I used to have a tarp to cover my firepit. While it seem to be the cheapest alternative at first, in the long run I found that they are falling apart just after one year, besides they don’t look good. Finally I decided to purchase a proper cover (Duck Covers brand). Fortunately it was delivered fast enough to arrive right before the recent bunch of rains, which put the cover for a test for a few days. I was pleased to find the inside of the firepit to be bone dry. The seams are made by gluing or hot welding, so no danger of rain coming through them. I do not know how well the fabric is breathable, it seems quite dense, but no condensation inside so far. I like how it looks on my firepit, definitely better than tarp, the picture is attached. Note that I got the size of the cover notably bigger than the fireplace. As for my experience the sizes of the covers usually run on the smaller side, so better to get bigger. Time will tell how well this cover last against Southern California sun and rain.

I got this to replace the OEM firepit cover. I feels much more sturdy than the cheap one that came with the pit. I am excited to use it over the coming years. It fits well on the corners and edges as well, and it was my biggest concern not getting another OEM cover. It has straps on the bottom to tighten it but, I haven't had to use them yet.

Good large short cover for a 42" square patio heater. I have a gas tiled BBQ heater from AZ patio. Its the one with the slate square top and the logs. I have gone through three patio covers in the last 4 years. Its really hard to find a light weight affordable cover that fits well. This was perfect. It fits really well and has the side velcro straps to pull it tight. Its a little long on the bottom so I just tucked it under. Good value and good price.

Nice, no frills, economical cover. It looks well made of good material. Only time will tell about longevity. My table is 30x30 and the cover fits very acceptably, if just a bit "roomy". I think it could fit all the way up to its max rating of 32x32 without a problem.

I have bought two of these covers for an awesome firepit I originally bought from Walmart which measures 42" square. The reason I bought two is because the first one flew away in one of our massive Arizona monsoon storms. I knew that I needed to cover my firepit to keep the integrity of the unit in tact; I spent way too much money on it not to keep it in good, clean condition. I knew that the Duck Cover was the best the first time and would be the best the second time as well! The second one now has our name and phone number written on the bottom of it so if it blows away again to a neighbor's yard, they will know who to call. The Duck cover itself is a very sturdy cover that appears to stand the test of time. I have no worries about it at all that it will break down like the cover that came with the firepit did after only a few weeks.

I purchased this cover for my firepit to protect it during the winter. This is a fantastic product that works perfectly. We experienced record snowfall last winter, and the firepit was completely covered in snow, with about 4 inches of additional snow ontop! When I removed this cover in the spring, the firepit looked as if I had stored it indoors all winter, or better, because there was no dust! I even stored some outdoor tools and solar powered lights under the pit, and they also preserved beautifully in the shelter of this cover. It's hard to use this wrong, it's just so easy to use. And, the cherry ontop, the cover itself still looks good. The color darkened a little bit, but the fabric quality is just as good as when I first bought it. Can't wait to use it again next winter. I'll update my review next spring!

Duck Covers Elite 50-Inch Square Fire Pit Cover This cover works very well. First night in Oregon without a cover, the fire pit looked like a drowned rat. Surface dirt and raindrops. Amazon got the cover here in record time, as expected, and I unpacked it, cleaned the fire pit, and on went the cover. Fire Pit is 42" x 42" and the only decent cover I could find was my first Duck Cover. The fabric is nice looking and it feels soft to the touch, yet looks like plastic embedded. It is light so it is a no hassle remove or replace for anyone. Fit ... I knew before I ordered it the size was 50" x 50" so it would be oversized. It is, so plan A was to take up the slack with a bungee cord to keep the wind from moving it to my neighbor's place, 4 or 5 miles away. The Velcro works just fine as a loop to run a rope through and hold everything in place. To cinch it up, I rolled the unneeded portion of the inner Velcro and attached the outer strap. Works just fine and brings the bottom in a bit which was my intent. Then running the rope through and tying that down ... hey, when no one makes a perfect fit ... this works just fine. First check after two rain showers ... fire pit was not dusty and obviously quite dry. It works for me. UPDATE: Cover held up for two days of 40 mph winds, gusts to 65 mph along the Oregon Coast. In preparation I placed one thin rope over the top and there the fire pit stayed dry and the fabric withstood the winds without any issues.

This is my second Duck cover that I have purchased on Amazon. Great construction and fits perfectly over a AZpatioheater outdoor fire place. I wished that it was a little longer on the sides but certainly covers the important parts of the heater. This cover will last much longer than the vinyl cover that came with the heater. The Velcro straps secure the cover just fine, but I use two 48" bungee cords tied together to prevent the cover from blowing away during the hurricane force winds that we get here in Northern Arizona. My first cover has been on my outdoor heater for two years (in full sun) and still looks like the day I put it on. Purchase my second cover for another heater that is in my back yard.

I purchased this cover for my patio table along with the Duck Cover Grill Cover and I can honestly say I'm impressed with both. They're made of a tough, waterproof material that actually beads when it rains. The Velcro straps hold both securely in place and we haven't had either let loose and be wind-swept away. I have a square patio table that was 48x48 inches and this fire pit cover fits it like a glove! I could have even chosen to push the chairs under and it would still have covered all securely but I prefer the stack method to save space and just ordered another Duck Cover brand cover for my chairs. I have to say, I was amazed at how durable the material is, especially for the grill cover...I had purchased a black vinyl cover at a big-box home improvement store, brought it home and went to put it on my grill and tore the entire side of the vinyl on the metal grill corner. Not happening with Duck Covers, it went on smoothly and no snags, no tears, no problems. There are 4 Velcro straps on each of the 4 corners on the fire pit cover and they all wrapped securely around each leg of the table - it holds it down quite nicely. I anticipate all my Duck Covers will last me for years. I like how all my yard furniture/grill matches and Duck Covers will make sure these Cleveland winters don't ruin my furniture. I added two pictures so others can see the fire pit cover on my square patio table.

Purchased for my Napoelon St. Tropaz 49x49x24 outdoor fireplace. Really nice fireplace that came with no cover and the maker wanted nearly $100 for a cover. Got this Duck cover yesterday and it fits great. It's got a good extra inch on each end, so it's not too tight, but not too big, and the velcro straps seem to hold it down well. I'm only trying to keep it out of the elements, and I live in pretty much in So Cal, but a bit north of it.For $25-30 it's worth the gamble. Leaving anything outdoors 24/7 365, no matter where you live, it's going to take a beating and not last forever, so we'll see how it does. But I love the fit, the appearance is nice, and the quality seems about right for $30. It's not plastic, but it's not a canvas either. So far, so good.
