I mainly use ice cube trays when making and freezing baby purees, which is what my review is based on. The food spread nicely into the tray. It's completely even across the top, which is a benefit these trays have over the typical plastic trays that have dips across the middle of them. The lid fit over the top with no issue, and I was able to easily pick up the tray and transfer into the freezer. Something to keep in mind is that while the lids are useful for stacking the trays, they do not keep an air tight seal on the trays. This won't matter if you're using the trays for water/ice, but if using for food, you won't be able to store the frozen food for a long period of time. See picture for ice that formed on top of my food. It was really easy removing the pureed food from the trays. I had no issue at all. I pushed them out, and nothing stuck to the inside. I haven't noticed any smell being retained in the trays after using/cleaning. Overall, this is a great set and I'm very happy with them. Definitely recommend!

Great set! I haven't noticed any smells after using with food and/or after cleaning. The lids are useful for stacking, but it's not an air tight seal, so you wouldn't be able to store food for a long period of time. I took a picture of the ice formation on top after 24 hours in the freezer. This obviously won't matter if you are just using it for ice. Overall, I'm very happy with the set and would definitely recommend!

I looked for ice cube trays for ages and did not think they made them anymore. I needed ice cube trays to freeze my fruit juice from my citrus trees and did not want to freeze in large quantity. I should of thought of Amazon before I gave up. These trays are sturdy. I am able to freeze individual amounts of juice in each slot so I can add just a cube to my beverage or additional cubes for recipes requiring a specific amount. They wash well and the the fact that they have a lid is awesome. It prevents that freezer burnt look you get when something is placed in your freezer for a long period of time. I am excited that I found these trays. I have many citrus trees and bear a lot of fruit juice, therefore I feel I am able to get the maximum use of the natural juice and not waste it by freezing in a plain freezer bag and just chopping off a piece when needed. This solved my problem.

I think this product is great. I like for my cold drinks to stay cold, and these ice cube trays make this possible. These trays come with a lid. When you fill the trays up, the lids do not close tightly. I believe these were designed this way for the expansion of the ice cubes as they freeze. It took me a few times to determine the right amount of water to put into the trays. I found the ice came out of the trays best when I tapped the tray on the counter several times, and pushed the ice out from the bottom of the tray. I empty my ice into a large cake pan, then I remove the ice from the pan and store it in a freezer bag. I use the large insulated Tervis glasses, and three ice cubes will fill them up.

I love these trays! If you want some nice big square cubes and a lid you can't beat these for quality. Nice thick silicone holds up and washes up well in the dishwasher. Some people report having trouble removing once frozen, I suggest that you don't overfill them. Make sure the dividers are taller than the food or water. Then you can bend them over edge of a counter to loosen and they'll come right out.

Ok, so my very first time getting an ice cube out of the tray was a bit frustrating. I think it really must have been user error because my 6 year old daughter was able to get an ice cube out with no problem. The inside of the tray is beveled so the ice cubes are square and pointy of the bottom and a bit rounded off on the top, I think they look cute. They work great in my wine. I was able to drink 3 glasses (yes, I know, dont judge me) for wine before it started to melt...and usually I have to refill my ice for every glass. Needless to say this came in very handy.

I cannot say enough how much I love this company and their products!! I own several items they sell & they are all awesome. I could not believe how easy it was to get the ice cubes out of the tray. They just pop out. I also noticed when I was opening the package that the trays were oven safe, so I made little brownie bites in them. They can out wonderful! I also made some jello in them & those turned out great too. Would be great for Jell-O shots! These are so versatile & have some many possibilities for use other than ice cube trays. I highly recommend this company & this product.

I have never seen ice cubes come out SO easily. Literally just barely a push on the bottom a each "cubicle" and out pops a perfectly formed ice cube. I used these to freeze a bunch of pomegranate juice so (1) it wouldn't go bad before I could drink the giant bottle of it, and (2) so I could use it in my smoothies instead of ice. I was ecstatic that there was ZERO, ZIP, NADA staining on the lid or in the tray. A quick rinse with warm water and you'd never know such a dark red liquid had been in it. I love that these are covered. My freezer has a French-door, so I really wanted to have a covered ice-cube tray in case there was any jostling getting these in the freezer. The lids worked perfectly. Also, I'll make a note of this above in the question, I measured the volume of each cubicle and it is 2 Tbspns/1/8 cup each. I measured these three times using both a tablespoon and using a 1/8 measuring cup. That is the volume w/o going smack dab to the very, very rim of each cubicle and without having the liquid go over the top and just being held on by the surface tension of the water. These could easily be used to control portions in freezing juice or broth, etc. This set is all I could have wanted. Highly recommend.

I like ‘em. I soaked the trays in hot soapy water for a couples hours, then I did a light rub to remove surface elements/residue. Then I placed them in new hot soapy water overnight. I couldn’t wait longer than that; I wanted cubes! We had no taste change in the water. We do have a softener, 3 house filters and 3 under-counter filters; followed by a Kangen Water Ionizer. So I’m picky about water taste. These trays, prepped right, had bo residual taste. The tray lids work okay. Nothing fancy. You still need an ice tray rack to set these in. Cubes come out easily

These are excellent ice trays. Big ice cubes are a must for any liquor drinker that takes anything on the rocks. The silicone is a very hard silicone that gives these trays a durability and the plastic covers makes them great for stacking and to keep away any other freezer odors. All you really need is one or two cubes for any standard cup or glass and you're good to go. Little tip: To make your life easier, run the trays under a warm tap when you take them out to use and those suckers pop or slide right out and you're set. Definitely will be buying more.
