Great for what you need!

Love this new Apple TV. I love the remote especially. It charges like an iPhone, I've had many problems with old Apple TV remotes where the battery dies and it never gets replaced. You can talk into it and spell out what you are searching for with Siri instead of scrolling around and typing it on the older apple tvs. The airplay is amazing, you can play music from your phone or any video you can flip up to the tv. I also like the pictures of cities that come up when you aren't using it, very relaxing. That is the extent of what I do with this. I have a smart tv so I use that for Netflix and Ạmazon on that. This is solely used for the convienience of airplay!

Super fun for the whole family - even those who have trouble with technology

Bought this for my parents, and they have loved being able to see their vacation photos and videos on their giant TV screen, as well as online videos from YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other sources. The Siri remote makes everything so easy - you just ask her verbally, and SHE figures out which screen something is in, how you open it, etc. We also used it to play Drawful 2 with three generations of family (including several teenagers who are often too cool for everything...), and they all had so much fun they invited off-site friends to participate in the game's audience. (Finally - a way to interact with them that doesn't involve begging them to get off their phones! XD )

Apple TV is the best

I've tested the Fire Box, Roku Box (the new one), and the Apple TV and the Apple TV box works far better than the rest. No buffering; no waiting. It interacts with Amazon Prime and Netflix without a problem. I have a Netgear X6 AC3200 and combined with the Apple TV box it's unbeatable. I pump Directv Now thru it and the signal is great. I got rid of all my cable boxes and have the Internet only. Saved over $75 a month.

I tried the Amazon Fire Stick & Roku. This by far had is the best. If your serious about no buffering in your streaming..... this is what you need. Best feature is that you can connect your cat cable to the back of the unit.

I used to have a 3th generation Apple TV and decided to upgrade. This one is so much better, you are able to download and install apps, the controller is way better, I suggest you buy a case for the controller since I’ve dropped mine a couple of times because is so small. Overall I am satisfied.

One of apple hidden gems

Love these. This is my third one, never had an issue with any of them. They just work, look good, quite and you now have a giant iPhone tv. If you have an iPhone or a Mac it makes the Apple TV so much better. All your Mac movies, music anything on your phone you want to show on the tv can be beamed to it instantly. Video games!!! It’s basically the cheapest apple user experience you can get as it’s worth it. Then there’s the remote...

airplay with apple products

Apple TV is AWESOME!

WE LOVE OUR APPLE TV!...and EVERY OTHER ONE WE’VE OWNED PRIOR. My husband and I always lose the Apple TV remote (very sleek), so we LOVE having the option to download the Apple TV “remote” app so we can control the TV from our iphones! I find it much more convenient to use and I never lose it. What’s even better?...the apps! I LOVE the apps we have access to with the Apple TV! We watch the Investigation Discovery (ID) Channel a lot so it’s great having the ID app which contains an endless supply of true crime shows and specials: all seasons and episodes. The other feature we use a lot is “screen mirroring” which can be done using an iPad or iPhone. Mirroring takes the content you’re watching or reading on your phone (ex: a YouTube clip, a webpage, your photos) and projects it on to your TV screen so it can be shared with others on a larger screen. The Apple TV is dynamic, high quality, and a great way to get rid of cable TV too!
