This stand is great. It holds up my heavy law books, prevents the pages from turning, and is easily portable. I'd recommend it to any student or professional who does a lot of reading.

This book stand works as designed. It has multiple angles and the arms are strong enough to hold the pages open if you need to. I use it for my studies to keep my neck better aligned to avoid neck pain. I was happy that it easily holds my book that is just over 1.5 inches thick and when opened I don't need to use the arms. The bamboo is pretty and the design sleek. I really like it in every way.

I am so very impressed with this book stand. It is everything I had hoped for, but better. The wood is very attractive and finished very smoothly. The metal clips that hold the pages are sturdy and seem as though they will last a long time. Also, the tips of the clips have a plastic 'sheath' so as not to damage the book. The stand is a little smaller than I imagined it would be and, as it turns out, I'm happy about that. It will hold small paperback books easily, but also larger books like a cookbook. I am just so, so happy with this purchase - I wish I had bought this item years ago! If you read at a table or with a bed tray, buy this item today! You won't regret it.

I've never had a cookbook stand before. Why have I never had a cookbook stand before?!?!?! You know that dance of trying to hold a cookbook open while keeping all the flour on your hands away from it? Have you ever tried to balance two cans (or whatever else is handy) on a book so that you can still see the recipe? Have you ever spun around your kitchen, looking for your phone for the fourth or fifth time that recipe, just to verify that you needed a teaspoon and not a tablespoon? Have you ever tried to prop a floppy printout on a mixing bowl? Well, maybe I'm just a real-life informercial "before" but I sure struggled with all those and more. This thing has earned a permanent spot on my very limited counter space (although it folds up easily to a slim shape, so it's easy to tuck away). The range of angles is perfect for anyone sitting- or standing-height. The bamboo is beautiful and the metal accents are subtle. The black "hands" are perfect for holding open books that range from a thick textbook-y tome to a small magazine. It's easy to rest a phone, iPad, book, sheet of paper, whatever, for reference. I've used it for about a month, but it feels solidly built and like it'll last for years. It better, because I'm in love.

Love this stand! It is adjustable so you can alter the angle you’d like to view your book and the page holders work great. Exactly what I was looking for. Well packaged and arrived on time, it now has a permanent home in our kitchen!

I really like this book stand. It is well made, heavy and smooth. The size is for a regular book. My son draws the book closer to his eyes when he is tired of holding the book. I am afraid it will be bad for his eyes. Now he can put the book on the book stand to read. He puts his Ipad on this stand as well. It will always keep a good distance. I hope this will prevent him from being near sighted.

When watching a documentary on Korean students I saw that a lot of them had book rests like this one and thought it was a great addition to my study routine. Love that it frees up a lot of space on my dorm room desk or library nook desk; makes more room for my library or to write. The book rest might seem small, but it can hold large textbooks and even binders! The metal arms on the front are very strong and are really great at holding heavy or thick textbooks, or textbooks with really tough spines. I really recommend this to students or anyone who reads a lot! Best purchase you can make if you have an intense study course!

Great tabletop music stand. I live in a very small space This little music stand is wonderful because it sits on top of the TV tray and it just is usable as a portable music stand that you have to assemble every time it fits very well on the coffee table and I can play my recorder whenever I feel like it without any fuss. It’s inot quite as big as some of them that I’ve seen but the price is perfect.

Got this for my dad and he loves it! Easy to use for both his iPad and cookbooks! Has the little arm things to hold the pages open and the back is adjustable so you can change the angle! Folds flat for easy storage as well!

I initially bought this to have an easy way to keep my cookbook open to reference recipes as I was cooking, but I am also currently studying for some professional exams and it has come in SO HANDY to display my study guide books (which are massive and a pain to keep open to the proper page). The flexible arms that hold each page open are great and it can hold even very thick-spined books like my exam review manual or very large cookbooks. There are a lot of different notches in the back to allow you to adjust the viewing angle. The only critique I would have of this product is that it does not lock in to the notches in the back, so if you are picking up the stand and moving it to another spot you will have to re-insert the metal stand into the appropriate notch. Would definitely recommend, and would buy again.
