My 4 year old loves this!

We have lots of gamers in our house. And my 2 ...and 4 year old try and keep up with their older brothers. This 2DS is perfect. It's durable and easy to use for kid and adult size hands. No folding which means no accidental snapping of hinges. It's like a Gameboy upgraded. You can use 3DS games in this 2DS, but it obviously won't display in 3D.

Very good. The whole reason I bought this was to be able to play Terraria on the go. If that is your plan, go to the Nintendo eshop to get it $20 cheaper. Now, about the 2DS. What it means by 2D is that it does not pop out at you. You still play the same games like Mario Kart. And when you are setting it up, tap "Okay" at the bottom, hitting A does not work.

I LOVE THE ITEM AND THE PRICE

I was between this one and the 2DSXL I make up my mind because of price because I want to buy a New 2019 ver. Switch, so in the meantime and also for my girl to play and to watch YouTube also is great, when I saw this one at that price plus a super Mario game that's all I need it, there are 3 differences between 2DS and the 2DSXL (screen size, slight speed % and a C button only on XL) is up to the buyer but I just Finnish METROID SAMUS RETURN and run flawlessly.

Fun game system!!

My 9yo son bought this for himself and he loves it! Things he likes about it are: You can download games. Its pretty cool how it comes with a game installed. It feels sturdier than a DS that opens and closes. PIctures/video look nice. Its fun to play!

Nice little handheld for the price

I bought one of these for myself after my 3ds xl stopped working. I can't afford to get another 3ds xl, but this was very inexpensive. It is definitely a downgrade from my old 3ds lx, but it plays all the same games my old ds plays and Nintendo was very cool about transferring my digital content over to my 2ds. It's really cool that this system comes with a copy of new super mario bros. 2, which is usually a $30 game if you buy it from the eshop. The screens are quite a bit smaller than on my 3ds xl, but for what I paid for it, that's not a big deal. It also only has one speaker, but if you use headphones, the sound will be just fine. The design of the system itself is quite nice. It fits into my hands very comfortably. Overall, it's a nice little budget handheld and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Great price for a console with a massive library of playable games and an amazing game already included. Bought this to play while my new 3ds is charging. If you dont own a 3ds, and dont want to spend a ton of money, the 2ds is for you.

My son got this with his own money. Loves it. It is a throw back to the 3DSI but you don't have to close it. The last one we had broke. Something in the "closing" feature broke the ability for it to work. This will eliminate all that.

great value

my 5 year grand chilp mastered this Mario, great machine

Nintendo stuff is quality.

Got it for my 5.5 or so year old daughter. She is no fan of the preloaded Mario game, but loves playing Mario Cart with me. Can definitely see her getting really into it. Didn't notice a lanyard or whatever to attach around your wrist. Usually would not care, but might have been nice for my little one.

Very capable for the price

My 4 yr old son loves his 2ds with Mario game. He can use it easily and it's durable. Well made and good price. I got 2 of these the Mario kart one and new super Mario bros one. For my twins. They watch hulu and Netflix and YouTube on them as well so very handy and capable little device. I would recommend to others. Came new and well packaged as well.
