I have a 2018 15'' MacBook Pro. I tested every port they all work great, including the HDMI. I have had it a week no issues so far. All plugs male and female feel good and have good connections. I also love the space grey color that matches my mac. If anything changes I will update.

Great Design, well thought out.

Perfect, great price. I had an adapter that had two rigid connectors plugging into the Mac Book Pro (MBP), I always wondered with that double connector adapter if the MBP connectors were being stressed, normal devices that plug in to the MBP only have single connectors. I prefer the single connector design, and having a short flexible cable also reduces the stresses on the MBP connector.

I recently bought a new MacBook Pro and needed a multi port adaptor. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the material of this product—the metallic like weight gives it a nice gravita and it stays “put” nicely when connected to the computer. I especially like that it has multiple memory card and USB slots. Highly recommended.

Fast Transfer, Quality build, Super Portable

Perfect adapter for my XPS 13. Portable, solid construction, highly recommend it. My main use for it is the Card Reader, for transferring files from my still camera. Blazing Fast transfer! A nixlce surprise to say the least. I might just buy a couple more for my friends and family.

Awesome Hub

This works with my Macbook Pro 2016. It works!!! The HDMI works!!! The HDMI even worked on a 7-year-old HDMI TV! The USB ports work and have some kind of magneticness to them which give a tight connection. I do not have a card so the card reader is untested. The unit is high quality and a good build. It slips nicely into my bag unlink the chunky square dongles. While I am not a dongle fan, this dongle worked unlike the other two I returned! This is A GOOD ONE other than I did not test the card reader. I am giving this 5 stars because what I need works.

Perfect solution for the change in ports and lack of card reader in the new MacBook Pro.

My husband and I have new Macbook pro laptops and they do not have the standard USB ports or card reader slots. As we are amateur photographers, we need these to plug our cameras into the computer to charge or transfer photos or the card reader to transfer photos for the cards in our cameras. These are perfect for what we need and are small and compact to slip into our laptop carrying cases. Great product and the price was amazing. I had already bought a simple plug in card reader from Apple for $48 before I saw these.

Very high quality and works like a charm

This may sound like I am on the tech version of pimp my ride, but I currently have my 15'' Macbook Pro 2018 connected to this hub that's then connected to my Dell 2410 monitor and to a USB dock that's connected to the USB hub on the monitor and daisy chaining my way through an external hard drive, USB speakers, a logitech gaming mouse, logitech keyboard, a USB ethernet adapter, and somehow it's keeping up with it all without a hitch. I've got a few pictures I've shared of my current setup so you have an idea of how it's currently working and everything works great. Physically the adapter is stylish, with the brand on top, made of metal on the external housing with a thick cable end connecting to the actual laptop. The USB C connector part of it definitely feels like a tight fit and I had to definitely put in a bit of effort to get it to have a nice seal, but so far it's been working flawlessly. The USB ports work, the card reader works, and the HDMI port works. I've tested this with my 1920x1200 Dell monitor and it runs at 60hz, and with a Sony 4k XBR television and it runs that just fine at 3840 x 2160 at 30hz as advertised. I don't know of any cheaper adapters that offer HDMI 2.0 output for 4k at 60hz, but I'm sure they are out there for those that need it - this just isn't that product. I did a lot of comparison shopping with different products and this once fit my bill for offering a decent mix of things in a portable package and reasonable price. I use this mostly when my laptop is docked, but it fits great into my bag for on the go use as well. All in all I highly recommend this product and kudos to the company for offering something high quality at a great price.

Great product with real substance

Using HP Spectre 13 as my laptop. Great product, it feels sturdy and weighted, it's got some real quality/substance to it. Aesthetically really pleasing and the function is perfect. *ATTENTION WIRELESS MOUSE USER* One problem I have is that if you plug your universal receiver in (I'm using Logitech MX Perfomace), you WILL get a sluggish/intermittent lag/freeze while you're using it. It's a shame that we have this problem with such a great product and it's not this product's fault about the Mouse lagging issue, now I have to use my USB-C extender to use my wireless mouse to avoid this issue. still, 5/5 for this product for what it does.

So far so good!

I've never heard of this brand before and the reviews are a mixed bag. But the price was reasonable so I decided to give it a try. So far so good. My laptop didn't come with a HDMI slot or a full sized SD card slot. Being a photographer, these are both things are important to me to work on a larger screen and import files off my camera cards. I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality. The adapter is made of metal and firm, feels sturdy and not plastic. Of course only time will tell with build quality. I've tested all the ports and they work fine. Speeds are on par with pure USB speeds with slight variations which is within deviation or error. My external Samsung T3 SSD I gets 430m/b read and around 400 writes on direct USB-3. With the adapter I was able to get around 420/400. While using the adapter to run an HDMI 1080 external TV and the Samsung drive, I got around 420/390. The variation could be due to SSD temperatures. I will do a cleaner test soon. Advantages: - Very small and compact. Smaller than I expected. - Build quality is very good and sturdy. Metallic body is very rigid. - 2x USB and SD card reader run at full speed from testing Disadvantages: - Body does get hot. Even when plugged in with nothing attached, it is warm to the touch. Probably can't keep this plugged in 24/7 - Metallic body is good for cooling but also hot to touch. Temps are not scalding but definitely warmer than you'd expect. - I wish it had an extra USB. It looks like it could fit another one. But not a huge deal.

A lot of features in small package but...

Initially, this little adapter was the answer to my prayers. It had everything I needed as a mobile photo/videographer with Micro, SD and HDMI out. The unit is sleek, compact and made of aluminium, giving it a really solid feel. After a few weeks, it started giving me a bit of trouble so I reached out to the seller and am awaiting a replacement unit. The first one ordered would constantly connect/reconnect to my USB-C, often times interrupting file transfers and the HDMI out was glitchy and shut off and on constantly. I will update this review once the replacement unit is tested and confirmed non-defective. *UPDATE* seller kindly replaced the defective unit and it's working well! Very pleased with my purchase and sellers communication.
