First remote needed work, but the replacement works perfectly

If the remote wasn't so finicky I'd give it 4 stars. I couldn't get the remote to work until "amazon customer" answered my question. He/she suggested prying out the battery contact coils. I did that plus pried out the flat contacts too. I also found the positioning of the remote in relation to the player important. I had to hold it slightly below the player to make it work, and only SOME of the buttons work. The player: no problem operating it manually. Good quality. UPDATE: 8/23/2018 Bella from Tenker customer service contacted me and offered a free replacement. I got a chance to use the replacement last night. No problems with the remote, everything works. I'm upgrading my 2 stars to 5. Now THAT'S customer service.

Excellent

We bought this dvd player to use in the van, mostly. After reading many reviews, I had chosen this unit based on the fact that picture and sound are excellent and that customer support was reviewed as excellent. I have learned the hard way that this is very important. We had something go wrong by the third use. Contacted Tenker quickly and easily. In the end, they sent me a brand-new unit. I am so very glad that I went with this company. I dislike when people write reviews about something not working correctly, if they haven't tried to reconcile first.

The swivel screen makes it easy to watch from any angle

The picture quality is clear. The swivel screen makes it easy to watch from any angle. While moving, the DVD player it self doesn't stall or skip which is awesome for a portable screen! Great way to keep children occupied without having the ability to touch and be on any applications that children are now into! Great product!

AMAZING customer service, great little DVD player

Update: WOW! Best customer service I've ever had on Amazon. After my original review posted, the company reached out to me and sent me another, brand new player. Which works great, I might add. So simple that was 3.5 year old easily uses it by himself. Thank you so much! It was a lifesaver e saver on a recent cross-country plane trip! Previous review: I bought this on a lightening deal, NEW. The product was packaged as if it was new. However, the first time I opened it up to put in a DVD, someone's burned DVD was still in it! So beware, you may not be getting the new DVD player you are paying for.

Works great!

Works great! I was nervous at first because I never heard of this brand. My five-year-old son was able to use this easily on his own with minimal instructions (though he knows how to use a regular DVD player). The battery charge lasted from PA to CT. My one complaint is that there is no display on the screen anywhere to let you know how much charge is on the battery.

This is perfect since you have the options for them to hold ...

For long car trips I’m always looking for ways to entertain my kids so I don’t hear “are we there yet?” Anymore!!! This is perfect since you have the options for them to hold it in their laps or you can mount it to the headrest. Also the rechargeable battery allows you to take it anywhere. Plus it had a car adapter to allow it to charge and continue use while driving. I will definitely be buying more of these for each of my kids.

Traveling lifesaver!

We got this for my 7yr old because big sister recently got a laptop. He was jealous she could now watch netflix in her room. We weren't ready for him to get a laptop and internet access. We got him this instead. He can now watch his own movies without having a tv or computer permanently in his room. It also came just in time for a quick family visit (3hrs there and back). He loved having his own dvd player. Tje picture is clear. The screen can turn 180 degrees around so he can pick how hw wants it set up. The price was much lower than other in car dvd players and it's more portable.

Good Sized Screen! Definitely Recommend! We have TWO!!

Haven’t had the chance to use it long enough to know if I’m in Love yet, but so far it is doing great! I love that it can be used plugged in the house or car or with the battery!! We bought it for the long trips we will be taking soon. We have two children now, one who is in a rear-facing car seat and one who is in a forward facing car seat, and only one DVD player. We definitely needed another! I see it entertaining my children for a long time! Edit to add: We love our DVD player! We just bought a second one for our youngest. It is durable and easy to work. Only complaint is that we wish it had external controls- if you’re sitting and holding it, it would be much easier to push a button on the side with your fingers than have to open it up or find the remote and use it to do so.

So far this is a great portable dvd player

So far I think that this is a great product and I look forward to using it a lot. I bought it a few days ago, to replace a portable a now defunct dvd player that I purchased from another company in 2012 and as of right now, it far surpasses that one. It has great picture and sound quality and is very ease to use. Furthermore, I love that it has a remote, which my previous portable dvd player did not. If you want a portable dvd player for a good price, you should pick this one up.
