highly recommend it.

Breathe RIGHT, right away
This thing is easy on the eyes, very straightforward setup, you plug it in click a button and go on with your day. We have this in our bedroom, and within 4 hours there was a VERY noticeable difference in air quality, total 180 by the next day. As you walk from the living room into the bedroom, the odors disappear, it smells clean - almost sterile, and it feels like you’re breathing PURE O2 out of an oxygen tank. We no longer wake up with stuffy noses, we sleep better, and we don’t worry about the baby (who sleeps in our bedroom) breathing indoor pollutants. People comment on the size- we have it behind the baby’s chair and in our small room (10x12) it’s very unobtrusive. See photo. If you’re looking for an air filter like I was, if you want something that WORKS, is EASY, looks great, don’t waste any more time researching. Get this and start breathing right, right away.

Pollen be gone?
I bought this a couple of weeks ago (it's 3/22/18 today) and am so pleased with it that I bought the next smaller version also. This (Blue Pure 211+) air purifier is a tad large for my office/bedroom, but will be fantastic in the main area of my condo. I did a test run and smoked a cigarette in the office with the doors shut. After 15 minutes there was a slight odor, but I had the machine next to the wall, which wasn't the best placement, so after leaving it in a more central location for another 15 minutes, I found the odor was gone. I figured if it gets the smoke out it will take the dust mites and pollen out also? The unit is extremely quiet on speed 1 and increases through 2 and 3. (I'm wondering how this might affect my little dog now that I'm thinking of it, even on the lower end. Hrmmmm) I just ordered the next smaller version of this for my office and plan to use the larger (mid-size) unit in the open main/kitchen area. I plan to put the main area unit on one of those flat plant wheelies -- some built-in rollers would be nice (my garage dehumidifier has those, so it's not a weird option). The only negative I have is that the company does not provide an online UTube-like operation video. I found one guy's review that was helpful -- I never would have figured out that the outer pre-filter (comes in two colors folded in a plastic zip lock) fits like a stocking over the unit, and I'm still not sure if the shiny white thing in the bottom of the unit is the way it needs to be or if something goes there and is missing (I don't think so). The filter itself is black on the inside and fits squarely around the sides -- not intuitive for me anyway.

Our outside air quality is TERRIBLE. In the rooms with the other tower models
Using for the wildfire smoke in Santa Rosa, California. Per consumer reports, this is one of the top rated of all air purifiers. We have a bunch of the older tower models. Our outside air quality is TERRIBLE. In the rooms with the other tower models, they still smell smoky. In the room with the Blue Pure 211+, it smells fresh. Highly recommended! Note that they still haven't resolved the CARB issue for shipping to california. I was able to snag a secondary vendor when I bought it. I really hope Amazon fixes this soon, California is in dire need of these, and I've recommended them to all my friends and family.

High Performance, Great Value, No Frills
I love the Pure 121 Air Purifier with Particle and Carbon Filter. You may want weigh the pros and cons of this unit and also consider the total costs of ownership before making a purchasing decision, however. First off, filter replacement. It is recommended to replace the filter every six months, so you are going to need to buy two of these a year: Blue Pure 121 Replacement Filter, Particle and Activated Carbon, Fits Blue Pure 121 Air Purifier, by Blueair. That should run you about $140.00 a year on filter costs. There is also the concern of energy costs. The unit ranges from 30 to 61 W of power consumption. This is surprising low for a unit this size, so the Energy Star rating is well deserved. You could end up spending around $60 per year on energy costs if you run this unit around the clock. Any information on the warranty is completely missing from the included literature though. The box doesn't state the warranty terms and neither does the included manual. It only states "Warranty: Local Regulations" in the specifications. This isn't that comforting really, so estimating the cost of repairs or replacement is difficult. Considering the high price of the unit, I'd proceed with caution. But performance of this unit exceptional. The Blue Pure 121 really comes across as a commercial quality purifier that has the aesthetics to look great in a home. There is no frills here, no sensors, no auto-shut-off, nothing really but three speeds to select. The three speeds are selected by pushing that giant button on the front, and an LED will light up to three panels around the top circumference of the button to let you know the speed. The light is subtle and auto-dims after a few seconds. There are no other lights or indicators, except when the filter needs replacing. There are no beeps or sounds. The white noise of the airflow is very consistent without any hint of pulsing. At the highest setting, the unit is quite loud, but one could still engage in conversation without raising the volume of voice. The medium setting produces a nice pleasant ambient white noise. The low setting is very quiet and wouldn't interfere with any competing sound in the room. I like the pre-filter. It is sort of like panty-hose for your air purifier. It stretches on easily and is easy to remove and wash. Both blue and black are included. I really wish it came with the pink one though. On the highest setting, this unit can clean 680 cubic meters of space. This is a very high performance metric for a unit in this price range and physical size. When leaving the unit on high for a couple of days a very large open foyer of a home can be cleaned. This works especially well for open designed floor plans where kitchen odors can easily travel throughout the rest of the house. I can only highly recommend this product. My only hesitation is the total cost of ownership and the nebulous warranty details. But for example, say you purchase this unit and use it for three years. That is around ($350 + ($140 * 3) + ($60 * 3)) / (365 *3) = 86 cents per day. Not bad for clean healthy air inside your home.

So Far So Good
I realy like this air purifier for multiple reasons. 1) Nice look to it, with changeable colors for the pre-filters 2) Noticeably cleaner air within a few hours of use. 3) So far I have had it running for 2 weeks straight on either high or medium. I like the white noise it provides during sleep, but some people might not like that. If that is the case I would run on high during the day and low at night. I bought two smaller ones for each of my sons rooms. They have made a difference in the air quality as well. I immediately notice it when entering their rooms. 4) Best air purifier per consumer reports....since their studies show it works I feel a peace of mind in buying these. I will update if there are any problems with durability down the road! Only negative - the light when they are on is very bright. Not a super easy fix. I taped black electrical tape over a note card and then taped the notecard above the light and it covers it but I can flip it up to turn it off or on. Really wish the light went out after 5 mins and then back on if you touched it. Not a deal breaker but annoying if you need dark room to sleep. The notecard seems to fix it.

Dust/Dander Significantly Reduced! Amazing!
Best decision I’ve made recently was to purchase this. I always check Consumer Reports before I buy and this was their best buy overall for quality and lower cost of use over the years. So, I have two dogs who practically live in my bedroom with me and a big black dresser! Before getting this, I could dust that dresser, then hours later it would need another dusting! Now, it takes several days for dust to start showing enough that I want to dust it! Definitely proof that this unit is doing its job! I live in southern AZ desert, so very dusty place to begin with. I think I might have to replace the filter more often than some, but totally worth it to me! Five stars and more if I could give them! I keep it on low at night, and medium or high depending on how much moving around we’re doing during the day, whether the window is open, etc... If you have pets and dusty environment, you need this!

Blueair Pure 211+ Air Purifier visibly cleans and nice-level of white-noise
I ordered this unit for my bedroom (~250 sq ft) to purify the air I'm breathing in while I'm sleeping. When the product arrived, it was incredibly easy to assemble, and the packaging did a nice job of keeping the unit stable/safe. The instructions only require a few steps to get it setup, and the filter just slips right over the outside of the bottom of the unit. The unit itself isn't that large (as you can see from the picture), so it fit easily in my narrow space that I have next to the bed. To get it going, all I had to do was plug it in, and tap the button in the middle of the unit. It has 3 settings (low-medium-and high), but even the highest setting doesn't create that much noise relative to other air-purifiers and a/c units I've had in the past. As someone who suffers from mild ringing in the ears, the unit provides a really nice-level of white noise to fall asleep to at night - and even drowns out some of the sounds our neighbors in the apartment building make. From an efficacy perspective, within only a couple days I started observing a film of particulate on the fabric filter and was amazed at the amount of allergens/dirt/dust in my air - we often leave our windows open during the day, so it's nice to know we're filtering out some of the bad stuff. Cleaning it is really easy, you can either drop in the wash or lightly vacuum the outside of it. The unit is pretty lightweight so you don't need a second pair of hands to set it up or move it - so sometimes I move it from the bedroom to my living room when I'm in there during the day. I'm really happy with this air purifier and will definitely consider buying another one for the other rooms in my house!
