  • Visor clip included

My Liftmaster opener has the purple learn button. The remote already had a battery installed and worked immediately after I pushed that button. Here's a tip regarding the clip installation. Use two sets of pliers to bend a slight vee into the end of the tab on the outside of the hole at the end of the clip. this allows the clip to clear the raised plastic button shaped keeper that aligns with the hole in the clip. Push the clip in so that the clip extends past the side of the remote then rebend the clip back flat again. then pull it back and it'll pop in place when the button and hole are aligned.

We got a new car and, like our old ones, it has a HomeLink transmitter. So we needed a remote to program it. Naturally our old remote is hiding somewhere. So I ordered this one as a replacement, programmed our purple-button Liftmaster/Chamberlain garage door opener to work with it (a ten-second process), then used it to program the car. No problem at all, and now we have a spare remote in the drawer again. Note this remote is for the purple-button openers. The button color designates the coding and frequency of the opener. As a nice touch, this remote came with batteries!

I received these today and programmed both remotes with no problem! I have a sears garage door with the purple fittings. The only deal is that I failed to read the technical review and didn't realized it came with batteries! I ran to Home Depot right after work to purchase the 2032 batteries. I wanted to be ready to rock and roll once I got home as I knew that the package had already been delivered! (sigh) I guess I can save the batteries or get a refund. None the less I am pleased! Thanks!

Very cool, I lost an opener and assumed it was gonna be a hassle to replace. I took a chance and searched on the manufacturers name and there it was. Two remotes for half the price of one from the manufacturer. Easy decision, but it gets better, the remotes showed up a day later with batteries installed. Better still, I grabbed my step ladder and headed for garage for the complicated setup, amazingly I was done in the time it took to grab the step thingy from the kitchen. I pushed the purple button on the back of the door opener and pressed the button on the remote and it was done. It took 5 seconds longer because I had two remotes. In addition the range on these things is better than the original. I have motorcycles and like to hit the remote before I reach my driveway so by the time I reach the door it’s fully open and I can roll right in and park without putting my feet down. Not important to most people but it’s a great thing if you ride. I read a review that said the range was poor but that must have been an anomaly because both of my remote have excellent range, in fact, I stopped testing the range because I couldn’t see my garage door from the distance I had to walk. I normally don’t right reviews but this one needed to be shared.

I was replacing a Model 371LM opener (Lift Master). First thing I noticed was that I could see red light when I pushed control button. Battery had already been installed. It was ready to program. Easy to read instructions (VERY easy to red), were included, which told me to press LEARN button ONCE; then within 15 seconds press control button on my remote. Instructions tell you that when you first depress the LEARN button, light on opener unit will come on, as well as light below the learn button. When your hand remote has been successfully programmed, both of those lights will go off. It only took two clicks for me and I was done. It was quick and easy and works perfect. Hard to believe this great product, long with its speedy shipping, came at such a low reasonable cost. A couple of things I would like to elaborate on are: 1. Where the LEARN button is located seems to be confusing when you read from different people trying to explain it. Pretend you are needing to change the light bulb. The cover that you snap open to do that, was the same place that I found the LEARN button. 2. Another thing that had confused me when reading what others wrote, was what the color of the LEARN button would be. I kept reading it would be purple, and it might be on some units. Mine was TAN in color. Wht I would take away from this, is that you should disregard the color of that button; it could be any color. But IT WILL BE labeled. The word LEARN will be be above or below the button you are looking for. One more thing... If your model number and manufacturer's name is not specifically listed... do not buy this without first confirming with seller.

It took me longer to take the ladder out, Then it did to program two remotes. They are super easy to program and use. I have been looking for new remotes because our current remotes take multiple times to close it gets kind of annoying. You get a really nice product for a Good price I highly recommend. You need to make sure that you have a purple Train button.

The garage door opener that comes with the Liftmaster is $40. I took a chance on this product and am very satisfied. It programmed easily with the garage door Liftmaster. It was much less expensive than the model that comes with my garage door opener.

Worth it. Works great was able to programme both controllers with out a problem. Mines have purple learn button

What more can you ask for? We moved into a new home with an automatic garage door opener, but the “elusive” Seller did not provide garage door remotes, nor did he provide the code to open the garage door from the key pad, so there was no way for my husband and I to even program the garage door opener button that comes into our cars...I originally went to HomeDepot, Walmart and various other stores and none of them carried any kind of replacement remote for the garage door opener (even though I always prefer Amazon, I was hoping to get one on-the-spot the day before we moved in without needing to wait for shipping). These remotes were perfect! The price for TWO beats most prices you’d spend on just one, and the shipping was nice and fast, and since it was JUST under the $25 mark that I needed for free PRIME shipping, I was able to simply add a pack of extra batteries for the remotes, as they don’t take standard AA or AAA, they take 1 round wrist watch-type battery (which conveniently also work in the doorbell at another house we own) AND a watch that my son has, it was a great suggested purchase by Amazon for just a couple bucks more (less than what shipping would have cost). The remotes are nothing fancy to look at, but they’re reliable and they were very easy to program. They also work with a few different brands...Liftmaster, Chamberlain, etc. I was concerned about that, but they work great! Happy with the product all around and would definitely order from the Seller of this product again!

It took me less than 3 minutes to connect my remote to the LiftMaster. It really does only work for the ones with the purple button. Just the tip for people who may need help. The purple button will always be on the right side and the red and green button will always be on the left side. There will also be chords that come out of the LiftMaster that correlates with a color of the button. If you can't really tell what color the button is because it's faded look at the cord color. That is how you'll know which Universal LiftMaster remote to buy.
