Well made metal mount.
This is much better quality manufacture than would be evident from the price. Its made of metal with a matte/crinkly powder coating (think classic Nikon ED lenses). The cylindrical female tripod screw is good, and it can be removed if your stands already have the cylinder. The flash cold shoe has a clamping action, with springs. You can tighten it against your flash, or trigger. This is especially helpful if you have a trigger like the Yonguo 603 v1, which didn't have a screwdown for its hotshoe mount. On this mount you don't have to worry, you can tighten the clamp to the trigger and therefore it stays nice and steady. The umbrella hole and screw is fine. At first I wished they'd used a bigger thumb screw, later I realized that with hollow umbrella shafts you might end up tightening it too much. So I'm not complaining. The angle adjustment is detented. You have to loosen the screw a decent amount to overcome the friction/click action of the hinge. This means that even if the screw gets loose, or isn't tightened too much to begin with, the weight of the flash and umbrella won't cause the whole thing to tilt over. All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase. For the price (actually, regardless of the price) the quality of the mount is very good.

Well Made, Good Value
I am adding Speedlights to a Novatron studio setup, and these worked great. A cold shoe replacement which works perfectly with Novatron stands and umbrellas. A very minor issue with one thumbscrew, which I solved by switching thumbscrews. Also, the smallest thumbscrew is too small for my fingers, I needed a screwdriver. All minor. All-in-all solidly made and a great price. Exactly what I expected.

Sturdy metal construction-Nice addition to my lighting setup
I like these flash mounts. I use them on my light stands for umbrellas and soft box lights. It's nice that they gave me adapters in case my light stand didn't accomodate the mounts. My stands work perfectly without the adapters but it looks like these could even be fastened to a standard camera tripod with the threaded barrel connectors.BTW, the adapters are reversable with two different thread sizes for a variety of stand/tripod connections. These mounts appear to be made of metal... they feel heavier than aluminum, but in any case they are very sturdy. You can't miss with these if you want to use a flash in your umbrella lights. If I had any complaint, it would be that they use a knurled screw in two places that required a screwdriver to loosen/tighten. In two other joints they used a plastic knob for tightening... those work great, I wish they had used plastic knobs all around rather than half and half. I will probably try to find plastic knobs for the two places they didn't use them. Overall... I'm really happy with these mounts.

Great Versatility with a Great Product
A must have for location photographers wanting to add light to a shot. I use mine with my Nikon d750 on commander mode to trigger multiple strobe lights for a studio effect on location. It gives me the freedom to mount umbrellas and other accessories.

Good, basic speedlight mount
We needed a pair of remote speedlight mounts that we could use with our light boxes, and we didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for a high-dollar pair built for extremes we will never subject our gear to. These did exactly the job we needed them for, and I would say they of higher quality than I expect for the price we paid. If you're not doing something really wild and crazy with you speedlights, I'd say these will do the job without breaking the bank.

Nice and allow you to angle your speedlite
I liked these so much I bought them again. When shooting in the field with my speedlites, I'm very happy. They have a nice metal cylinder inside that attaches to my existing stands which helps reduce the need to make additional purchases to use these. The screws are decent quality and do well to grip what they are connecting to. I can tilt them easily for additional angles when needed. The top cold shoe mount also is quality having springs inside to help provide counter tension. Just remember to clamp your flash down for added stability.

Extremely Well Made
Appears to have been machined from a solid piece of metal. Fit and tolerances are so close that I could not believe from a reasonable priced bracket. Puts a lot of the major brands to shame with such incredible workmanship with a precision fit. No wobbles. Umbrellas and softboxes hold straight and true. You need never overtighten the screws since a little amount holds things firmly the first time and continue to hold. In my book, that is absolute quality. When it fits the first and only time. Otherwise even though it was assembled in several pieces, really the fit and quality is first rate. Buy a set, you will not regret it.

Versatile and Reliable
These brackets hold a speedlight quite securely if you use a screwdriver to tighten the screw on the jaws. I was unable to rely on "hand tight" assembly but the screws are slotted. They are just a bit small. The design provides plenty of flexibility for aiming your light and umbrella. The studs provided are machined - not cast - aluminum. They produce a nice, smooth pivoting motion during aiming. For an aluminum bracket of this quality you really can't beat the price. I bought four.

Don’t speculate these are very high quality for the price. You won’t regret purchasing these.
Hi, I had ordered a set of neewer speed light mounts. When I install the umbrella, the screw stripped out with no pressure being applied at all. Very cheap plastic. I sent them back, expeditiously. I love these because they are well-made, very high-quality and strong metal. Without a doubt they will last for years. Thank you so very much for very very high-quality product. Kind regards, Earl Glass

Best brackets I've purchased
I do all my location portraits using speed lights, light modifiers and some kind of bracket like this to hook it all together. I have purchase similar products over the years from a number of different Amazon vendors, but most of them had plastic parts that eventually broke, a slot for the umbrella that didn't lock properly, or those annoying extra-long flash mounts that have resulted in too many of my flashes falling off and breaking. These are by far the sturdies, best designed brackets I have found. And they are priced even better than those plastic versions!
