• The best price for 50 mil automotive butyl and foil sound deadening! You are not just buying an excellent quality sound deadener but also saving more than 20% comparing to Gtmat, Boom Mat, Dynamat Extreme, Hushmat and Stinger RoadKill!
  • Now everyone can easily eliminate the annoying road noise in the vehicle. We've designed the product that pretty efficiently handles the rattle and reduces noise while being affordable to almost everyone. Kilmat would deaden the entire car for the same money that would be enough to only insulate the doors using the expensive brands material.
  • Automotive self-adhesive insulation consists of butyl. KILMAT sound deadening has a total weight of 0.35 lbs/1sqft. This weight ensures optimum efficiency and sound insulation that could be possibly gained from 50 mil thickness material. KILMAT 50 mil is light weighted sound deadening material!
  • Car insulation KILMAT has a special indicator as to if it is installed correctly. The special embossing on the foil must be rolled out with a roller till it is plain smooth, then you'll be 100% sure that the soundproofing is set correctly and professionally! The sound dampening material comes in handy size sheets which make it easier in terms of cutting and installation process!
  • Sound deadening material specifications: Nominal thickness 50 mil; Total coverage area of 50 sq.feet; Number of sheets in the stack 47; Nominal sheet Size 9.8x15.7 inch. Roller is not included.

I almost went the "poor mans" way and bought Frost King Foam Duct Insulation, but then I saw this Kilmat sound deadening was about the same price as the Duct Insulation. Using prime, I ordered and received the package the same day. I found it was easier to work with this material with my bare hands as using gloves the adhesive stuck to the gloves making it difficult to install - once I took the gloves off it was much easier to work with the material. I also found it to be easier to use a good pair of scissors instead of a straight edge razor - the material is thin enough to use scissors. It was a cold day outside and when the temp dropped below about 42 degrees the kilmat material became much harder, so recommend installing on a day between 50-70 degrees outside. Also, the foil liner wasn't too sharp, I didn't have to worry too much about cutting myself using my bare hands. As far as it doing it's job as a sound deadening material? I installed these in a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I can definitely tell a difference on the road noise, especially on the highway. It's probably a good 25% quieter, if not more. My doors feel heaver, have a nice THUNK when I shut them, and sound solid when I tap the doors with my knuckles. I replaced my speakers in my doors at the same time and I am very happy with the results - no rattles and great sound. I did two layers - one on the outside panel and one on the inside panel - maybe overkill, but I received 50 square feet, which was enough to do all four of my doors doing double layers. This is A+ material.

I used this to cover the doors of a two-seat convertible. I bought the recommended roller to apply it. Eay to cut, easy to stick on, easy to mark with a sharpie for where to cut and most of all, IT WORKS. I have a Bang and Olufsen audio system in the car and it brought out the bass a bit more and the midsection is definitely cleaner sounding with the vibrations and road noise reduced. I'm going to put it under the carpet in the floorboards to see if it helps there as well. I only used like 5 sheets for the doors....plenty left.

I purchased this to line the bed of a project vehicle...my 1991 Bronco. With a hard wallpaper roller and a pair of decent, not great, shop scissors and a rubber mallet...yes, a mallet. Started with the fender wells, curved surfaces take a little thought, though even an overlap can easily be rolled flat. Made the seams near perfect by tapping them down with the mallet. Flat surfaces were a snap. The bed/floor is not flat, so I rolled the indentations "sideways" to work the material down. Went in way easier than I anticipated. Sound attenuation is "pretty good" for about 3/32 +/- thickness. I'd like to have had larger pieces, although they may have been a PITA to install, the sticky is pretty sticky...but does allow re-positioning. On a difficulty scale 1-5, 5 being hardest, I give it a 2.

Arrived early and in great shape. Have completed 4 doors of my minivan.and am impressed with the quality of this product. The foil is strong and thick and very resistant to tearing. The butyl rubber deadener is also strong with a very sticky adhesive which should hold it in place. It appears the adhesive properties get stronger the longer the deadener is in place which allows for realignment if you need to reposition a peace-but you must be quick. You must insure the surface being applied to is very clean to promote good adhesion. Kilmat is easy to cut and conforms to various contours if it is rolled out well using one of the small rollers available on Amazon. Very pleased with this product and recommend it.

Decided to go with 50 mil Kilmat roll after doing extensive research and cost comparisons with other 'well known' brands. It was a no brainer on paper. Pros: - Super easy to work with and extremely pliable. Can easily be cut with household scissors. - Does not have super sharp foil edges and can be applied with bare hands - Very well packaged and comes in 50 pre-cut rectangle sheets, which is much easier to manage than a giant roll - ZERO SCENT/VAPORS - Decent adhesiveness when applied to a clean surface prepped with isopropyl alcohol Cons: - Stuff is a bit thin. However, you get plenty of product so I applied double layers to all panels for essentially 100 mil thickness. I noticed a rather noticeable difference in tone when I knocked on the panels with a single layer vs. double layer Probably worth your efforts to double up the first time. - the 'square pattern' application guides on the foil were a little bit difficult to press down fully with a regular roller. So I went over them as best I could with a roller, then used the back of the handle of a large flathead screwdriver which really flattened them out and gave me peace of mind Did 2 layers on both the inner and outer skin of the front doors of my coupe and still have over half of the product leftover. Stuff is really good and made a noticeable difference in my vehicle with just the doors done. Have not even touched the trunk yet. Rattles were cut down substantially and I can hear much more defined and fuller bass notes from my mids and subs. The front stage just feels a lot tighter and envelops the cabin. Tip: you do NOT need 100 percent application with these sound deadning tiles. 60-65% coverage on a panel is all you need. More than that and you are just wasting product and adding unnecessary weight. Would definitely purchase again.

I have never used sound deadening mats, but I customize my cars A LOT. The price of this product is way lower than the leading brands but the quality is fantastic. I thought I would be getting a lower quality alternative- side by side it looks and feels like the big name brands. You will notice how heavy the stuff is from the box, which wasn't light nor fluffy. I especially liked the grid system for easy and precise cutting on the foil side. Once I measured and cut, install was a breeze. In fact, I had to re position a few pieces, the glue had no problem adhering even with a couple of times off and on. I did the door panels on my Tesla, which was already pretty quiet. It "seems" quieter but unfortunately that is seat of the pants, not scientific. I didn't take before and after readings. I did put some behind the speaker in my Ram truck and sound DEFINITELY comes out louder than before, with less loss behind the speaker. 50 square feet is more than enough to do a vehicle completely. The instructions recommend using gloves- I didn't and found no ill effects or reduced adhesion.

This stuff is badass , i use it on floor and firewall of my drag cars , it bonds to damn near anything and stays put . We have it on engine side of the firewall and no issues for 2 years now granted these vehicles don't see weather or washing like a daily driver . But a 50sq ft box did my entire cab of my S10 drag truck and engine side of firewall . Again killer stuff .

Does what it needs to do. The most important feature would be the adhesive and it had no problem bonding to the roof of my 1955 Ford F-100. I cover the floor, doors, roof, and back of the cab with one box. This is all you need!

I bought this on a gamble, I have always used dynamat for my material. I was doing a build for a buddy and he didnt have the extra money to use dynamat. I ordered this not knowing what to expect. I got the item on time and it was packaged well. I pulled out the first sheet and was very satisfied right off the bat. The material is plyable and sticks very well. The car doesn't rattle at all. I would buy this stuff over the more expensive version any day of the week. I wish I would have taken pictures, it looks amazing too.

I have used many different brands of sound deadening insulation and they are all about the same. The thing that sets Kilmat apart is the price. Installation is so easy that anybody can do it. I like the precut sheets as they are much easier to fit than a giant roll. A roller is a must for a good install, so don't forget that! The difference in sound with only 50 mil is amazing, no more hollow tinny sound. I can't wait to hear it on the road!
