I recently purchased two of these bookshelves as I am an avid reader and have over 250 books. The last bookshelf that I purchased earlier this year from another company started sagging in the middle and so I ordered these ones. This shelf was so easy to assemble and anchor to the wall. They look fantastic in my house and they are beyond sturdy. The shelves screw into the frame. I also received my order earlier than expected, which was a great surprise.

I love how this looks. When I first put it together, it seemed a little short for the space, but as soon as I put decorative items on the top shelf, it looks perfect height for our 8 foot ceilings. I love how the faux wood shelves look. Its hard to tell from a photo - it could have looked cheap. But in person they look great. I'm using mine as a room divider to visually separate two living spaces. I put a lamp on the top shelf and the extra height makes it light up the space beautifully. I made the mistake of putting all decorative items on this bookcase, and my daughters said it looked like I was trying too hard, being too overstated. So they changed it to about half books, a few plants, a couple framed family photos, that lamp, and half a dozen decorative items. Much better. Love it.

There are not a lot of reviews on that product, so I felt like maybe it was a bit of a risk to buy it (I've been burned on Amazon before, and if you are reading this review I bet you have too), but I took the risk and was very pleasantly surprised. This is a fantastic overall product at a fantastic price. The shelves are MDF, but the wood veneer looks great. All the screwholes have threaded inserts which makes assembly easy and contributes to a very solid overall feel. I had no problems to report, but Homisso's customer service emailed me to make sure I was satisfied and they seemed pretty interested in making sure I was satisfied.

I really am happy with this purchase. Product arrived packaged well. It was easy to put together by myself. The instructions tell you to not tighten the hardware until fully assembled and for some reason I thought that only applied to the frame, but it applies to the shelves as well. If you tighten the frame all the way the holes for the shelves will not align. Even with that misunderstanding on my part and having to loosen the frame hardware to fasten the shelves, this bookcase was still assembled in 30mins. Definitely looks more expensive than what it is.

'Constructed' this yesterday in about 90 minutes....easy, peasy. Am very impressed with the look and the stability. And, a lot of my 'stuff' is now on display...including books and study materials. Perfect fit for my wall space. Be sure to measure your space because it is not a small bookcase. BTW, I live in Hawaii and was able to get this shipped without paying shipping...that does not happen often.

Absolutely love this bookshelf. Great quality, easy to put together!

Everything arrived unmarred and with all the necessary pieces. Was easy to assemble, took my fiance and me less than an hour. It took me longer to decide what to put on the shelves and how to arrange them. Shelves aren't real wood. I prefer these solid, but believable-looking fake wood shelves rather than cutting down existing trees for my shelving pleasure. Even without using the wall brackets, the shelving unit feels very secure and unlikely to fall over unless we have a really bad earthquake. And at that point, the walls of my house will have probably collapsed anyway.

Actually, I'd give it 5 stars for execution, four stars for design. IMPORTANT: don't tighten the bolts until it's fully assembled. The packaging included 3 extra bolts, which is good because the included hex wrench didn't fit a couple of them. Design aspects that could be improved: 1. Provide for adjustable height shelves. The welded shelf brackets provide valuable strength, but if you want to store paperback books on the unit, there's significant wasted height between the shelves. 2. Make solid wood shelves available. I acquired this unit as a replacement for other bookshelves that were flooded during Hurricane Harvey. Their particle board pieces turned to mush after being submerged. If flooding occurs again, any submerged shelves here, which are also particle board, will collapse, too. But the metal frame will survive to support the above-water shelves. Solid wood is flood resistant, and looks better, too. 3. Make the top bars of the frame 3 inches higher. This would look very nearly as good, and allow for the installation of a top shelf with room for paperback books below, when the size of your collection exceeds the number of shelves in the unit. I like the open frame design a lot, but I need those additional features, and will probably buy more traditional wooden bookcases in the future.

Definitely loving the 'look' of this piece. It is a fairly solid build quality, and easy enough to assemble with the provided tools. Sure, it is not actually real wood, but the veneer is the best looking (and feeling) fake that I've ever seen. It really feels old school, even though it is actually modern construction. So it really seems like you get value from these shelves. (probably best for displaying things, not so much for books. But it would hold books no problem. Just a subjective thing.)

This book stand looks awesome. The shelving is sturdy however because it’s not a leaning bookshelf you will need to attach it to the wall with provided braces to prevent tipping. Assembly is easy.
