Great corded mower
This mower was easily assembled. Great for the small area I need to keep mowed in my backyard. Takes a bit longer to mow than using a cordless or gasoline powered mower due to ensuring the cord is not run over, but easily maneuvered even with one hand walking forward or backward. Glad I purchased it as it met my immediate needs - and it takes up little room in my garage. :)

Great mower for a small yard!
The Black and Decker Electric Lawn Mower is a great option if you are looking for an inexpensive, lightweight mower, especially for relatively small yards (ie your mowing is limited by the length of your extension cord). There is some assembly required, but everything you need is included and assembly only requires connecting the handle together with knobs and screws, then sliding the handle into the mower base. There are benefits to having an electric mower. Because this is not a gas engine, you don’t have the added expense of buying gas and engine maintenance/repair. This mower is also a lot quieter than a gas engine, which is good for your hearing. Moreover, unlike gas mowers, you can keep this mower inside your house without worrying about toxic fumes. On the downside, you will have to be sure not to run over your electric cord! The mower itself has a 17” cutting diameter. There are six cutting height adjustments (from 1” to 3”) that are selected with a tab by the left rear wheel. The handle has two tabs for helping wrap the electric cord when you are finished mowing, and there is also a plastic cord strain relief to help keep the electric extension cord safely and securely connected to the mower. On top of the mower are two bike grips. To start the mower, you must squeeze the grip trigger then press the start button. To keep the mower on, you must squeeze at least one of the bike grips. The bike grips may take some getting used to if you’ve never had a mower with them before, but in use I found them to be just as comfortable as the plain horizontal bar (the bike grips may actually be slightly better from an ergonomic perspective). It’s up to you whether or not you use the grass catcher. There is a clear plastic door on the rear of the mower–simply lift the door and slide the grass catcher into place. In practice, the mower is very light, so it is easy to maneuver and push. With a 12 Amp mower had no difficulty cutting even tall grass, though when not using the grass catcher some grass clippings collected in the back of the mower between the clear plastic door and the mower body. However, the clippings were easily cleaned. In fact, the entire mower can be easily turned onto its side to gain access to the mower blade area. Note however that this mower does not mulch. All in all I was very happy with this mower. This mower is perfect for smaller yards, especially where the added expense, weight, and maintenance/storage hassles of a gas mower doesn’t really make sense. It’s powerful, quiet, lightweight, and easy to store–it’s a solid choice for the right yard! Thanks for reading. Works great
This is a great buy, I had long over grown grass this machine cut through it with ease. Most gas mowers would of cut out when going through to long of grass. Not this machine. I did how ever have to buy 100ft outdoor extension cable, which was a rather cheap investment. The lawn mower it self i really like its light weight and has a extension cord storage bracket on the head of the machine. It also comes with the clipping bag which is nice and easy to dispose of the unwanted clippings. I haven't had any issues with this electric mower, gas mowers are a thing of the past. You have to buy gas and oil. You need to change spark plugs. Just a total pain in the butt. For this electric lawn mower all you need is the machine and a long extension cable and you good to go. I also have a very large backyard so it isn't just for small yards.

Perfect for very small yards.
Perfect for SMALL yards. Our yard space is small and a 100ft cord lets us get our whole yard. I wouldn’t recommend for yards much bigger. Because we also have to empty the bag a few times too. But for our situation, I am very happy with this mower.

Its light, easy to maneuver
For an 83 year old woman I cannot overate it enough....and the directions for putting it together, along with how to feed the cord through so I'm not tripping over it no matter which way my mood dictates = what more can I say! Its a winner!

Works great!
I have a pretty long yard and works great, obviously if your yard has long grass it will stop running so you have to cut by layers and don't let it grow too high again. You will save a lot on gas

Runs like a dream.
The blade is super sharp, cuts through even tall tough grass. Takes a little bit of time to adjust to the cord having to be moved all the time however, does not diminish the quality of the mower.

perfect for a small yard.
ordered this to keep up on my small yard. Its the perfect size, and I love not having to worry about charging, or gas. The blades did get caught up a couple times, but the grass I was cutting was very thick, so I'm not really upset about it. Easy to clean out, and dump the clippings. Super quick and easy to put together.
