After going over reviews of all of the fountains - for months - this one came out and I am glad I waited! EDIT: I found the perfect way to 'safely' clean this while keeping biofilm/mold growth away! Get a bottle of Hypochlorus Acid (CleanSmart or Aquavert). Break it down, spray the pieces, wait 15 minutes then rinse and wipe everything. Perfect and 100% non-toxic way to keep it sterilized and clean! (you can also buy a Hypochlorus maker like I have, check my other reviews) My cat likes the fountain without the top flower in it (medium water flow). This has 3 adjustable ways to have the water flow. No flower, middle flower, top flower. My cat loves it with just one flower in it. To assemble this is very simple but it comes with no instructions and may puzzle you at first.. Unbox it, place the pump into the center of the water container in the slots designed to hold it. Fill it about 3/4 of the way with cold water and place the large green piece in lining up with the indentation about the edge. Now rinse off the filter in water and shake it. Place the filter plastic side up into the larger green piece and push it down. Next push in the flat stage one. This is the high flow piece and from here add as many pieces as you t need to get the flow you desire. Plug it into a USB port or wall USB power supply (included) and you are good to go. The power use of this is very very tiny since it can be powered USB. Probably less than 2 Watts. Once a week re-fill it with fresh water and rinse off the filter. Once a month scrub it with soap and water and replace the filter. I found my cat drinking at least twice as much water with this! Overall this is highly recommended..

We've had the version without the flower for several years, and have loved how easy it is to fill and to clean. We have 3 cats, and one of them, Nimitz, is a Maine Coon who loves to play with water. We can't use anything with a bowl of sitting water because give him 5 minutes and it is all on the floor. The Catit water fountain has been perfect since it lets them have access to water without a bowl of sitting water for Nimitz to play in. I decided to upgrade to this one because Nimitz prefers drinking out of the sink rather than their water bowl, no matter how clean it is - I think the spouts of water appeal to him. I put this out and Nimitz immediately came over to investigate, and proceeded to drink from it like he'd been denied water for days (of course he hadn't). In typical cat fashion he insisted on drinking from the spout furthest away from him. I'd say it was a huge success! Update Sept 2016 - the cats still love the water fountain. I thought I'd update and add that it is dishwasher safe - we've put it through the dishwasher a couple of times now and it comes out fine. I put the flower part on the top rack but the rest has to go in the bottom rack since it is too big, but it washes fine with no warping or anything. Love the easy care! Update Aug 2017 - fountain still looks and works like new! I still regularly put it through the dishwasher and it has held up great. Update Oct 2018 - fountain still going strong. I do still put it through the dishwasher once a month without any problems.

All 5 of my fur babies love this little guy. They took to it immediately, no hesitation at all. Even though they have never had a fountain to drink from before. The pump is whisper quiet and provides a nice flow over the little flower. The filter needed rinsed out after a week, but like I said I have 5 cats, so cat hair is pretty much a seasoning in my house.

Just got it today. Looks adorable and works great. Cats were immediately attracted to it. Plus the Catit came in a cardboard box with pipes printed on it and holes to cut out. Best free cat treat puzzle ever!

Cats aren't prone to drinking enough water, and they also abhor getting their whiskers wet. This fountain, recommended by a friend, was a huge hit from the moment I set it up and solved both of those problems. My kitty now guzzles water any time she wishes, which is definitely more than before (and yay, I don't have to turn the sink on for her now, which was the only way she'd drink water). This is fantastic!

I adopted a 6 month old kitten from a rescue group and I noticed that he did not want to drink much water from his bowl. I discovered that he loved to drink lots of water if I turned on the faucet. This fountain was the perfect answer. He absolutely loves it and is drinking lots of water now. My other cat also loves it. Neither have went back to their bowl of water since I put this fountain out. The fountain is very quiet and holds a lot of water. It is cute and does not take up a lot of space. I highly recommend.

So far so good. Pretty quiet too. Had to try a fountain where there isn't a bowl full of water that the cats can play with. One of our cats would drain the whole tank by playing, and flood the area. My gripe is that you can't tell how much water is in it. Either the bottom should be made of clear plastic, or there should be a clear strip where you can see the water level. Still pretty early in usage, but hopefully we've found a keeper. Update 11-7. All our cats are drinking from the new fountain, and so far no crazy spilling or playing that would cause a flood. We were previously using the Drinkwell Platinum, which was working well (but louder for sure), until one of cats went crazy, and would flood our kitchen. The design problem with the Drinkwell (whether the pump is running or not), is that if a cat desides to play with the water bowl, water will keep coming out till the reservoir is empty. That can make a big mess. Conversely with the Catit, no water is available without the pump. I guess that could be bad if you were away on a trip, and the power went out. But in our case, this design seems to be a better choice... At least for now. Update 1-31-16 Still loving the new fountain. We however have a "special" cat who had a whole routine at the fountain. We actually had to workout a latch system, so he wouldn't pull away from wall and stretch the power cord. When he comes up to the fountain he also likes to push/nudge on the flower portion. As you can see from the picture, we had to tape the lid down. But I also wish that the green center lid and flower attached more securely. If he pushes on those, they can come out from how they are suppose to seat inside the fountain, and disrupt the flow of water. So bottom line, it would be nice if all the pieces attached more securely to the top, and the whole thing could be heavier too, so it's not as easy for the cats to move.

----- UPDATE 09/16/2018 ----- I've now gone through an entire box of filters and all of them worked perfectly! The filters did their job and never caused the water to become cloudy or discolored. I'm just about to place an order for another box of replacement filters. ----- ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW ----- So far, these filters are working great! They appear to be exactly like the original filter that came with my Catit fountain. Each filter comes individually wrapped. The top is a soft, woven mesh. The base is a rigid plastic with four chambers that each contain a portion of the filtration process. I recommend thoroughly rinsing your replacement filters before putting them back in your fountain. This will ensure that any dust or debris left behind from the manufacturing process is safely removed and will not harm your furry loved one. Although I’ve only just started using my first replacement filter, I will come back and update this review as I continue to monitor the performance of the filters and the water quality.

After buying both the catit senses filter and knock off filters and being severely disappointed at both I came across these triple action filters. The first filter I received when I had just purchased the catit flower fountain lasted waaay longer than advertised but afterwards I couldn't find one that lasted a week! Before the week was over the fountain would always flood. Lo and behold catit triple action filters! It has now been 8 days and the fountain looks great! No flooding! They advertise one filter lasts one month so I'll come back to review if it doesn't... now excuse me I'm off to perform my weekly fountain cleaning!
