I purchased this product to make our 2008 BMW work with modern iPhones by connecting this product with a 30-pin to lightening adaptor, which is attached to the original BMW iPod Y-cable. It works beautifully with my iPhone X. What I was most impressed with was the quality of the cable and electrical terminals. The cable is thick, and the terminals feel strong. I was worried it would be flimsy, but it appears to be very durable, and works perfectly. (I'll change my review if anything breaks too easily.)

Just received today. Works great as an extension cord from my 30 pin to lightning adapter which I have then plugged into my iPad gen 4. Audio quality is great and charges the iPad at the same time as well.

I bought this to use with my new Osmo Pocket and was pleasantly surprised. It works awesome and keeps the phone at a safe distance. If you have a pocket and an iOS device, pick one up!.

I bought the previous version that Cellularize made of this lightning extension cable. I bought it to use with those dual charger/audio dongles that one now needs to simultaneously charge and listen to music now that Apple has nixed the 3.5mm audio jack (using this cable allows me to tuck away the bulky adapters and just treat the entire assembly like it's a single connection.) While the original product worked, it would generally fail after 2-3 months, because of the weak adhesive that was keeping the lightning connector circuitry in place. Even moderate daily use through unplugging and plugging the cable would eventually cause the previous cable to fail as the internal wiring was broken. I've just received my redesigned cable, and the revised design seems to have fixed every complaint I had with Cellularize's previous cable. The attachment is now a single molded piece, which has been slimmed down to fit more cases (I actually had to Dremel my OtterBox case to fit the previous one) and seems to be much more mechanically sound. Now that these issues have been ironed out, I'd highly recommend this cable.

Happy to let you know that your extension cable works very well. It handles both charging, as well as data transfer. No problems. It really addresses a hole which Apple has in their product accessories. Now for the reason for buying it: As you are probably aware, there is reasons why one would not want to have an iPad, laptop or iPhone on your lap etc when it is connected to WiFi. Even if one was to ask Apple if they had a product which would enable one to use their devices directly on Ethernet wired connection, instead of WiFi, they would say “No”. All one has to do is buy these 2 items: Lightning to USB3 Camera adapter – powered MK0W2AM/A ………………………………………………………………. $49 4 inch cable (Has an input for the Apple PS cable) USB3 male to Ethernet Adapter female MC704LL/A ………………………………………………………………..…… $39 4 inch cable With those short 4 inch cables, one wouldn’t want to have those connectors handing on eg the iPad, and that’s where your 10 foot cable comes in very handy! (Remember to turn off WiFi in Settings to use on wired Ethernet.)

I bought this for a very specific purpose. To extend the length of the Sennheiser ClipMic Digital Microphone https://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-ClipMic-digital-Recording-Microphone/dp/B00XIQCFWY/ and it worked flawlessly. I hope it holds up because the length (10FT) is perfect. I tested it for charging, just for fun, and it did not work.

It can be challenging to find quality third-party Apple products, especially at this price point. I needed an extension cable to use my Shure MV88 without removing my Otter Box Commuter from my SE. This cable fit snugly on both ends, the microphone was promptly recognized, and the stereo image was perfectly recorded. I use the Shure for field recording, and this cable makes it possible to do this without exposing my iPhone to the elements. Also, as a blind audio techie, this cable keeps my iPhone’s screen reader away from the mic, which is a major help when I don’t have headphones connected. I’m very impressed with Cellularize. Their products aren’t simply good for the money, they are simply great. They belong in the ranks of household name tech brands.

I have been looking for a solution to using a Shure MV88 external microphone with my cased iphone 5s. Unfortunately, the Shure product is designed to mount only to an uncased iphone. Until Apple and/or Shure figure this out, a lightning extender is in order. I researched/bought and tested Yaker and Niubee extenders without success. The physical connection on those products is looser and the iphone does not reliably recognize the external microphone - YMMV, i.e. those extenders may still work with other devices. By contrast, the Cellularize cable does provide a secure fit at both ends, and strong signal connectivity. You will have to figure out how to secure the cable and whatever device you plug into it. I use a wide rubber band to secure the microphone and cable to the back of the iphone. Follow user recommendations for best results: plug external device into Cellularize cable; then plug cable into iphone. Allow a (short) moment for device recognition. This product is highly rcommended.

I have an older iPod plug in my car. My 30-pin to lightning adapter cable is wearing out and I haven't been able to find a replacement at a reasonable price. This cable filled the bill. I plugged it into my lightning adapter, taped the connection so it stays put, and it works perfectly for audio and charging. Very pleased.

I needed an extension to mount my bad elf to my iPad for gps in my rzr. I tried several different manufactures cables that would not work; the bad elf app could not detect the bad elf. I tried this extension and it worked as expected. The app sees the bad elf and it works and tracks my adventures.
