I really like this frame, it's made of sturdy rectangular tube steel, all the flanges are securely welded in place and the main rails are stitch welded (not just spot welds). Rock solid with our combined weight of 320 lbs. The wood slats are attached with a Velcro tape so you just lay them out on the rails and they stay put. This frame is not the "no tools required" frame, but assembly was quite easy about 15 min. One quick browse of the instructions is enough to make it all clear and each leg/rail connection point is numbered. The frame is just the right height for siting (with the 12" Zinus mattress) and provides 12" free and clear underneath it for storage (except for the center leg). I really like the Zinus mattress too so far, but it's only been a couple weeks so I'll review that later.

This very nice bed assembled in just a few minutes. All the parts were clearly labeled. The bolts to connect them went in easily and quickly. The wooden slats are sturdy and suitable for a foam mattress, which I use. The space between slats is exactly 2.5 inches, and the slats themselves are 2.5 inches wide, so they give good support and ventilation. The bed would be suitable for a bunky board or other base, too. The narrow width is suitable for children or if you have a small space. I actually find it fine to sleep on, and I’m a plump woman. The height is good for use as a daybed if you need it to double as a sofa. Overall a good choice for a small space or for economy.

Super easy to install - I did it myself in less than an hr. It turned out great. I put a box spring AND mattress atop it so my bed is super high which I like. I was able to store tons of stuff under my bed which is exactly what I was trying to do. I definitely recommend it. (I put a 21 inch bed skirt over my box spring and it looks great).

This Is a great bed. I got three of them and no problem. I think some of the bad reviews come from people who are not very Mechanically inclined not to say this that's some kind of engineering degree but it helps to know how to tighten bolt without over tighten and striping out the screws. I have a couple of Tip that might help. 1: Put the whole frame together very loosely before you tighten it down. 2: Put Loctite Red on all the screws this will help them from backing out and the bed frame squeaking during your extracurricular activities. 3: Don't jump on the bed it is not a Trampoline. If you can't help but jump on the bed buy your self a Trampoline to sleep on. I hope this help some people out there.Get yourself a good night sleep

Zinus is now my Go To brand. The Zinus 12 Inch Performance Plus/Extra Firm Twin I ordered was my first "Hybrid" mattress. I wanted the Extra Firm because the bed would be used as an occasional Guest Bed and a daily use Day Bed. The bed is in my home office and is wonderful to sit on or lye on during the day. The package came quickly and in great condition, being a hybrid it relaxed from the packaging very quickly. The quality is fabulous and I now own two Zinus bases because of the confidence I have in the quality of Zinus products. The base I put under this Zinus 12 Inch Performance Plus/Extra Firm is the Zinus 14 Inch MyEuro SmartBase / Wooden Slat. I gently modified the Zinus Headboard Bracket (stated it would not fit but was easy to bend a tab and use) and am thrilled with the result. I was so impressed that I ordered the Zinus Modern Studio 14 Inch Platform 1500 Metal Bed Frame for a double old school bed we have and tossing the box spring and using this base made the bed new again. The this unit uses a simple assembly method that had it together and bolted to a headboard in no time. It really added value to an old mattress and guest room.

This is a good bed with the nice bonus that the wooden slats are velcroed with strong velcro to the frame, making them removable if need be, like if you wanted to move or just access whatever's under the bed. It was easy and quick enough to assemble by myself. My only complaint is that it just isn't high enough. I had recently gotten rid of a couch but kept the pedestal feet for some weird reason- it paid off because now the feet are lifting up this bed to give it enough clearance to store plastic storage bins under. The bed is light enough to lift with a foam mattress on top of it onto the feet, but heavy enough not to slide off them (so far). So, that's good. I've had this bed for a year.

This thing was SUPER easy to install, literally took me 10 minutes. Here's my suggestion. Take everything apart EXCEPT the wooden pieces. DO NOT ATTACH anything. Line up all the numbers. Just set the pieces next to each other. You literally just match all the numbers. 1-1 2-2 3-3 4-4 5-5 6-6 7-7 8-8. That's it. Do the head or footing first. Then do the other side. Just put the nuts/bolts in tight enough to hold it together, meaning, use the allen wrench tool that's provided, but don't tighten it up more with any pressure, just close enough so that it doesn't fall apart. Do this all around. Then go back all around and tighten it. Don't ever tighten it more than you need to. The rule of thumb is you hand tighten it as much as you can, then 1 full turn. If you over tighten ANY bolts/nuts, you will damage the pieces. tldr; first line up all the bolts/nuts then go back around and tighten all the bolts again, the last 1 full turn should not be over tightened as you will damage the product - it happens with anything you over tighten ... If you are not mechanically inclined... DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. Put it on just enough so it doesnt fall apart, then do 1 full turn. That's it. Goodluck

Super easy to assemble. Alone, on a hardwood floor, I managed to put it together in about 20mins with no scratches to the floor. Also had to take it apart and put it together again only a little while later, and it was just as easy to disassemble and reassemble. The pieces were easy to move out of their packaging, as well. The wood slats are great for memory foam mattresses, as they are close together, and I like that they're nice enough looking that when they are visible under my mattress, they're not unpleasant to look at. Lots of room for under-bed storage, perfect for a small space. Seems sturdy. Doesn't squeak, but you definitely need grips under the legs to keep it from moving.

After reading extensively through the other reviews, I went ahead and ordered this knowing what the possible problems could be (drilled holes not lining up and middle support too short because of facing legs the wrong way when putting together). I could always return it I figured. Mine arrived perfect. No scratches, no mismatched holes, and I found the directions easy to follow especially with the tips from the other reviews. I set my pieces out and lined up my numbers before screwing anything in to ensure I wouldn't realize an earlier mistake at the end and have to dismantle the whole thing! I found that helped me visualize too. All in it took me about 25 mins (but 5 mins of that was unpacking and laying the pieces out on the floor with my five year old daughter's assistance!) and I only needed the provided tool. I was nervous about the wood slats from other reviews and while they don't seem as rock solid as the metal frame, they are slightly better than I expected. This was purchased for a full size mattress for guests and overall I am extremely happy with it and would purchase another in the future.

This frame is the best decision of my life! I was looking for something sturdy and makes zero noise, but was also affordable. I have a very active sex life and very noise conscious neighbors, so a noiseless frame was very important. This frame does it so well!! I highly recommend it to everyone, it can support a lot of weight too, I had 5 people sit on my bed and nothing broke! Plus it looks so beautiful and there's lots of room underneath!
