We have been using the BCST 20 to scan automotive barcodes for taking inventory of new cars for years and needed a Bluetooth solution to scan directly to tablets for real time inventory and the BCST 70 fits that bill perfectly. It saves time and prevents errors when recording the 14 digit VIN numbers. It really makes my employees and customers happy to have the quick, error free scans. They are perfect when working with anything from a Smartphone to an Android tablet to a laptop or even a desktop computer (if they have bluetooth or your can connect by USB) because of the offline mode. This is because it scans not only in real time but also has an offline mode allowing you to scan all day long and then dump all your scans into the computer at the end of the day.

Easy to setup. Easy to attach to the rest of the system. Easy to read even faded UPC codes. Speeds up the entire inventory management system. Extremely affordable option for a replacement or a new system.

The advertisement stated that a customization prefix could be set. The documentation only contains instruction for setting up several prefixes and then says to down load more prefix/suffixes from their site, but their sight doesn't include and such documentation. The scanner itself is very nice. Update: Support emailed me back (within 5 hours) with steps to do a firmware update. This allowed me to program the scanner as needed. I'm upping this rating to five stars.

Great scanner, well made, good design scans barcodes from Dell that are NOT 2D into a spreadsheet into android using Bluetooth on a lower end tablet with no problem. However, I ended up needing a solution that does 2D bar codes because that is what Dell tends to put on newer monitors, but not PCs for some reason. So have ordered the Nadamoo wireless 2D barcode scanner with Bluetooth and will compare it to this and if it does as good a job on Dell regular bar codes and in addition 2D barcodes then will end up keeping the new one and return this one. All they need to do is release a model with 2D barcodes and the ability to scan from a screen and this would be perfect.

Scanner worked well right out of the box. Paired easily with my Win10 laptop as well as my iPad Air when following the instructions available in the included manual or on the product page at Inateck's website. A handy "cheat card" with scannable barcodes to initiate BT pairing and switch back and forth in inventory modes is also included. Unit is light and ergonomic with TPU construction- doesn't feel "cheap" but also doesn't feel rugged; however, manufacturer claims it withstands repeated 6ft. (1.8m) drops to concrete floor. I have yet to test that claim. LOL! Had an issue when uploading a batch scan ("Inventory Mode") via my laptop to our Cloud-based inventory program where the data transmission speed was too fast and caused an import error. Sent an email to their customer support department at 2:04 pm on Wednesday; received a response at 4:04 pm with detailed, thorough instructions on how to resolve it, complete with the latest firmware files, their bootloader and updated user manual as attachments. After following her step-by-step instructions, I was able to adjust the data transmission speed to 64ms and voila! Batch scan import worked perfectly!! Apparently the firmware update added the ability to adjust the data transmission speed from 0ms (default) to 128ms. Haven't had it long enough to attest to battery life or durability, but based on what I've experienced thus far, I am very happy with this purchase and have no doubt it will perform as advertised for many years to come. *Note: wrist strap in my pictures did not come with the unit, although I did suggest to customer service that they consider including one in future packaging.

I have/had 5 different scanners including Motorola, Socket mobile, Honeywell, etc. Among those, Honeywell usb wired and this Inateck wireless are the top performer. It reads fast & accurate on any surface. (I am frustrated with Socket scanners). Ease of use. Instant connect/disconnect. Definitely recommend.

So far this has been a great scanner. It works with the different types of barcodes I need to use. It's easy to use, connects quickly to my ipad, and has plenty of battery life. Unlike most "wireless" barcode scanners this one actually connects via bluetooth so I'm able to connect it to an ipad and does so at a much lower price point that comparable devices. It's lightweight but not flimsy and is easy to hold.

We just set this up with our Shopkeep point of sale, and it is working like a charm! It is much faster and seems to more easily be scanning tricky barcodes than our old Socket scanner that cost $350. We are very excited. I will come back and edit if we encounter any problems. We do about 140 transactions per day with one scanner, so we'll put it to the test. Do note, if you are pairing this with an iPad via bluetooth, your iPad will think it's a keyboard and will not initially pop up the on-screen keyboard when you try to type something. You have to press and hold the trigger button to get your on-screen keyboard to pop back up. This is accomplished quickly and easily on the fly.

This is my 3rd bluethooth barcode scanner model that I have purchased - the first 2 model did not stay paired when my tablet was in sleep mode or after a restart. This scanner was easy to set-up, very clear instructions and did not disconnect pairing from off mode or sleep mode. I love that it has a power button. Reads barcodes (code 39) with no issues.

I purchased this to be used in testing web and desktop applications that my team develops. The overall build quality is very good and the option of using Bluetooth or USB is extremely helpful. I ran into a few issues with scanning special characters and reached out to Inateck support. They were very helpful in troubleshooting our special configuration requirement and were very responsive to emails.
