What a amazing kit for the PRICE! Includes 12 carbon-steel hole saws Also includes 2 mandrels, one hex-key, and install plate, and a package box Suitable for drilling holes in wood, PVC ,and more! I purchased these for a simple task of cutting holes in a lid for hydroponics! It cuts through with ease, the only issue 🤦♂️ I had was removing the cutouts of the lid. Even though it still removed pretty easy with turning it counter clockwise.it got the job done with little effort still leaving the holesaws super sharp for 30 more lids I cut.

last time, when i set up kittchen ventilation machine. it take me 3hrs to did that.at that time i so mad why i didnt have hole saw.i had to drill a hole first, then used a drigsaw to cut the board and plastic. after i put the dust, i had to fix the hole again. but yesterday when i want to cut a hole on the bottern of a flower pot, 1minute to set ip the hole saw, then 10 second to drill a hole. so simple.and it likes so nice. it save me time and energy.and it brings very good result. i m so happy i own this hole saw.

These are fine but you need to use a corded drill. Especially for the larger ones, a cordless drill just doesn't have the torque. I needed 10 three inch holes drilled in cedar, which is very soft wood. But there is a ton of surface area contacting the wood when you consider the circumference of a three inch hole saw. My 19.2 Volt drill wasn't cutting it. I dug out my old corded drill--which I haven't used in about 3 years--and it went through the wood like butter. My hunch is most, if not all, of the negative reviews here are because they were using a cordless drill on the bigger hole saws. $15 for all these hole saws and two mandrels is a fantastic deal for someone like me, who will use them only occasionally. If you are a contractor and plan to use them regularly, then of course buy a better set. I had a cheap hole saw set once years ago. This set is WAY better quality than those were. These came oiled up so they didn't rust in a handy case. I am very happy with the purchase.

Used to drill a 3" hole in my fuel tank for a duel port sump install. Worked perfectly and saved me about $20 on buying a single bit for the same purpose. Then used it again to drill a 2" hole out I sanded the remaining bit for a 2-1/16 gauge to be mounted in an existing piece of the truck. Everything still looks like new.

I was very afraid purchasing something with new Brand I never beard before but at the end I made a good choice buying the hole saw kit by tacklife , so far I had made holes in sheetrock walls , plastics in my car and 2x4 woods and they work great , hey seen to be made with heavy duty material.

These reasonable quality, reasonable priced hole saw kit provides you an exceptional selection of bits. These saw toothed circular bits are for wood only, using these bits on sheet metal will dull the blade. However they work well on wood and would be my choice again if I were to use a bit just a few times in a lifetime, like a hobbiest, basically they’re for light duty usage. I was initially confused by an ill fitting nut, but I flipped it over and all was good.

I purchased this relatively inexpensive set for one project... to make a standing wine rack for my RV. I found them to be as described and well worth the purchase price. The multiple sizes matched my measurements and they were sturdy enough for my project. I went against advice and used for reclaimed Oak pallet wood about 1/2" thick. I could not get a good hole with drill press. Too slow. Use at highest possible speed with light pressure, rocking the hole saw gently as it works. You will definitely get some smoking. It's impossible not too but overall you'll be pleased. Be patient and let the saw do the work.

I was shocked at how well this worked. Many of the reviews on using the larger saw were not positive, and that's the one I needed. I used it with a corded drill, which has more power. I needed to drill an access hole in a kennel for kittens. I wanted them to be able to have access to 2 kennels, instead of just one. The material is thick particle board (a little over 1" thick), and I wanted the hole in a difficult to access spot so I couldn't drill half from the top and half from the bottom. I managed to drill up from the bottom all the way through with only a little difficultly. Slow and steady, and rocking from side to side, I was able to get it all the way through. I also pre-drilled the middle hole. Going into this project I did not have high expectations. Many of the things I think up don't work out. I was elated that this actually worked out. My foster kittens were also thrilled to have more space to run around.

I saw some reviews where others had questionable results but went for it anyway since this is one of if not the most complete sets for a real bargain price. I've cut over a dozen holes in 3/4" plywood using various size holes and have had no issues at all. Here are a few tips for success... Drill about 1/4" then pull the saw out and clean off the teeth. The saw will make very fine dust and the dust will clog the teeth and begin to burn. The drills are only high speed steel so letting them get too hot will ruin them right away... Make sure to tighten the nut securely so the mandrel doesn't get any vibration. That will reduce the chance of anything getting bent... For good hole quality, check for wobble before starting the hole. The installation plate fits onto the drill and has a bit of play. You might need to loosen the mandrel and move the drill slightly to get better alignment... For 15-ish buck you really can't beat this set. Would I recommend it for all day professional use, NO, but for once in a while use on wood, drywall, light gauge aluminum and plastic it's should last quite a while.

So I was on the hunt for a hole saw that didn't break the bank. Thing is... I couldn't afford to get so many different sizes of the "heavy duty" individual pieces out there for my hobby use. So I gave this one a try and I like it! It sure beats the old metal ring one I used previously... especially in terms of accuracy. Keep in mind... I have only used this for pvc and plastic (and probably won't use it for wood). For this it works great. The only downside is if you are cutting anything with depth.... You have to remove the shank and assembly in order to get the plug out. Ug. Not going to take any stars off though... I prefer the rigidity.
