I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS. That being said, let me warn those who are plumbing novices NOT to make the mistake I did, which cost me a day's delay and $10 to replace the FILL VALVE in my toilet. DO NOT REMOVE THE LOCKNUT AT THE UNDERSIDE OF YOUR TOILET TANK. You only need to remove the TOP PIECE THAT IS PART OF THE HOSE THAT RUNS FROM YOUR WATER SUPPLY TO BENEATH THE LOCKNUT. If I had realized this was all I needed to remove, I would have been finished in 15-20 minutes. I stripped the plastic threads beneath the lock nut trying to remove it and I had to replace that part inside my toilet (which was no small task for me). See the first picture and you will see the lock nut that should not be touched at the bottom. Once I replaced the fill valve, it was a breeze to attach the bidet and it worked great. Also, I assumed that the short hose from my water supply to the fill valve would be able to bend like it needed to because it was flexible. But it was not THAT flexible. When I replaced my fill valve I picked up a 12" flexible hose that worked like a charm for just $5. Learn from my mistake and you will have an easy install

Brilliant in many ways: 1. No electricity required! This is HUGE. 2. No need to replace toilet seat with one that doesn't quite fit. 3. Fits my "french curve" toilet unlike Geniebidet. 4. Simplest most ergonomic control. Others have clunky knobs on top of an outrigger. 5. Includes a stainless steel mesh hose, not plastic like some others 6. Include plumbers thread tape. So it's better that all the other similar products yet it costs less!! The end result is better than having a separate bidet because: 1. less space required. 2. Sit down once and get up once. 3. Flush once: no separate bowl to keep clean. I would recommend a different installation sequence to make the use of plumbers tape in tight spaces easier: 1. Attached bidet hose to T-valve first. (Not 3) 2. Then attach toilet hose to T-valve.(Not 2) 3. Now attach T valve to tank. (Not 1) 4. Attach bidet hose to bidet attachment. (Not 5) 5. Mount bidet attachment and toilet seat to toilet. (Not 4) Maybe Brondell will agree and change their instructions.

This thing just works. I've always wanted a bidet toilet, but even the low priced ones come in at the minimum of say 600 dollars plus. Probably to get something decent you need to drop a stack(1000.00), but I wasn't going to do that without a trial run. Checked out just about everyone of these on amazon and after 2 days decided on this one. I have never used any other bolt on bidets, but this was a really easy install, and everything ended up in the right place. For the money and the Slim design that I wanted to avoid having to buy spacers or anything this worked out great. Everything lays where it originally did, and I have an elongated bowl, and a quick release quiet close toilet seat, so no issues there. Now, for the first use.... like in other reviews the first blast is a little scary, so I suggest you start out slow. After a few trial bursts I was really getting into it. I was laying into this thing trying to find a fault in the design or something. It hits the spot right on, and is strong enough to remove anything you can throw at it. All you really need is a medium turn on the handle and that should remove just about anything. I was really getting into it after the first few blasts, and took it all the way to the max just for fun. This thing does the job for sure, and after my trial run taking into mind that I was going hog wild with the water it only took a few pieces of TP to basically just dry everything off. There were no Klingons left captain, and I'm sure the next time i use it I won't be a generous with the water and spray, and it should only take a small amount of TP to dry up. I don't think I will ever go back to wiping again. This does give you that fresh out of the shower feeling as other reviewers have said. I will report back if something goes wrong and the product fails or breaks, but so far it is a 5 star product in my book, and for the price, just buy it!

My elderly father requires a raised toilet seat because he's too weak to rise from the average toilet. This means he's also too weak to lift himself and clean properly, a problem I knew a bidet could help with. Unfortunately it seems that most bidet attachments will not work with most raised toilet seats, and specifically not with the Big John W1 toilet seat I chose for my dad. The toilet seat is perfect and he loves it, so I resolved to test as many bidet attachments as necessary to find one that could work for him. I purchased literally five different attachments, but stopped at three because I foudn this one :) I can tell you that between the Luxe Neo 120, the Astor Bidet CB-1000 and the Brondell Thinline, only this Thinline can be used in conjunction with the Big John W1. Though it does cause a small gap, enough that the seat will move side to side if you use your hands to test the stability, the seat stays firmly in place when it's sat on, which is the important thing. As for teaching an 84 year old how to use the thing... My dad found the knob easy to turn, but was confused by the fact that it's flat. It wasn't intuitive for him. He also gets confused about which way to turn it, so if you're planning to buy this for someone with some cognitive issues you might have to help your loved one through using it the first few times. But now that he has the hang of it my dad has found this attachment very useful. Previously he would have to clean up at the sink with color coded washcloths - difficult for him since he has trouble standing more than 20 seconds at a time, and dangerous because he would get water on the floor which could lead to him slipping and falling. This bidet attachment has completely replaced the whole sink wash up stage of his cleansing. He still needs to clean a little after and pat dry of course, but he doesn't need to spend so much time standing and the potential hazard of the wet floor is no longer an issue. I honestly think this bidet attachment has helped prolong my dad's being able to remain somewhat independent in his own apartment for awhile longer, which to me is worth far more than the cost. I'm grateful the Thinline offered a solution to his hygiene issues while also making it possible to use the seat he needs for stability and safety. Hope this review can save some time and trips to UPS to return 5 different bidet attachments for my fellow familial caretakers out there :)

The slim design makes it so that it doesn’t mess with the alignment of your toilet seat as much as other bidets. It was very straightforward to install, it took me 20 minutes or less (And that included super cleaning my toilet). My husband always splatters the back of the toilet so I was really concerned about the cleanliness of this, but we haven’t had issues. Plus, there is a guard over the nozzle so when it sprays it comes out to spray, so there’s no matter on it that’s going to get sprayed on you. Our four-year-old loves it, and is able to use it. We’ve had a couple issues with him and our one and a half year-old being curious, but once the novelty wore off (two days) there were no issues and when there were issues it wasn’t a huge mess. With the slim design, I am a little concerned that one of the kids will break it by pushing on it or something, but I think that would be an issue with any bidet. We are very happy with our purchase

I ordered one of these Brondell thinline bidets on trial a couple months ago. We already had a Luxe Bidet Neo 185 we have been using for the last 2 years in the master bath. Other members of the household wanted their own. The price point, solid brass construction of the guts, and high quality connectors and lines from a company known for higher end bidets tempted me to try it. After two months of use, I have come to prefer the Thinline Brondell even though it doesn't have as many features as the Luxe Bidet Neo 185. It does have the features that were important to me: self cleaning nozzles and nozzle cover. I will say the Luxe Bidet does seem to have better aim than the Brondell, and the female wash helps with water pressure issues. What has really converted me is the pressure control on the Brondell. The Brondell is less touchy than the Luxe Bidet at adjusting water pressure. The Luxe Bidet has issues with spraying too hard. This is even after adding a valve at the toilet to try to reduce the pressure on the Luxe Bidet. The pressure is still too high. It just doesn't have as comfortable a spray as the Brondell. The Brondell thinline is also easier to clean and has a really attractive low profile design.. It has no curves or grooves for dust to collect. I had my reservations because it is really thin, and it has very different looking controls, but once installed it has performed very well. It is very ergonomic and easy to control. The longer we have had it the more we like it. In the end, I prefer it ;) I liked the price point well enough to purchase a second Brondell thinline for our third bathroom. I did the installations myself. I didn't find it too difficult and appreciated the included plumbers tape. The only difficulty I had was with the threads on the bidet line. They are plastic and you have to be careful not to cross thread them. (Everything else is bronze and they cheaped out here) It was pretty straightforward and took about 20 minutes. You'll need the same tools you use to take off and replace your toilet seat. One day, I hope to be able to afford the luxury of one of Brondells upper models, until then, the Thinline model is the best bidet on a low price point we have tried. They are very nice and do the job in a simple, well thought out, and well constructed way. I will be recommending them to family and friends. Bravo Brondell.

This is the 5th bidet we have tried in our household, having tried others before. This is just to say that I am not a novice when it comes to installing and using the bidets. Here is a list of issues I have faced in the past: 1. Leaky installation: Most common! I have had to disconnect, re-connect, loosen, tighten, put a teflon tape on ... and in one case, junk the darned unit after trying it with different connector pipes and so on 2. Missing hardware: In one case, the bidet came without a connector pipe and had to buy the pipe on my own. Complaining did not help ("oh, we always send it with the pipe"), and as it happens, this was unit that was junked. 3. Leak after a year of use: One bidet started leaking in about 14 months. The inlet fed a plastic tube inside the seat that went to the nozzle, and the nozzle-end of the tube was frayed and the unit had to be replaced. 4. Confusing instructions: In one case, I remember there was no clarity on how a rubber gasket was to be placed within a connector (yep, the very one that was junked) and I must have ended up buying hardware worth about the price of the original unit to make it work. The reason I mentioned the problems above is to say that with Brondell, I had none of these so far! The bidet fit without any leaks in the first attempt, it came with all necessary hardware (and a first - teflon tape!!! - thank you, Brondell! - even though I had some with me, I truly appreciated the thoughfulness of Brondell in ensuring that the installation goes swiftly), the inlet to nozzle connection seems to be using a stainless stell tube rather than a plastic tube and best of all, the operation of the bidet can be controlled via the nifty/futuristic looking knob that also allows you to clean the nozzle upon turning it on the other direction. I have measured the amount of time it took for me to install it in the smallest bathroom, where access is not as easy as in the other ones. Under 45 minutes, including keeping it under observation, wrapping up my tools, getting rid of the packaging and general cleaning of the cistern. Another remarkable thing - never once did I have a moment that had me stumped or worked up. That in and of itself must count as something! Five stars .. no doubt!

The only thing that I will say is that contrary to what is said in the description of this device, use an inline Ion water filter. These Bidet devices have very narrow passages for water to flow through them. Little pieces of debris and lime can clog these things up making back pressure which can cause this unit to leak on the floor. I learned the hard way by having to take this unit off the toilet and soak it in vinegar to loosen up the debris and lime deposits. As long as this device is free of lime and debris, it works great!

I love this thing. The turn knob is great as you can easily adjust pressure. No seat bumpers needed either. The fact that this comes with metal pieces is also a plus. Easy install, too!

Slim packaging; lightweight. Simple and easy directions. This takes about as long to assemble as it does to read the page of directions (it will take longer if you don’t read the directions!) You will only need a screwdriver and wrench to remove the screws on your lid. We have a relatively new, basic small commode. It is round (not oblong). It fits nicely. You need to be mindful of how far back or forward you install it, on the seat. That will affect how the spray head extends and retracts. If it’s bumping the inside of the toilet it won’t work effectively. The water supply is turned on fully and the water pressure was a little scary at first but we found you don’t need to turn it on much. (A little goes a long way). We aren’t small people and my hubby was afraid he might accidentally break it but we have had it at least three weeks and it works great. For the price I would recommend this product. ** If you have an old toilet or brass pipes this will be a bit more challenging. You will need to unscrew fittings and buy a flexible hose for your water pipe and possibly a fitting for the base of the tank. But not a big deal).
