Fit perfect and worked fine. The rule is to fully charge the battery then let it die and recharge again. It took a very long time to die out but that was a good thing. In IT we learn to be patient. :-).

Just what I needed

I'd never replaced the batter on a laptop before but I found a video online and it was easy. I followed the initial charging instructions and so far, so good.

Great Price, Great Battery!

After two years of hard use my original HP battery began to give out on my laptop so I checked at the HP store and they wanted $75 for a new one. Instead I found this one here at Amazon and snapped it up after checking out the reviews, of course. I've had it for a couple months and am quite satisfied with it. It gives me around 4 hours of continuous usage which is comparable with the old one when it ws new. My particular laptop model has the battery in a snap in compartment across the bottom rear of the machine so installation was literally a snap. The product arrived on time but way overpackaged but since Amazon was the fulfiller, that's on them not the seller. It was in a standard mailing bag inside of about a 24"x8"x8" box with a strip of six air pillows labyere over it. Like I said overkill.

How to charge the battery

Hey, I liked how I learned something from the battery's booklet that wasn't even included with my original laptop. Don't completely drain the battery to no power. Save some 2% to 5% before die out. Full drain damages battery and shortens life usefulness. Good advice that was not supplied by the laptop manufacturer. Battery is a good replacement for the original.
