Phone fell off my moving SUV and survived because of this case

Bought this case, thought it was cute and liked the idea of the corner bumpers....had NO IDEA how much it would protect my phone. Hate to admit this but my phone fell off the top of my car on a busy street (yes drove away with it on the top of my car), I have an SUV. Where the phone fell i had accelerated from a right turn onto a busy street and went to about 30 mph pretty quickly and my phone completely survived with barely a scratch. Aside from the fact that my phone should have been run over about 1000 times by the time we were able to find it (about 2 hours later), my phone survived in my opinion, thanks to this case. Made a believer out of me. The case got a little dinged up on the corner which I believe is where it hit so I’m going to replace it with th exact same one, but this case saved my phone 100%. Buy it if you like the look

Great case - so far my go to case for the X

I bought a few cases for my X before even getting it, and this is the one I've had on it the longest. First, the X is a great looking phone and the transparency of the case shows it off. I like that. Second, the case is just "sticky" enough to keep a grip on the phone for one handed use and feel confident it won't slip. This includes the dreaded slip-out-of-your-hand-when-removing-from-pant-pocket problem. It glides easily out of even the tightest pockets, and stays in your hand. Third, the corners of the case backside are imperceptibly raised such the when you place it flat on the table, face up, they form little feet to keep the case off of the surface. This provides extra protection for the camera and also keeps the case from getting scratched from laying it down all the time. What a GREAT little detail. Awesome Spigen! The screen side provided just enough of a lip to prevent the screen from touching the table when played screen side down. But the lip isn't too high to detract from the form factor with the phone. I have been fortunate enough not to have dropped the phone, so I can't speak to it's stated protection. The company says (and stamps on the case) that it is designed in Irving, California and manufactured in South Korea. An interesting choice, and better a US ally than China.

So happy I got this rose gold case. The clear back shows off the phone perfectly. I drop my phone all the time and it protects it well. Paired it with a glass screen protector and I was all set. UPDATE: the rose gold fades into a Brown over time

Fits the iPhone XS

I initially received my iPhone XS in late September and immediately began searching for cases. I was alarmed at the number of cases I looked at that professed to fit the iPhone XS but when I read the user comments, several reviewers warned that the case would fit the iPhone X but due to the difference in the camera depth, it would not fit the iPhone XS. I figured I would wait some time for manufacturers to fit the iPhone XS. I ended up waiting a couple of weeks and I am very glad I did. I selected the Spigen Ultra Hybrid case and it seems to fit my iPhone XS perfectly. Here are some thoughts/observations: 1. The case fits the iPhone XS very well and the buttons (see pics) seem to align perfectly. 2. There are not cut outs for the buttons (although there is one for the ring/silent button). The buttons are easy to push and the phone seems to react very responsively to the buttons on the case. 3. Wireless charging works fine with the case on. 4. The rear facing camera is protected by the case. 5. The design of the case is "minimalistic"-not too thick but thick enough to give me confidence that it can protect my phone. Overall, while I have only had the case for a few days, I am quite satisfied with it and feel confident that it meet my needs.

Six months of abuse, still attractive and sturdy

I purchased the completely clear, IPhone X case about six months ago and have dropped my phone plenty of times. Not a scratch on my phone and the case still looks pretty good. If you want something sleek and fairly stable that still shows off the design of your actual phone, this is a great case to consider. I work in an office environment, but have taken this everywhere I go, including camping. If you want a case that you can take to battle, this may not be enough protection. But, for the typical civilian user, I have no complaints. I will say that after six months of CONSTANT use and abuse, I am choosing to order the same case as a replacement. It has been dropped enough times that I am worried about having a case that was dropped “one-too-many” times. Plus, it looks to have started to yellow (just slightly) around the edges. Because it’s a clear case, it does have some very fine surface scratches that only I notice. But, I know they are there. On top of that, it’s fairly inexpensive, so it’s not like I am dropping much money purchasing a new case for purely aesthetic reasons. One reviewer noted that lint sometimes enters through the bottom holes on the case (open speakers and cable port), which is true. But that is a phone design issue (bc it happens without the case on the phone, too). I wouldn’t say it’s been a big deal. When I have noticed any lint starting to collect, I just blow in the holes I truly don’t believe this is an issue unique to this case. Any case with open vents is going to deal with specs of lint that enter open holes when you shove it in and out of your pocket all the time. I highly recommend this phone case. I’ve looked and cannot find something as durable or attractive. For me, this is the next best thing to a naked phone.

AWESOME quality and finish

This product has AWESOME quality and finish. I am happy that this will keep my iPhone X Silver safe from scratches and drops. I deliberately bought the Space Crystal version to go with the silver phone as I think it looks better than the Crystal Clear - giving it closer to the iPhone 6/7 Space Gray look. Also, the discoloration due to oxidation after some time will most likely not be visible in this color. I am really happy with the result so far, let's see how it holds over time. Update 2018: I dropped my phone during the holidays in an amusement park. This case saved me $1000!!! No damage to phone at all.

Case have been redesigned for XS

I was hesitant upon receiving my order after reading reviews that the case did not fit the XS camera lens. I emailed Spigen to inquire about the case. They replied back saying they have redesigned the case to fit the XS. I guess Spigen listened to the complaints, realized their mistake, and updated the case. I received the case today and noticed that there was a sticker on the cover that said ‘New iphone’. I tried it on my XS and the camera now fits. The cut out is just a tiny bit too big towards the top of the lens but not big enough to be an issue. The cut out on the bottom speaker area is still too big on the left side but I’m assuming they made it this way so that the case is still compatible with the X model. It also covers just a tiny bit of the first speaker port but not enough to block it. There is also a raised lip around the screen in the front. You can feel the bottom lip sometimes when you swipe up. Overall, this is a good quality case.

Reformed phone case hater.

First off let me say I am a hater of cases, so much so that I’ve always played Russian Roulette with my iPhones every time I took them out of my pocket. I was planning on doing this with my iPhone X since I purchased AppleCare for the phone. Everyone who owns this phone needs to realize that if you break the back glass on this phone, the repair cost is over $500 from Apple! Even with AppleCare, the cost climbs to $99 if you break that precious back glass. This alone made me reluctantly shopping for a case. I came upon this case after hours of researching the different cases available for the iPhone X. I was looking for a minimalist design that afforded enough protection while not intruding on the elegant beauty of this phone. I found that with this case. The one thing you will find about the iPhone X is it is slipperier the previous iPhones. I always felt like I was going to drop it if I did not have a firm grasp on the phone. The new stainless steel case along with the seamless edges from the glass to the case just makes this phone feel like it’s going to slide out of your hand every time you handle it. All of that is eliminated when you put the case on the phone. This case fits so well around every corner and button of the iPhone that you literally think it was manufactured by Apple at the factory as part of the phone. The crystal clear case actually accents the beauty of the stainless steel edges of my phone. My phone no longer feel slippery, while the minimalist design still makes it easy to slide it in and out of my pocket. There is enough material on the edges of this case, that I’m confident if I dropped it in a parking lot, I would not suffer any damage to the phone. You might scratch the case, but that’s about all. There’s a lot of peace of mind knowing you’re replacing a $13 case instead of incurring Apples insane repair costs! You can see the air cushion technology built into the corners of the phone case. They are unintrusive little air pockets. Think of them as tiny air pillows! As this review comes from a person who absolutely hates phone cases, I am now a believer in this one. I actually would buy it even if I was not worried about dropping and breaking the phone. Yes, it is that good! The phone actually looks and feels better with it on! Plus, the peace of mind it affords me is indispensable.
