The box it was delivered in was torn up quite a bit, but the desk itself wasn't damaged at all because they added so much protective packaging material to the box. It took me 20 minutes from the time it was delivered to the time I got it put together. I couldn't believe how easy it was to assemble. The previous computer desk I had was a cheap particle board piece of crap. I paid about the same price for this one and I can tell it'll last way longer than my old desk. This Zinus desk was 100 times easier to put together, and it feels way sturdier. It doesn't have the shelves, but the actual desk (55") is so much bigger than the other desk I was using so I think the extra workspace will be a good trade-off.

Prefect space and best desk for the money. Love the quality too

Solid, heavy in a good way. Plain looking but not in a bad way. Using it as a desk. Extremely easy to assemble, unwrapping the plastic covering the legs and opening the box took longer than assembly. I used a cordless screwdriver hex bit which made it even faster. I feel the table is maybe an inch or two too high but it seems OK. Recommended.

this is probably my best amazon purchase - a real steal! the build quality is great, the table is very stable because of the all around metal frame, but it still looks light and modern and all this was for less than half a similar ikea table. after having too many ikea units, the packing of this particular table was amazing, i was really blown away by the packing quality and the assembly instructions that were so well prepared. I am so happy I got this table! <3

As someone who has moved 7 times in the past 9 years, I've become well acquainted with setting up flat-pack furniture, and can confidently say that this was the easiest piece of flat pack I've ever set up. As mentioned in other reviews, you build a metal frame which the tabletop sits on; the frame slots together, and is then bolted in place. Unlike with most flat-pack however, all the holes lined up, the bolts were easy to slide in and tighten, and all tools needed were included. In total, it took about 20 stress-free minutes to unbox, set up, and clean up after. Although some styrofoam was used as padding, the manufacturer thoughtfully put the styrofoam blocks in bags, so there weren't any styrofoam bits stuck to the desk or flying around the apartment while taking it out of the box. The desk looks about as pictured (contemporary, minimalist), and is extremely sturdy and well-built. While a little more pricey than some of the other flat-pack desks on amazon, I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a good desk or work-table.

All negative reviews are people who went way over the100lb weight limit estimate or people who's came with shipping damage. These tables are amazing as computer desks. My PC weighs just shy of 45lbs, my monitor weighs 30lbs, and the rest weighs about 10lbs. This table can hold that plus me (140lbs) no problem. Of course, after weeks of that it would start to bow in the middle, but not break. They can probably hold an evenly distributed 150lbs safely (just an estimate). The table feels very sturdy and solid and is easy to put together (though you might need 2 people for the larger version). The tables are also quite heavy, but not so heavy that it makes them impossible to move alone. I got two of the Espresso black ones and one of the shorter Espresso ones. They look so professional as office desks. The best part about them is that the color is a near-true Espresso that retains the wood grain appearance. That means that predominantly black computer equipment will not blend in, causing an "all-blackout" look that seems a bit dated. These are perfect for black-colored computer equipment. Grab the color that matches your equipment best. Since these tables are wood, you can drill accessories from IKEA into them if you want. They will hold it. They are also just tall enough for coffee tables and small drawers to fit under. I used to have two tables in my 12'x12' office. After removing some unwanted furniture, I have more space in the room and more desk space as opposed to my older tables. - The tables will NOT ship in 2 days, even on Prime (at least for the central CA valley). Mine shipped in 5, which was fine. - My table came with small amounts of shipping damage (in pics). It was so insignificant I didn't bother returning. Yours may vary. - I am 5' 3" and if I had a better chair, these tables would be amazing for my height. - These tables are heavy enough to not wobble on thicc carpet like some cheaper, lighter ones. - The surface of the table is not perfectly flat. Doesn't matter for writing & drawing. Not so good as drafting tables. Overall I will probably buy another one for my room, or put it in the garage. I wasn't even supposed to keep the third short one I got but I liked the build quality so much I found space for it!

Spacious and aestically pleasing. The top is SOLID. I don’t think you’ll find a better desk for the price! Great packaging during shipping and very easy to put together. I bought it with the Amazon basics low back chair and my computer is a 21.5” for sizing reference.

Extremely easy to assemble, comes with all necessary tools to assemble as well! This is the light brown and white frame version. :) EXTREMELY STURDY and delivered rapidly! Don’t hesitate buying!

I love this table. It has come in three days after I ordered. I got shocked becuase I live in Hawaii. It was so fast. Good quality with this price.

I just got this desk and put it together, so this is a first impression review. It is a very simple minimalist desk/table and everything about it is engineered and thought through around that concept. The packaging is excellent. The corners are protected. The internal parts are secured, protected, and compact. Open one end of the box and everything slides out by lifting the other end. There are seven parts, seventeen bolts/screws, and two tools included. Here's a bonus - three of the bolts are spares...you only need fourteen to assemble it. The bolts and the Allen wrench are packaged in plastic on cardboard, so they are well organized and easy to see what you've got. The other tool is a ratcheting Allen wrench that is very handy. During assembly I used two tools that were not provided: a knife to open the packaging and wire cutters to cut the zip ties holding the frame pieces together. The instructions have several large easy to read and follow diagrams. I'm very handy and typically put these things together with very little cursing. Even so, this was much easier than most. It took me about forty-five minutes from opening the package to putting a computer on it. The hardest part was getting the holes in the frame to line up with the embedded nuts in the table top and getting the bolts started. The Allen wrench came in handy at that point. I highly recommend this as a small sturdy minimalist desk/table.
